[Ravenpaw]

Songpaw

Ravenkit groomed her pelt quickly before raising her right paw
and swatting her ear 
The black and white she-cat sighed her icy blue eyes
gleaming 
The she-kit scanned her area and spotted Songkit
"Hey Songkit"

[Songpaw]

(Nope, Ravens can not sing. Poor little things )
Songkit hummed slightly in her head as she circled two or three times in the soft mossy bedding of the new nest she'd made, testing it to see if it was suitable to sleep on. After watching the apprentices carry out their chores, the young kitten had discovered the camp's moss gathering area and had stripped some carefully to make a new resting place. Now that her and her sisters were old enough to no longer need their mother's milk for every feeding, she'd decided it was about time to give Tinydapple some room, especially as she seemed to have the possibility of another little on the way. She hadn't questioned Wolfkit and Ravenkit about her idea yet, but if they refused to move with her, she was quite happy to have the large nest all to herself.

Satisfied with her work, Songkit turned to look for her sisters, when the voice of one of them sounded in her ears. Pricking them, she bounded up to Ravenkit and blinked in greeting. "Hi sis. I made us and Wolfkit a new nest, so that mother has some space to herself." To hold her point, she gestured openly with her tail toward the soft mossy bedding. "See, enough room for all of us. What do ya think?" She tilted her head slightly in curiosity, ears perked toward the black and white kit.

Ravenkit smiled at her sister
"It looks great"
She purred looking at the nests

[Songpaw]

Songkit purred, glad Ravenkit thought so, then she flicked her tail at the other kitten. "Wanna play something?" she asked, ears flickering slightly as she wondered what games her sister might know.

Ravenkit looked at her sister
"Like what"
The back and white kitten asked

[Songpaw]

Songkit tilted her head and shrugged, whisking her tail along the ground as she gazed around the den as though it was going to start yowling ideas at her. Peering out into the camp, she noticed the ground was frosty white, with what was apparently called snow. She'd seen this before, it was cold and wet, and melted when you touch it. "How about hide and seek in the snow?" she suggested in a lighthearted mew, heading out into the snowy landscape before her sister could change her mind.

Ravenkit licked her paw
"Ok"
She meowed
"You can lead"

[Songpaw]

Songkit blinked at her sister, confused for a moment by what she meant by lead, before she shrugged and bounded off into the snow. It was deep, at least on a kit, but she plowed her way through before sitting by the fresh kill pile on higher ground. "Okay, you go hide, I'll count to ten!" Without so much as waiting for a response, she placed her head on her paws and closed her eyes, placing her tail over her face just to be safe. "One....Two...Three...Four...Five..." Songkit kept her eyes tightly closed, yet briefly wondered where her sister might hide. In the white snow, Raven would be easy to find, unlike Songkit and even their gray sister Wolfkit. Shrugging, she just went on counting. "Six...Seven...Eight...Nine...Ten!" The young kitten shot to her paws, ears pricked and tail flicking. "Ready or not, here I come!" Ah, how those words were almost ritual. The fun thing about snow was it didn't ruin the game as you couldn't scent track, so it made it harder to seek, which was all the more fun. Staring at a darker patch in the snow, she bounded that way and pounced on it, but it was just a rock.

Ravenkit nodded and dashed away to hide in her secret place
No way she will find me here
She thought 

[Songpaw]

Songkit raised her head and closed her eyes straining her other senses. She could hear movement, and just pick up a waft of her sisters scent. Lowering her nose to the ground, she took it in and followed it until it stopped, then she looked around for a good hiding spot. Gotcha! Cautiously she approached, pretending she was unaware of her siblings wareabouts before spinning and pouncing on her from behind.

Ravenkit smirked at her sibling
and spoke "How did you find me?'

[Songpaw]

Songkit moved off her sister and grinned widely at her. "I could smell you ages away. Apparently I can even scent track in the snow." The young Siamese kitten shrugged nonchalantly and swatted her sister with a paw. "Go on, it's your turn to find me!" she informed her, awaiting numbers to leaver her siblings mouth before she bounded off. Using the best thing she could think of, she quickly rolled in the snow to dampen her scent, before rubbing her cheek again a frosty fern to scent mark it, before heading in the other direction and hiding there, hoping her pale coat would blend in.
(She is such a tracker. Wolfy needs to get her posts up and sign up for a ceremony before they come around, could be very soon, even today)

Ravenkit nodded
"One...Two...Three...Four... Five...Six...Seven...Eight...Nine...Ten
Ready or not here I come" She meowed

[Songpaw]

Songkit smiled slightly before closing her eyes against the snow, knowing that is any part of her might be visible, it would be her bright blue orbs. Keeping as still as possible, she crouched in hiding, awaiting her sister to find her. Unaware that her tail was sticking out of the snow.

Ravenkit  scented the air before following her sisters scent
She spotted a tail sticking out of the snow
Ravenkit batted it softly
"Found you"
