Jaykit paced around the camp, thinking deeply about something. Concern filled his eyes. He pasted the apprentice den twice, and on his third round, he peered in, looking for his sister, but no one was around, so he kept on trotted. "No, no, no, no, no..." he murmured to himself, clearly troubled. A bird tweeted in the trees, and he stopped to look up. It was a sparrow, from what little bit of birds Jay knew. He never wanted to eat a bird, all the feathers, it seemed like it had no meat on it. He looked down and continued to pace big circles around the camp. Looking at his paws, he noticed how when he stepped down, a dust cloud formed underneath his paw. Huh, he thought, an idea popping into his head. He started running around the camp, looking behind him at the dust clouds he was making. He wasn't looking where he was going, and he tripped over a small rock and face-planted into the dirt, skidding to a stop right in front of a pair of paws. Songpaw

Songkit wondered around camp, utterly lost in thought. She was to become an apprentice any day now, but she wasn't sure when. Every morning she'd get up and groom herself to perfection, just to find out that it was yet another day she'd spend roaming, utterly bored, around the main camp. She wasn't with any of her siblings at that moment, not even the two closest of her sisters. Usually they were almost inseparable, if there was one, there was at least one more. Sometimes they were even known as the troublesome trio, or some other manner of name that referred to the three of them as, somewhat difficult. Now she found herself positioning rocks, well, a rock to be exact. She'd just seen a fluffy grey cat bounding toward her throwing up dust, and so she'd placed a rock in their path and crouched in wait to pounce. Let's just call it sibling hunting practice. Just as planned, the other kit tripped and fell on their face, landing right before her very own paws. With a victory yowl, the Siamese kit pounced on the other, pinning them to the ground. "Ha, I warned you I'd get you back Wol....." Songkit dragged off the rest of her sentence when she noticed stripes on the familiar grey pelt. She leapt back and blinked in confusion, meeting the others turquoise gaze. Wait, turquoise? "Hey! Your not Wolfkit!" She informed the tom indignantly, staring at him with unblinking blue eyes, before prodding him curiously with a paw. "Who are you then?" she questioned, now maintaining a half crouch.

Jaykit shook his head in confusion. "Huh, what?" He said, looking up at a tan Siamese as she prodded him with her paw, calling him Wolfkit, then asking who he was. "I'm not Wolfkit." he mewed, somewhat flustered by being called someone else. "I'm Jaykit." He slipped out of the gaze of the other kit and got up, shaking out his pelt. "Who're you?" He asked, curiousity flaring up inside of him. This kit was pretty, and funny. He sat up straighter, giving her his famous grin.

Songkit blinked at the other kit, dumbfounded. "I know you're not Wolfkit, I just pointed that out." She then twitched her ears and grinned at him, dipping her head politely. "Well it's nice to meet you Jaykit" she mewed back at him, straightening up and giggling slightly as he squirmed out of her gaze. She was tempted to swat a paw at him, but she wasn't sure if he'd react as well as her sisters, and she had just pinned him down and prodded at him like a dead fish. "I'm sorry, names Songkit by the way. I really didn't mean to pounce on you, ya see, me and my siblings are always trying to get each other, and I thought you might have been my sis Wolfkit." There was a hint of very rare shame in her voice and her ears fell back slightly as she met his gaze awkwardly, before matching his grin. She had to admit he was cute. "What's that? Lopsided apology accepted grin?"

"Yes it is," Jay mewed, grinning wider. She was pretty funny. "And I have accepted your apology, Songkit." Jaykit wasn't offended by being called a girl, besides, a lot of the kits in the camp looked alike. He had never met Wolfkit, but maybe he would someday. "So who's Wolfkit? I've never met her before."

Songkit purred, dipping her head before bowing over exaggeratedly. "Why thank you kind sir, I am ever in your dept." she mewed, as though she'd just had her life spared by a member of the ancient clans. Straightening up, she raised her head slightly but lowered her gaze as though I superior. Keeping up her act, she complied to his wish of answering the question. "Wolfkit is my sister, Jay sir. She is like you with no stripes sir." she told him, smiling gently without meeting his gaze. It was clear she was acting, but she was enjoying it too much to stop now. She smirked briefly, before returning to her composure.

Jaykit sat up straight as a stick, and tried to squash his smiles as Songkit acted like he was a king. He decided to play on the act, himself. "Rise, my fair kitty." He smirked, but it only flashed briefly, before he squashed it and returned to a straight face, tilting his chin slightly upward to look more regal. "I see the weather today is fair, too." Jaykit mewed, playing on words.

(Ah, sorry! I missed the thread. I do apologise. If I don't reply within a few days with no reason, please tag me. Edit: nah, PM me if I'm late, I'm more likely to respond. Just tell me to get my but over to the thread, then we could chat OC for a bit.) Songkit was glad to finally find a friend who wasn't too childish or too serious to play these games. Wait, friend? Were they truly friends? After all, they had just met. The Siamese was then reeled back to earth from her swarming thoughts at the string of her regal companion's uttering. Snapping back to attention, she muttered an apology under her breath and rose so her fisique might match his stance, though her gaze still wavered from his own. If she could raise an eyebrow, she would have as she caught his quavery smirk before it vanished into a mist of certainty and proper. As he spoke, he fine tuned his words and tagged along to a theme. The supposed follower adjusted her paws slightly and gave a small, unchallenging nod. "It is too, my liege. Is there anything you wish upon your fair clan today? Any matters to which to attend (to which)?" The kitten almost smirked, but remained reserved and justified as she awaited his response. (Oh, such content. Best worded post I've produced in a long time. We need to do this more often, it's quite amusing. Good practice with such plentiful dialog might I add. I also used to which to attend to which, though the extra to which is mere OC, as a reference from something I watched once. It just sparked in my mind and I plucked it off the shelf like a feather off a prissy bird. Oh, gotta love them similes)

(Sorry for my inactivity. I've been very busy lately and it seems like that's going to continue, but I will squeeze in time for a post or two.)
Jaykit looked at the other kit, and have a regal nod as he closed his eyes. "There is something you can do," he answered. He loved acting like a king, but kings can have fun sometimes. Again, he looked at Songkit. "You can chase me! Tag, your it!" Jeykit mewed loudly as he jumped up and touched his nose to her side.He laughed and sprinted off, calling back "The King had decreed a chase."

Songkit pricked her ears, wondering what her regal King might decree for her to do. Yet she was surprised when her switched from a powerful and just King, to a playful child, in almost a second flat. She grinned at this however, and as he tagged her, Songkit tore after him like a Fireclan cat. As he called over his shoulder, she smirked slightly and sprang with her hindquarters off the ground. Practically flying before she landed gracefully on him to end up tumbling them down a slope and pinning the other kit with an innocent look. "How's that, your honour?" she questioned, her kitten look turning to that of pure cheekiness. Oh, she could not wait to train alongside him as an apprentice.

As Jaykit and Songkit rolled down the hill, he couldn't help but let out a laugh as she pinned him down. "My fair kitty, you are quite the quick one," Jay's royal demeter returned, and he smiled. "I see that you will be fast as a warrior." He couldn't squash the smile that spread across his face, even though he struggled to not let it show. Something about his cat just made him a little light headed, and he couldn't help but grin.

(Lol, demeanour? Demeter is a Greek goddess. Lol XD)
Songkit grinned amusedly as they tumbled down the small slope and she pinned him, meeting his gaze from above with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Songkit forced a straight face as he spoke, bowing her head graciously, though she still held him down with three legs on either side of him, and one forepaw planted firmly enough on his chest to keep him down well enough. "I thank you, your highness. Though I am sure you would beat me in turn." smirking slightly, she bent down so her muzzle was by his ear in a rather cheeky way. "Speaking of..." she murmured with a smirk, before she suddenly swiped his cheek with her tongue rather than swiping at him with a paw, before leaping off him and bounding away. "Your turn my liege." she called over her shoulder with a mischievous grin.
(Ah, this is all fun and games for little kittens. Maybe she'll realise her crossing the line once they grow up a little. At an older age, that'd be classed as leading him on. Right now it's just a cheeky surprise XD)

Jaykit was surprised by Songkit's action, then grinned at she started to run. "Oh, no you don't," he called as he jumped up and raced off after her in a dead sprint, kicking up dust as he went. She was quick, but Jay was built for speed. Wind whipped past his ears and they flew across the camp. Jay was gaining on her, and once he felt he was close enough, he used the last but on his energy and gave a boost of speed, running into her side and falling on top of her with an oof. He grinned and mewed, "Gotcha."
(all kitten play XD)

Songkit glanced behind her as she sprinted along. Noting clearly that he was gaining fast. Picking up speed, she did I her best to kick it up a few notches. Though as he began to catch up, she was starting to slow. She wasn't quite built for running, being a Treeclanner and all. Though she was pretty fast. For a kit of course, older cats could easily outpace and outdistance the pair. Though technically they were both apprentice's in every count except the one that mattered. What was taking their leader so long? And why didn't Arrowstrike just do it after a bit of delay. After all, he apparently did so every so often. She was snapped out of her thoughts as (this big lump) Jaykit took her distraction as perfect timing, and pounced, slamming her into the ground and pinning her with a grin. Songkit giggled slightly before panting to catch her breath, rolling onto her back underneath him and swiping out a paw, giving him a bad tempered look that showed fake nests only in the glittering amusement of her eyes. "Get off me you big lump" she growled before laughing bemusedly and attempting to push him off. "This is not Royal behaviour" she reprimanded laughingly.
