Lizards sunbathe t(o) keep warm.

[Lizardeye]

Lizardpaw stood in the secluded corner of the den where he and his friends chose to sit. He honestly didn't care for the spot away from the noise but he liked being near his sister, his friend and his... other friend, yeah, that's what she is to him. He stood up on his back feet and swiped at the air where a butterfly fluttered, his thought train going all the the place.

[Mockingpaw]

A tiny black and white moggie apprentice slept peacefully, dreaming about leaping from branch to branch in the morning sunlight, dappled on her coat. Suddenly the dream turned horrible and a branch cracked underneath her weight. Her nose caught on a thistle as she tumbled down and was ripped open. Luckily, there was only a faint tickling sensation and she sneezed, waking up and blinking open her eyes in confusion. A butterfly had landed on her nose. Great. Mockingpaw staggered to her paws and shook herself awake, looking around cautiously. He saw another apprentice who was continuing to chase the butterfly and took off after him. "W-wait!" she called in her soft, honey-like voice.

[Lizardeye]

Lizardpaw stopped as he heard another cat call out to him. He swung around and came face to face with a she-cat. "Hello," he greeted.

[Mockingpaw]

Mockingpaw halted and questioned herself why she had called out to him. "Uh..." she stammered, flattening her ears and looking around awkwardly. "Sorry..." she mumbled, then shook herself out. "Can I help you catch the butterfly?" she tried, flicking her tail and letting a faint trace of a smile flicker onto her face. "Please?"

[Lizardeye]

Lizardpaw smiled and purred, "Okay, I'm Lizardpaw by the way!" He flicked his long tail as he pursued the butterfly once again.

[Mockingpaw]

The tiny apprentice grinned happily and added, "Mockingpaw. Let's catch this thing!" she said, unsheathing her claws and bounding after the multicoloured bug.

[Lizardeye]

Lizardpaw leaped for the butterfly, paws coming within half an inch away from it's wings.

[Mockingpaw]

Mockingpaw followed Lizardpaw as she leaped for the butterfly, missing it and tumbling over her feet. She coughed and staggered back to her paws, before grinning at the other apprentice and taking off again.

[Lizardeye]

The butterfly flew out of a small hole in the apprentice den wall as Lizardpaw leaped for it one last time. He turned towards Mockingpaw and commented in his high-pitched voice, "Nice leap!"

[Mockingpaw]

Mockingpaw squinted at the butterfly as it escaped through a hole and she sighed, before looking at Lizardpaw. She let a small smile out and responded. "Th-thanks." the petite she-cat sat down and flicked an ear. "S-so what do you do around here? Wh-when you aren't t-training or chasing butterflies, I mean."

[Lizardeye]

"I sleep sometimes, or hang around my sister or Lostpaw." He blinked. "What about you," He said, ignoring her stutter.

[Mockingpaw]

Mockingpaw's eyes widened with amazement. "Y-You have a sister? I-I mean, of course you do..." she trailed off and glanced back at Lizardpaw as he asked about her. "M-me? Well, I guess I nap a lot. I like to scare my friends, too. That's fun." she murmured, blinking slightly. "Who's Lostpaw? I like her... or his... name!"

[Lizardeye]

"Oh, L-Lostpaw, well she's a friend that I met when we were still kits. She's a white cat with oddeyes- one is blue and the other is yellow, I mean- and she has a habit of talking weird," he mewed before quickly adding, "But she's nice anyway and I don't mind." He flicked his long tail around his feet and looked around.

[Mockingpaw]

Mockingpaw's eyes widened when she heard about her eyes. "Wow! Cool! She really has two different eyes?" she asked, grinning and bravely nudging Lizardpaw with her shoulder. He had the same look in his eyes as when Rainpaw talked about Hailpaw. "...you like her, don't you?" the comment made her get a little braver and her grin widened. "I can see it in your eyes! You like her!" Mockingpaw declared triumphantly.

[Lizardeye]

"What?" Lizardpaw meowed. "N-no I don't!" He denied. He blinked wondering if eyes do show emotions.
