The Night Holds Grudges (O)

[Kestrelpaw]

Kestrelkit nodded but then added "Can we talk about something else instead?" She asked wanting to change the subject

[Nightfall]

Nightkit's ear twitched impatiently.

"I do believe I've attempted that twice now... Glad to see you're finally on board." She replied, irritation subtly edging her tone on her latter statement. She reached for a conversation topic, one that could work, considering it was the middle of the night and they were kits. Hm. "Hobbies?"

[Kestrelpaw]

Kestrelkit thought of what she liked to do "The only things I do most of the time is try and work on my senses and such. I don't really have hobbies." She meowed shyly. "What do you like to do?"

[Nightfall]

Nightkit accepted Kestrelkit's answer.

Then Kestrelkit posed a question of their own. "Mm... Similar to your answer, I do not do much. However, I'm always open to learning something new."

[Kestrelpaw]

Kestrelkit nodded and curled her tail. "I'm out of ideas" she meowed

[Nightfall]

Nightkit appeared to be deep in thought briefly.

Humming slightly before giving a polite smile. "I have another conversational topic." Her tail waved behind her, showing it was one of the few things that excited her. "Apprenticeship. It will come around eventually... So, I ask... What do you expect?"

[Kestrelpaw]

Kestrelkit shivered at the thought of a mean mentor. "I expect a few things. I do expect some mean and rude cats in the future"

[Nightfall]

Nightkit sniffed.

"There will always be uneducated ignorant cats willing to attempt to reassert their own self worth by putting others down. It's best to show them that you are above them." She gave a smile that seemed almost smug. "I can already tell you certainly of a higher calibre of cats." She stated.

[Kestrelpaw]

Kestrelkit sighed. "What do you expect in your apprenticeship" she asked 

[Nightfall]

Nightkit gave a smile while tilting her head to the side, giving off a facade of happiness.

"Oh... I do look forward to learning all I can." She meowed, sounding almost happy. Almost. "I would never skip out on or waste the chance to expand my education."

[Kestrelpaw]

Kestrelkit nodded "I rather learn something then be bored all the time." She meowed "What do you expect your mentor to be like?"

[Nightfall]

Nightkit approved of Kestrelkit's response.

She felt it a much more satisfying response than she anticipates from another kit. She'd probably hear some rubbish about games being fun. Honestly, she understood it was for recreation... However, she viewed it as utterly pointless. Best to fill the voids of your life with something meaningful.

She hummed in thoughtfulness. "Not sure. Mentors could be any cat, theoretically. Could be strict, could be laid-back, smart, dumb, strong, weak, short-tempered, calm..." She trailed off, looking off towards the entrance of the nursery. "Only way to know is to wait until they get assigned to us." She murmured.

[Kestrelpaw]

Kestrelkit nodded. "We just have to wait" she murmured. The light brown she-cat curled her tail

((Erm... Can we keep going? I kinda want Nightkit to get her posts up to apprentice asap.))

Nightkit nodded subtly.

"Hm... What do you anticipate to be the most enjoyable aspect of training, once we are apprentices?" She looked to Kestrelkit. "So what is it... Hm?"

Kestrelkit thought for a sec. "Probably hunting and battling for others but I think the territory tour would be good...."
