Featherpaw would've raised an eyebrow if he had eyebrows.
What was Treasuredpaw doing? Trying to give him a taste of his own medicine? If so, it wasn't very good. "Not really." He replied with a shrug.

"Obviously empathy is not a problem for you then," she replied, her fur laying flat- or as flat as she could make it- once again.

Featherpaw sniffed.
"Perhaps. Perhaps not. I've yet to find a cat with whom I actually care about if I hurt or not." He gave a small smirk. "So far... None have quite proven themselves." He focused his gaze on Treasuredpaw. "I do hope you realize you're in the latter category, yes?"

"I do hope so," Treasuredpaw replied. "You're weird." Her tone matched how childish she sounded saying that. Her poofy ruffled as a wind blew through the apprentice den.

Featherpaw shrugged and sniffed.
His amber gaze suddenly turned serious and seemed to fixate upon Treasuredpaw, as if he were attempting to analyze every particle of her being. "Your ignorance is showing." He stated bluntly. "Weirdness is simply a matter of perspective."

"I guess you're right. But everyone is ignorant in one way or another. It is simply our nature," she replied, referring to all cats. "Even Mister I'm-going-to-be-a-butt-because-I-feel-like-it." She smiled jestingly.

Featherpaw huffed.
"And how am I ignorant?" He questioned. He huffed. "Mm... I wonder how our leader would take to you calling her ignorant...?"

Treasuredpaw rolled her eyes, not bothering to answer another stupid question meant to "scare" her. "I'm sure you can figure that out yourself," she sighed.

Featherpaw smirked.
"Should I take that to mean you can't figure out the answer to such a simple question?" Of course, Featherpaw knew it was not simple. Predicting correctly a cat's action should be nigh impossible, particularly if you didn't personally know the cat in question.

"It's not that I can't, I just stopped caring. Also, I was referring to the first question," She mewed, not even looking at him.

Featherpaw smirked and tilted his head to the side.
"Mm... Apathy? Seems like you won't any friends that way." He remarked condescendingly.

"Frankly, I don't want to make friends with you."

Featherpaw sniffed.
"Neither do I." He replied. He still didn't lose that smug expression of his. "Though... I was referring to all the boring other cats about."

Tresuredpaw shrugged. "I'll pick my friends and see for myself if I want to be nice to them or not. Not that I'm not polite to every acquaintance I meet."

Featherpaw shrugged.
"I treat every cat the same when I first meet them. Common courtesy is more or less slight manipulation cats use to attempt to get cats to like them." He snorted. "It's quite silly, if you ask me." He tilted his head to the side. "Well... Through our little chat, you seem to have grown... Or rather, shown to me your backbone."
