Pantherkit's ears began to fold back when Lilykit rambled and cried. Her eyes widened, a little afraid of how much Lilykit was freaking out. "Um..." She started backing away when her clanmate became louder and louder.

'Stop it! Just stop it!' Her mind was spinning with thoughts as she figured out what to say. "Nothing." She answered weakly, unsure if Lilykit had heard her. She was overwhelmed with all of this and wanted it to end.

Lilykit had frozen, mortified by her near panic attack. Blinking rapidly, the she-cat felt herself flush embarrassedly and scuttled backwards in an attempt to give Pantherkit more room. At the other she-cat's weak answer, Lily's ears flattened to the skull.

" Sorry. " she whispered, curling her tail around her lower legs and backing away slightly. Inwardly, her heart tore in two. She was just starting to be friends with someone too! Then she had to go and be a jerk to Pantherkit. Stifling her own whimper, Lilykit wanted to just melt into the background.

Without a word, Lilykit shot off towards the nursery to hide in the darkest corner so she could mentally torture herself over the fact that she was a jerk to her friend.

'Why is she sorry?' Lilykit hadn't done anything wrong. Confused, Pantherkit watched as the kitten bounded back to the nursery. 'Is she okay...?'

Not wanting to disturb her, Pantherkit remained outside. She walked laps around the camp, taking everything in. She smiled politely at the cats she passed, and every now and then she would sprint off in a run. This lasted most of the day, and soon enough she caught herself yawning. 'I should probably go back. It's getting late.' Her mind went back to Lilykit, and her belly rumbled. She was hungry again, and assumed that Lilykit would be, too.

The tiny RockClanner padded up to the prey heap, grabbing what looked and smelled like a fish. 'She said she liked fish, right?' She hoped so. Tightening her grip and lifting her head, she padded back to the nursery and trotted inside. She looked around, soon spotting her friend.

Pantherkit cautiously walked closer, placing the fish down when she was less than a tail-length away. She moved up next to her, attempting to push her fur into Lilykit's. She dragged the fish closer with an outstretched claw. "Are you hungry?"

After awhile of mentally berating herself, Lilykit felt herself getting drowsy. Shaking off the sleepy feeling, Lilykit yawned and squinted her eyes at the other kits in the den. After blinking for the tenth time, Lilykit felt herself be drawn into a light sleep. The dark gray she-cat had always been a deep sleeper. Slowly, her breathing got deeper and she was asleep.

The feeling of fur being pressed into her back had Lilykit let out a muffled squeak of drowsy complaint. For a moment, Lilykit didn't recognize the voice. Until she caught what the cat had said. " Nn? " Tilting her head back, Lilykit stifled a yawn and she met the gray gaze of Pantherkit from that morning. What-

Oh dear. However, what she said made her stomach growl loudly. Blinking drowsily at Pantherkit, Lilykit shifted slightly to allow space for Pantherkit to lie down. " ..Sure. " the she-cat said hesitantly.

It seemed that she had woken her up. 'Oops.' She gave her a soft nudge, followed by a light purr. "You can take the first bite. I probably won't know how." She laughed, recalling the feather taste in her mouth.

Pantherkit stretched out some more when Lilykit made room. She stifled a yawn, then eyed the fish carefully. It looked weird, its mouth hanging open and all. 'But I guess it's food.' She shifted into a more comfortable position as she waited for Lilykit to take a piece.

With a rather large yawn, Lilykit lowered her head to the fish to nuzzle it slightly. Grasping a few scales between her teeth, the kit tore a side of the fish off with a riiiip! Blinking down at the fish and trying to stifle another yawn, Lilykit hesitated.

" At least I think that's how you eat it. " Lilykit glanced at Pantherkit. " First time I ate a fish, I ended up having to do that. " she added sheepishly. Grasping a small amount of the flesh inside, she settled down next to Pantherkit and started to chew quietly.

Pantherkit copied her, quickly swallowing. She didn't like that at all. Trying not to look disgusted, she took another bite and tried to ignore the feeling of wanting to spit it out. 'How can she like this?' She shrugged to herself. 'I guess everyone's different.'

Pushing the rest to Lilykit, she yawned once more and curled up into a ball. "You have the rest. I'm sleepy.' Her voice was quiet, and she slowly started to drift off.

Lilykit glanced at Pantherkit, before shrugging and taking another mouthful of the fish. Shifting slightly, Lilykit let herself lean lightly into Pantherkit. In a few rapid bites, the rest of the fish was demolished. There wasn't really anything flowing through Lily. She was just.. tired.

Risking another glance at Pantherkit, she let out a soft sigh and curled up next to her friend with a contented snuffle. Sneezing briefly, she yawned and felt herself slowly doze off into a deep sleep.
