Vixenleap was actually feeling lonely, only having Thorn to talk to lately. Speaking of the devil, where was the voice? Vixenleap had not heard one peep in days, she wasn't complaining or anything, but still.
Feeling like she had to do something, Vixenleap rose to her paws and limped towards the exit of camp, deciding that hunting could take her mind off things. She heard the sound of a cat behind her and she turned slowly around. "Hello?" She meowed casually.

"Hiiii~! Sweetpaw's cheery voice squeaked to the stranger. The migit cat was peering up at the warrior with wide, happy blue eyes and rapid wagging of her tail. "I've never met you before! I'm Sweetpaw--hii! I'm almost a warrior! Aren't you a warrior? What's your name! Where are you going? Can I join you?" She was rambling with a high-pitched voice, chattering as fast as a chickadee.

Vixenleap backed up a bit as she was greeted with an army of questions. She chuckled to herself, "Hi. Yes, I am, my name is Vixenleap." She meowed, enjoying the young cats hyper nature. She then flinched slightly at the name 'Sweetpaw'. The name was her friend Roxanne's clan name, and they both shared the eagerness. "Erm.. Sure, you can come." She meowed.

My eyes widened in awe. "Vixenleap! That's a cool name!"I purred, offering a wide and toothy smile. It really was a cool name, because vixens were foxes... and female... and she was a female! And foxes leap, and I bet that she can leap too! The name was perfect! "Oh, and thank you! I've been sooooo bored in the apprentices den! I'm nearly a warrior--oh, did I already say that? Whoops! Anyway, I'm just really lonely. My friend is gone, and he was really cool so I'm sad about that, and then I've been thinking about Mama and everyone else who I love, and... well... hey, why did you flinch at my name?"

Vixenleap, again, backed up. How did this kid keep so much energy? She nodded hesitantly and smiled weakly, "Ah, nice. And don't worry, you have the same name as one of my old friends, and the same energy." She explained, hitting the apprentice lightly with her tail.
"Come on, let's go."

"Ooooh, really?" I squeaked happily, bouncing on my paws. An old friend--that meant someone missing like my old friends, right? That was a sad that... but at least Vixenleap wasn't missing! "Okay, okay! Let's go!" I chirped, feeling just about ready to launch away and into the bushes. But I waited on jumpy paws for Vixenleap to lead. Showing what little maturity I had as I approached warriorhood.
