[Dreamwish]

Dreamwish padded along the stream, he fur fluffed up against the wind. She had just been named a warrior the day before the avalanche. It was almost sunset, and the sky was going to be a bloody red or orange soon. Her fur bristled as she scented a cat nearby. Standing up, she said, "Who's there?"

"Just me! I wasn't following you, I swear," Snap-paw informed the warrior, even though he had actually been following her. "Please don't freak out." He recognized her as someone from his own clan, though had no real idea who she was. That made the she-cat interesting, and Snap-paw always enjoyed learning new things.

The brown and white tom crept closer with a bright smile. "Who are you?"

[Dreamwish]

"I'm Dreamwish. Who are you?" Dreamwish said, ultimately curious of who this cat, who was a clanmate by the smell of it, was. She honestly had no idea who the cat was. It might be Snapkit, a kit who she met while she was a kit. And then Tanglekit interupted them while they were playing with that feather. (Yup, I remember that thread.)

Dreamwish....Dreamwish. The name sounded kind of familiar, or at least the 'Dream' part. But surely this couldn't be the same Dream he'd played with moons ago? Snap-paw's brow furrowed as he looked the warrior up and down. Nope, there was definitely something familiar about her.

"I've met you before!" He realized with an embarrassed laugh. "I'm Snap-paw!" And Dreamwish was already a warrior, he couldn't believe it. His own warrior ceremony seemed ages away. "How are you, Dreamwish? It's been ages."

"I've been doing good. And you're right, it has been forever!" Dreamwish said. For some reason she had become a warrior before Snap-paw. That's plot convenience for you. She suppressed a purr, knowing that a childhood companion had been fine. 

[Snap-paw]

"I can't believe you're a warrior already," Snap-paw sighed enviously, looking Dreamwish's warriorness up and down. She seemed amazing in comparison to his still-small size, but ah well. He'd surely have to grow some day.

"What are you doing out here, Dreamwish?" The tom finally asked.

"I was just checking out the steam." Dreamwish said. She knew he might be envious because he was older than her when they were kits. She didn't even know how that happened. CloudClan magic? Hopefully Snap-paw found that weird.

"Ohhhh cool," Snap-paw enthused. "I miss all the water and snow in Iceclan. Even the stream here isn't as great." It kind of reminded him of home though, so he understood why Dreamwish might want to stay near it.

Feeling a bit more cheerful now, he approached Dreamwish to sit beside her, happily flicking his tail. "Cloudclan must really hate me," he laughed, serious yet trying not to let it show. "Lost my mentor, lost my home. And now you're a warrior." Then again, what did he expect when he snuck away in dreams every night to train in the Darkpool with his brother, Llamafuzz and Woollyfoot.

"Yeah, I also miss all the water in IceClan. But the snow will melt eventually." Dreamwish said. She honestly felt bad for him. She had the misforture of having to have three mentors, the last one being Crevicefrost. But his mentor had been killed.

Snap-paw hummed thoughtfully. "I hope it melts soon," he mused hopefully, shaking his head. "How long do you think it will take?" Really it could have happened already, how would they know?

Not really liking the somber topic he leaned over and poked Dreamwish in the side cheekily. "Want to sneak back into Iceclan to see how much snow is left?"

"Aren't there patrols for that?" Dreamwish said. There were patrols specifically for checking the progress of the snow melting. Couldn't he join one of those patrols? Why did he want to see the progress anyway? Was he trying to lead her there on purpose?

Snap-paw snorted, assuming Dreamwish was joking. When she seemed quite serious he sighed in defeat. "Well yeah, but with a patrol you can't have any real fun," he informed her, as if it were obvious. Apparently though he had to admit it wasn't going to happen, and sighed in defeat. "If you don't want to go that's cool, I'll just go later once my parents are. Adventures are just more fun with people, you know?"

"Why do you even want to go look at all of the snow anyways?" Dreamwish said, a slight tone of mischief in her voice. She slightly wanted to go to the snow field, but wouldn't there be twolegs or something?

"I miss it." He answered honestly with a shrug. "Besides, don't you just love adventures!?" He hadn't had the chance to go on a grand adventure for ages. "I went all the way to Treeclan the other day, you know. That was amazing!" And he'd even met Buzzardpaw, so it hadn't been completely lonely either. Still, he preferred the company of his own clan.
