@archangelic Crowkit paced about at the edge of the nursery, finding amusement in chasing his own shadow. He had spent most of the day napping and now the sun would be setting soon but he was filled with energy. After a few more minutes of chasing his own shadow the tom-kit became bored and slowed to a halt. He looked around, hoping to find a plaything to entertain himself with--maybe a mossball or a stray leaf that had been blown into the nursery.
His eyes settled on a nearby kit. He didn't usually play with others, seeing as he wasn't the best at approaching them, but speaking to the tom-kit seemed like a better option than pacing about on his own. Warily, Crowkit approached the stranger. "Hello," he mewed softly, but loud enough for the other kitten to hear, "my names Crowkit, do you wanna play?"

Goldenkit's attention had been caught by another kit running around in....
Well, not really a circle but more like a really lump ellipse. Upon further inspection and squinting his golden eyes, he saw the other kit was chasing their shadow. Huh. Supposed that was one way to entertain yourself, Goldenkit thought to himself. In general, Goldenkit himself preferred the company of others. Being alone... Just didn't appeal to him very much.
Then the kit stopped and seemed to lock eyes on Goldenkit. The light furred tom cocked his head as the other kit seemed almost hesitant in his approach. He spoke up quietly. He offered his name and an offer.
A cocky grin made it's way onto his face. "Well, nice to meetcha Crowkit. Name's Goldenkit. And, sure! Why not?"

Crowkit relaxed when he got a positive reaction from the kitten he had approached. His ears perked up and his tail, which had been previously curled around his back leg, unfurled and swayed in a happy, more relaxed, manner.
"Awesome," the tom-kit meowed brightly while bouncing lightly on his paws. He flicked his fluffy tail in a questioning manner and quirked his head softly to the side, "what game would you like to play? I don't really know all that many. Well, I mean, I don't know all that many that can be played with more than one person," he grinned sheepishly and flicked his ears in an apologetic manner, "although if you need me too I could probably think up a few. Probably." Crowkit ended his own little rant somewhat bashfully.

Goldenkit's grin widened just a smidge, seeing Crowkit loosen up.
Thank Cloudclan! And here Goldenkit was thinking that this guy was gonna be close to inaudible the whole time! That would've been a bit of a bore to be perfectly honest. Goldenkit wasn't one who was good with things going nice and slow and quiet.
Then Crowkit seemed to have an almost nervous, but positive energy to him as he began to rant about games and which one to play. Huh. Goldenkit's ear flicked. Seemed this guy seemed to play alone usually, if he mostly knew games you played by yourself. Sounded... Lonely. Eck. Not exactly the golden furred tom's piece of prey.
He visibly shrugged and bounded so he was standing side by side with Crowkit, possibly with less than comfortable amounts of space between the two. Dark and light fur brushed against each other. "C'mon, Feathers.... Don't know many games myself, but what's to say we can't just make one up?"

Crowkit stiffened slightly when his new companion closed the distance between them. He was quick to relax himself, not wanting to seem startled, but his ears still fluttered bashfully when Goldenkit's fur brushed against his own smokey-black coat. He wasn't used to being so close to other cats, except maybe his mother, Hornetstripe, and even then he wasn't with her that often.
The young tom's whiskers twitched at the nickname the other kitten had given him, although it was not unwelcome. In fact, the fur on his chest fluffed up slightly--his amber eyes glittering happily. "Making up a game sounds like fun," Crowkit mewed brightly, "what kind of games do you like?" he asked, figuring this would be a good place to start if they were planning on making up their own game.

Goldenkit was amused by Crowkit's response.
They seemed to become as stiff as a board, with their ears flopping all over the place. Kinda adorable if Goldenkit really thought about it. Heh. Cute. He figured Crowkit wasn't all that used to being close to others. Well! At least Goldenkit was here now to completely invade his personal space!
Goldenkit's cocky grin slipped onto his face, seeing Crowkit light up at hearing the nickname he was given! Hah! That was totally brownie points for him! This was going to turn out to be a great relationship! "Oh.... I don't know... Pretty flexible myself.... What about you, Feathers?" In full honesty, Goldenkit was indeed pretty much up for anything.

Crowkit tipped his head to the side as he thought, "I like games that involve running," he stated, wondering if that would be too general of a category. Being trapped in camp all day made the young tom's muscled ache, and running was a fun way to let off energy, which was why he found it so enjoyable. He was also a fan of climbing, but he decided not to bring that up because he often got told off for it and he didn't want to get Goldenkit into any trouble.
"Oh, and the, um, "Warriors" game that I've seen other kits play looked like it'd be fun," he remembered seeing a few others kittens play it once or twice, "I've never played it myself though."

Seemed like Crowkit liked doing things that got the blood pumping!
Goldenkit figured it made sense, what with the guy pacing around chasing his shadow earlier. Goldenkit was going to respond when Crowkit added to his response, about some warriors game he saw other kits playing.
His ears perked up. He knew of the game. He'd watched other kits play. Honestly, it seemed to consist of mainly rough and tumble playfighting. Goldenkit wasn't sure he'd like it, but then again there was that saying 'don't knock it 'till you try it'. The light furred tom figured that phrase applied here. Well! He and Crowkit would have to find out together how fun exactly the game was! "Well then Feathers, let's go!" Without warning, Goldenkit tackled the dark furred tom.

Crowkit let out a muffled squeak as Goldenkit tackled him, his amber eyes widening for second before narrowing in competitive amusement. He braced himself as he fell into the moss-covered floor of the nursery with a soft "umph". He tucked his limbs against his stomach and rolled away as quick as he could. Once he was a little less than a tail-length away he stopped and bounced onto his paws, his tail lashing playfully as he faced Goldenkit.
The tom-kit flicked his left ear, wondering what he should do next. Deciding not to wait around for his opponent to make the next move, Crowkit charged towards the other kitten with an excited grin on his face, planning to swerve to his right at the last moment in an attempt to throw Goldenkit off then wing it from there.

Goldenkit felt satisfaction pulse through him as he successfully crashed into Crowkit.
Goldenkit tumbled a bit with Crowkit, before the darker furred kit landed a bit further away into a patch of moss. Goldenkit shook himself out as he got back on his paws, having hit the ground from the less than graceful attack. While he was recovering from barreling into another body which was rather solid, Crowkit was rolling away as he bounced onto his paws.
Goldenkit's golden eyes glittered, matching his playmate's playfulness.
After a brief moment of hesitation, Crowkit charged at Goldenkit. He tried to sidestep, but unfortunately Crowkit also swerved right into where Goldenkit moved and the darker furred kitten ended up knocking over Goldenkit onto his back.
"Oi..." He groaned. He'd already smacked twice rather hard into a very solid mass, kit or not! That sort of thing hurt! And it wasn't like he was made of titanium!

Crowkit gasped as he crashed into Goldenkit. He tumbled forward, still moving involuntarily due to all the momentum he had built up. "Mission abort," he whispered under his breath as he finally landed, face first, into the mossy floor of the nursery, "plan failed." The tom-kit dragged himself onto his paws and shook moss-flakes from his pelt.
He remained unscathed, thankfully, and he quickly turned on his heels to make sure Goldenkit was okay as well. "You okay?" Crowkit asked, trying not to sound overly concerned; he knew it was unlikely that the other tom-kit would've gotten seriously injured, but he was still worried nonetheless.

Goldenkit huffed, having the wind knocked out of him.
He managed to roll onto his belly. "Mission command... Confirmed...." He huffed again. "Affirmative.... Oi..." With that his face met the nursery floor. He registered the smacking noise that was Crowkit falling onto his face.
Goldenkit adjusted his head, it being held up by the combined forces of his chin and the floor as his eyes moved over to Crowkit. He managed a cocky grin somehow, even though he was kinda tired. It seemed Crowkit was trying to shake out the moss that had made its way into his fur.
He tried to nod his head, although it was awkward considering his posiiton. "Eh.... Don't worry, Feathers. I'm... alright... Hoo...." He let out a final breath until his face met the ground again.

Crowkit grinned, glad the other tom-kit was okay. Sighing, he dropped tiredly to the ground and rolled over to Goldenkit, although when he was done with his rolling he kept muscles alert--ready to bounce away if Goldenkit sprung another attack on him.
"That was fun, buuuuuttt," he drawled out that last word, "maybe we should play something else now? Or talk. Talking's cool," the black-furred tom-kit rested his head between his paws as he looked at Goldenkit, "if you wan't, that is," he spoke the next bit in a playfully sarcastic, but still truthful, tone, "I'm just worried that if I face-plant into the floor anymore I might permanently damage my gorgeous face."

Goldenkit's breathing finally returned to normal as Crowkit flopped to the ground and rolled over.
He seemed a bit tense though. Probably not sure if the game was over. He flashed the darker furred kitten a grin. Seemed Crowkit was done with all the rough and tumble. To be fair, so was Goldenkit. It was more tiring than he thought it'd be! That'd probably change in training, though. Man! He hoped his future mentor wasn't a slave driver.
"Sure you wanna talk?" He cocked an eyebrow. "It seems I've got a bit of a mouth on me." He chuckled at Crowkit's last statement. "And that'd just be a tragedy, Beauty Princess." He teased.

"I've noticed" the tom-kit mewed with a soft smirk, rolling onto his paws and shifting his posture so that he looked as "regal" as he could manage. "Right you are, peasant," Crowkit meowed, forcing his voice to sound high-pitched and as feminine as he could make it. He tapped Goldenkit's nose with his tail-tip to punctuate his words then broke to a fit of giggling.
