Crevicefrost had woken up and emerged from the barn. The she-cat had received to new apprentices, Rookpaw and Mousepaw. Today was the day Mousepaw got some training done. "Mousepaw training" she yowled waiting for him to emerge from the barn

Mousekit—no, paw, was already awake. He was surprised that Robinstar had allowed him to climb ranks despite his injury, but he was happy nonetheless. It was strange, how a change of name could bring on such excitement, he thought, but that it did. At the sound of his name, he got slowly to his paws. Over the past two weeks he'd been doing all the excersizes he could, but it didn't seem like they were working very well. He limped toward Crevicefrost, trying to ignore the pain. "Where's Rookpaw?" He inquired when he arrived. He'd assumed they'd be training together. (his legs were crushed during the avalanche so this may be a little hard xD) ● ● ● |

Crevicefrost looked at her apprentice. "We will be training separate I decided that I will train him later. If you want you can have a hunting session together" she meowed. "Follow me" Crevicefrost lead the way into the grassy lands. "What can you observe about your surroundings?"

Mousepaw had run into the other tom once before when they were kits, but he wasn't sure Rookpaw would remember the interaction too well. It wasn't like they were friends—in fact, Mouse didn't really have friends. He shrugged. He knew it would be good for him to get out and meet new people, but he going to push it. He limped after her, trying his best to keep up. The medicine cats had told him to stay off of his feet for a while, but he was determined to become a warrior. He frowned at the question, panting when they stopped. "Well, let's see. We're in a meadow and I can't see much from here." He tried to see over the tops of the grass, but he was rather short. "The sun is hitting the grass right now in a way that makes it look golden and quite pretty," he added, knowing that it probably wasn't an answer she was looking for. "I wonder how that works." He tilted his head curiously. (sorry for the awkward length) ● ● ● |

Crevicefrost smiled. "Good answer. You will make a great warrior one day." She meowed. "There's not much to explore so maybe you would like to hunt a bit" the mackerel brown tabby asked him.

Mousepaw couldn't help the smile that came across his face. "I'd like to think so," he responded, backing away from the stalk of grass. His eyes lingered on the golden sunlight a moment before flickering away, stopping on multiple things on the way to Crevicefrost. Beetles, ladybugs, the grass moving in the wind, trees, and birds in the sky. It took a moment for his attention to be fully focused on the warrior, but when she mentioned hunting he nodded eagerly. He wanted to be the best warrior possible. However, when he began walking he remembered his leg and, though he didn't want to admit it, he doubted it would be easy to hunt with it. He glanced at his mentor dubiously.

Crevicefrost sniffed the air for any scent of prey. Her eyes locked on a mouse not that far away. "You can try to catch that mouse over there. I will be watching your progress." She meowed. Crevicefrost waited for Mousepaw to start to stalk the small mouse.
