[Paleheart]

Paleheart was, uh, tired. He was busy with border patrols lately, and worked himself over his limit. The tom had set himself in the middle of camp, eating his usual berries and such.

The small tom lifted his head away from his meal to see another blonde cat and he waved his paw up in the air. "Hi!" He shouted happily.

(Beechroot)

Beechroot was observing his clan-mate in confusion. What..was he eating? The skinny golden tabby padded over to Paleheart. He squinted his eyes. "Erm.. hello." He knew they were berries, but how did Paleheart know if they weren't poisonous? "What are you eating?"

[Paleheart]

Paleheart glanced up at the tom, nodding a greeting. "Berries." He meowed, moving his paw away from the blue berries. He grew slightly red with embarrassment, he knew he was strange, and he was showing that on a silver platter. "Um..."

[Beechroot]

Beechroot padded over to Paleheart's side and stared at the berries. "How do you know if they're safe to eat?" He tilted his head. "Did you ask Liongrowl?" The tom had never even went near the medicine cat den for any kind of help, especially after his incident with Rainspark. "I'm....interested."

[Paleheart]

"Well.. Never visited the medicine cat den in my life, so... I just guess, I know what Deathberries are, so that rules out some bushes in the territory, so I eat the ones that aren't those, I guess, does that make sense?" Paleheart rambled, looking at the ground. The tom didn't really know what he was saying, but it was an answer.

[Beechroot]

That sounded a little dangerous to Beechroot. He nodded to the question. The tabby leaned over and touched a berry with his paw. "Would you mind if I had one?" Hopefully these weren't poisonous either. Then Treeclan would have two dead warriors.

[Paleheart]

Paleheart looked at the warrior and pushed some berries towards him. "Help yourself." He meowed, taking another bite of berries. He was sure they weren't poisonous, or else Paleheart would be dead where he stood.

[Beechroot]

Beechroot cautiously took one of the berries into his mouth and chewed. The tangy flavor surprised him, having never tasted something like this ever in his life. The best part about it was the lack of blood and no death. The taste he would have to get used to. Once he swallowed, he blinked at Paleheart. "What...gave you the idea to even eat these?" Beechroot just wanted to see if the other warrior had the same beliefs as him.

[Paleheart]

Paleheart smirked as he saw the surprise on Beechroot's face. He blinked and explained happily, "I don't like meat, makes me sick." The tom then bit into a few of the berries and ate, once Paleheart had gotten over the sweetness, they were fine.
