It was the night time, and Nightpaw was surprised by how many stars were in the sky. He was stargazing just outside the camp, around the wall and closer to the warriors den, yet far enough not to be scented or heard. He was on his back with his paws pressed against his chest for lingering warmth, as the darkness offered a slight chill, with his blue and green eyes peered up through a break in the trees. The whole sky was shimmering with stars. The beauty of CloudClan made him smile. If I believed in CloudClan, he added to himself sadly. His curiosity to search for knowledge led him to doubt the starry ancestors above. He hadn't told anyone just yet, it wasn't something you openly commented on. But it saddened him to think he couldn't share in the same belief as his Clanmates. It just wasn't there, not matter how much he tried to look for signs, the science part of his mind would write it off as something logical. And he believed logic more than magic.
CRACK! the sound made him jump and swivel his head behind him, just seeing the shadow of a cat through the trees. "Oh. I thought I was alone." he meowed to the stranger.
