Asterheart hi :3 Paleheart, yet again, had disappeared for a bit. The tom was growing bored of the daylight today, he wasn't used to it since he was basically born and raised in leafbare. Paleheart sighed to himself and looked around, spotting his mother nearby. He smiled, he might as well talk to her. He padded over to Asterheart and meowed, "Heeeey mom..."

(Hullo) Asterheart had practically fallen off a cliff and died by the seems of it. Her broken memories and the confusion over Robinstar was tearing away at her like claws, shredding her like the merest leaf. She shivered slightly at the thought, opening her eyes to the warrior's den. Not for the first time, she wished Spruceclaw was in Treeclan, and not flitting around with Sandstone over in Rockclan with their precious kits. Then she shook the thought away irritably. She'd told him to chose her, and she was glad he did. She didn't need him getting in trouble, and with her disappearances, he'd have nothing here for him anyway. Closing her eyes, the warrior was just about to curl up once more and fall back into a troubled sleep when a voice met her ears. Spruceclaw? She opened her eyes uncertainly. No, Paleheart. She blinked slowly before smiling at the young warrior and sitting up. "Good morning dear" she purred gently in response, meeting his gaze with her eyes glittering. It was about time she spoke to her son.

Paleheart returned the smile and beamed, "Morning." He said tersely. He felt somewhat rather awkward, he was speaking to his mother for the first time and he didn't know what to say. He decided that he better tell her about dad. "Guessing you know about Spruceclaw?" He said suddenly.

Aster found herself gently nuzzling her son as he greeted her in return before closing her eyes. Opening them slightly, she moved away and blinked at him. The silence dragged on for a while, and Aster was about to speak up when her son did so instead, the words causing her to flinch and blink at him in confusion. "Your father? What about him?" she questioned curiously, worry showing slightly in her eyes before she instantly masked it perfectly with a mere questioning smile.

Paleheart chuckled to himself at his mothers slightest confusion. "Nothing. Swiftstrike and Mothflight know, that's all. And Dewmask.." He meowed, positioning his thoughts on his mate. He shook his head violently and glanced at Asterheart, "So how's life been going?" He asked.

Asterheart allowed herself to settle, taking a steadying breath. It was good her kittens knew who their father was, she would have introduced them if she'd had the chance, but they seemed to have taken the choice meeting into their own paws. She smiled at the mention of her son's mate, but decided not to point out she knew of them. Instead she simply shrugged at his follow up question. "Hasn't really been going at all to be honest. Still puzzling over, someone...My memories are still pretty useless, and I haven't received another apprentice after my last one." her emotional mask was well in place by now, to the point of which she looked nonchalant about everything until she smiled at her son. "And you? How have you been doing?"

Paleheart's eyes flickered as he stared at his mother, did she have short-term memory, because it sounded like it. And with the mention of an old apprentice, he just shrugged and laughed. "Eh, you might get one soon, there's plenty of kits. And as for me, an average life. Except I only eat plants and my social life revolves around blind cats." He said, rather happy to make fun of himself.

Asterheart blinked slowly, as though she'd forgotten who she was talking too. In a tail fact, she was imaging someone from her almost imaginary past in his place. It wasn't that she had short term memory, or amnesia, it was that she'd spent so long trying to forget, that now she had. And she couldn't even recall what she'd wanted to rid herself of in the first place. Surely not her parents. Their names and faces and coats and voices were lost to her like mist in the sun. Shaking her head, she peered at her son more clearly and noticed he did look a little, off..."Why?" she asked suddenly, not really sure what about. Was she asking herself that question, perhaps? She twitched her ears slightly and then her tail tip, before flickering her head again. "Why not eat prey? We are not herbivores, that is what sets us apart from those we hunt."

Paleheart's face grew red as he was asked why he was a vegetarian. His gaze retreated to the ground and he meowed awkwardly, "I... I just find eating meat gross, I'm fine with hunting it, but eating it....." The tom would cover his embarrassment with his tail, but his stub of a tail didn't work.

Aster blinked. Then shook her head, before nodding thoughtfully. And then tilting it on one side and blinking again rather hazily.
It was though she were in this massive conversation. Shaking her head disagreeable, nodding her consent. And tilting her head in, confusion? Ever since she'd put a name and face to her missing father. A whole identity to him, in fact. She hadn't really been, there...Flickering her ears, the tabby warrior glanced at her son as though she'd just noticed he was there. "Have you met my father yet? No, you havent" she shook her head, answering the question herself as she sunk back down into her nest and blinked slowly, and though the sun had set and the moon risen throughout their short conversation. Finding her father had clearly shocked her more than she was letting on, as now she was almost a blank slate in comparison to her old fiery self. And she was still resonably young as it was, so it clearly wasn't age and memory loss. She seemed almost lost, and sick. Gone with the wind even.

Paleheart felt slightly concerned when Asterheart was acting rather tired and off. He opened his mouth to reply to his mothers question but stopped when she answered herself. He sighed and stared at his paws. "Well, no. Have you? Is he nice?" He asked awkwardly.

Aster blinked confusedly. "I'm not sure. I think he's nice, but..." she twitched her ears. She hadn't really taken this into consideration any of the times she met him. The first time she'd been the merest of apprentice's, falling from a tree into the river only to be saved by the Iceclan tabby. He'd practically terrified her, even though she had little reason to be scared of him other than her flickering memories. He was sort of the reason they'd started affecting her. Before, it was just a blank void and she hadn't cared much of it. But now..."I believe he is alright, though I only found him to be my father last time we met." She gazed up at her son, corners of her mouth turning to an uplifting smile. "You would have at least heard of him, he is of the clan after all. Or a clan, to be precise" She blinked slowly once more, her eyes closing for so long in the pause that it seemed she'd even drifted off before she opened them again and offered a nod. "I think he'll be someone for you to look up to, at least" she told her son, still unsure as to wheather she should break it to him who that cat was or not.

It was now Paleheart's turn to look confused. Was his grandfather popular among that clans, probably since he should of heard of his name. Paleheart just shrugged and laughed, "OK, and who is he, if I have the right to ask?" He meowed casually.

Aster twitched her ears and sighed. Might as well give her son a name to keep in mind. "Robinstar. Of Iceclan. Hence why you might have heard of him." she doesn't say much more. There's little more she could say. Her emotional mask almost matches that of her father, and in a way, you could almost see the resemblance.

Paleheart.. Didn't really react. Sure, he flinched for a second or two, but he came back to reality quick. Paleheart didn't really mind that he was related to Robinstar, since he already got over bloodlines in his family. And Asterheart was right earlier about someone he could look up too. "Cool." He meowed, smiling.
