Wolf in the Ice (P)

Icepaw sat in the corner of the farm with her tail neatly wrapped around her paws. While doing this she sat cleaning her fur so it was spotless, her pelt always had to be perfect. Finally she looked down at her cheat fur and saw it was perfectly white. Perfect! She thought with a smile as she toke a glace around the camp. Every cat was up to something today, from either hunting to lounging around, everyone had a activity for the day. She had hoped she'd be chosen for a patrol but she didn't, other cats were gather and heading towards the entrance. Well at least I can enjoy my newleaf day. She thought happily.

Suddenly a scent hit her scent gland and before she knew it, she was crouched in a battle stance. She might of known the scent, but she wasn't sure. Who are you? She growled looking everywhere. She really hoped she didn't know the cat, she'd feel horrible if she did.

Wolfbark was settled near the back of the farm, ripping into a mouse. He had just returned from a hunting trip, and at the rate that the prey heap was decreasing, he figured he'd have to go out again later. Finishing up his meal, he buried the remains and gave his fur a quick wash. He wasn't the cleanest of eaters.

Standing up, the warrior started heading for the exit. He passed a corner, stopping in his tracks once he heard a low growl. A little confused, he looked around, quickly spotting Icepaw. 'In a... Battle stance?' He shrugged it off. Maybe she was just practicing. Wolfbark grinned and trotted over. "Hey, Icepaw. You okay?"

Icepaw shot up quickly when she heard her name and turned to see her friend, Wolfbark. Oh! Sorry Wolfbark, I thought you were a loner. She meowed looking to see her friend who is now a warrior and a lot taller then her. I'm fine just on the edge of my paws still here. The scents get to me sometimes. She shrugged and she sat down wrapping her tail back around her paws. 

Wolfbark seemed to look happy being a warrior. Robinstar did choose a good name. She was happy about that. Hows the warrior life? She asked him curiously.

He laughed a little and padded closer, taking a seat next to her. "Yeah. It's strange, living with all of these loners around." He said, eyes scanning across the clan before returning to Icepaw. He shrugged at the question, gaze traveling to his paws.

"It's alright. I get to sleep near the den exit again, so that sort of sucks." He said jokingly, followed by a sigh. Wolfbark swept his tail toward Icepaw, letting it brush against her own. "I wish you were in there with me."

Icepaw smiled as Wolfbark toke a seat next to her and nodded to his comnent. It was confusing to have all sorts of familier and new scents roaming around her scent glands. She disliked having to sniff twice or multiple times to be able to identify the owner of that scent. She then found herself letting out a luagh as he talked about still sleeping near the entrace of the den. Just like me. She thought as she toke a side glace at the apprentice den able to visualize her nest. 

She looked up to Wolfbark. I wish I was in the warriors den too. She sighed blushing softly as his tail brushed against her own.

"Are you nearing your assessment?" He asked, seeing that she looked like a warrior. 'She must be the oldest apprentice in the den!' He turned to look at her, quickly noticing her blush. He blinked. 'Did I do something..?' His eyes went down to their tails, and he quickly brought his close to his paws. He ears felt hot. "S-Sorry, Icepaw..." 'I don't want to make her uncomfortable!' Wolfbark thought, hoping she didn't think he was a creep.

[Icelily]

Icepaw nodded to Wolfbark when he mentioned her assesment. Yea, I should be on my assesment any day now. She said in a somewhat hopeful tone of voice. She saw him look down at their tails and then saw him quickly remove his tail and look down. Your fine, Wolfbark. I blushed because I was happy. She giggled and with out thinking going up to his cheek and giving it a quick lick. Doesn't he realize I do like him, and that I think he feels the same way? He didn't make me feel weird, he made me happy.

He blinked when she started giggling. 'It's because she's happy?' He opened his mouth to speak, but a lick to the cheek quickly shut him up. Wolfbark's eyes widened, and he could feel his face getting hot with embarrassment. "Icepaw!" He exclaimed, a small smile on his face. He looked away, laughing a little. "Thanks."

She laughed even more when his eyes widened and his face got hot. She smiled when he exclaimed her name with a small smile on his face until he looked away laughing. She once again smiled closing her eyes as she filled with laughter. "I had to shut you up somehow!" She meowed in laughter and then dipped her head. "Your welcome."

Wolfbark couldn't believe what had just happened. His face felt like it was tingling. He looked over at Icepaw, purring at the sight of her being so happy. "You're cute." His voice was mixed with laughter. 'I need to stop.'

[Icelily]

Icepaw smiled up to him at the complement. "Thank you. Your not to bad yourself." She meowed kindly with a sweet smile on her face. 'Hes more than cute, mousebrain! He might like you don't blow it!' She thought quickly to herself.

"Thanks." He gave a sheepish grin and looked the other way. He didn't know what to say or do, and feared making the situation awkward. 'Oh, I hope she likes me. I'm sure she can tell that I like her.' Wolfbark shook his head to himself, getting rid of the thought. Icepaw was probably a mind reader and might freak out upon hearing that.

She saw him look sideways and gave him a look of confusion. Was he thinking or embarressed. "No problem." She meowed kindly smiling her face feeling hot now and feeling herself nervous. 'If i were a warrior i could tell him, hed feel more comfortable telling me..' She thought.

"No problem." Wolfbark didn't say anything to that, as he was trying to think of something to say. 'Maybe... We could play a game.' He turned back to Icepaw, wondering if she would be open to the idea. "You wanna play truth or dare?"

Icepaw brightened to the idea immediatly and nodded looking over to him. "I love truth or dare!" She meowed happily. This had to be her favorite game, her first one would be a truth because why not. "You ask me first." She meowed then smiling wonderimg what was in store.
