Territory tour & training// -Raccoonpaw and Pantherpaw

"Monsters are sticky twoleg toys that could crush an apprentice in a second." Sandstone meowed her nose wrinkling in disgust as a monster zoomed by. "Dont go near this place until you are warriors, this place is dangeroud even for me." She finished and turned leading them to the training area. "Now we are going to do training."

Raccoonpaws eyes lit up with excitement. "yay!!" He meowed happily.

"First we will do hunting training. Both of you, show me a hunter crouch. You might have seen it while you were kits." She meowed to them both knowing that if they didnt know the hunters crouch she could teach them. "It's fine if you don't know how." She added.

Raccoonpaw knew he instantly crouched his tail how ever swayed fast with excitement.

Pantherpaw watched Raccoonpaw crouch down, a little confused. She'd never seen a hunter's crouch, and thought that his stance was weird looking. She gazed up at her mentor. "Could you teach me?"

[Sandstone]

"Of course." Sandstone meowed kindly to Pantherpaw and then directed her gaze to Raccoonpaw. "Raccoonpaw, your stance is good but you need to keep your tail still. Here." She meowed lowering herself into a hunters crouch and had her hauches balanced her tail barely touching the ground. "That is the hunters crouch." She meowed rasing up to a normal stance.

Raccoonpaw nodded and kept still.

Pantherpaw copied her mentor, though sneezed as some grass brushed against her face. The sneeze made her lose her balance, and she fell over. "Oops!" She quickly scurried to her paws, then attempted to do it again. It looked about right, though she was too far from the ground.

[Sandstone]

"Good job both of you. And don't be discouraged if you mess up, you will have plenty of time to practice it." She meowed kindly to both of them thinking of the next part. She remembered quickly and lowered her self back in a hunter crouch. "Next since you both know how to stalk or sneak up on something, your going to paractice on prey. You both will work as a team to catch the prey before I call you both back." She meowed talking about the hunting like assesment. Though they would take their warrior aassessment apart they could use practice working as a team. "You both will hunt by the Treeclan border. And remember, I'll be watching in the shadows."

"yha lets go! I see something over there!" Raccoonpaw smiled bounding away.

Pantherpaw nodded quickly once her mentor finished. She turned to look for prey, sighing as Raccoonpaw bounded off. How had he found something already?

Sniffing the air, she caught the faint scent of a lizard. She followed her nose, heading in the opposite direction of Raccoonpaw.

Raccoon paw had reached the rabbit he flung himself on top of it which resulted in a scratch on raccoonpaws face and the rabbit escaping.

[Sandstone]

Sandstone watched as they split up and go after diffrent prey. Watching Pantherpaw go after a lizard and Raccoonpaw go after a rabbit. The rabbit scratched Raccoonpaw making her frown in concern. She wanted to check on him and did. "You okay Raccoonpaw?" She asked.

"yhea but I can't chase it or tackle it" he sighed.

Soon the lizard was in view. Grinning, the apprentice stealthily made her way forward. Eventually she was within a warrior's tail-length. Paws tingling in excitement, she didn't realize that her tail was lashing around behind her. It hit a few reeds, which startled the lizard. She sped off into a chase.

It wasn't a clean catch, but she caught it nonetheless. Purring loudly, she picked it up and skipped back to Sandstone. She dropped it at her paws. "Hey, take a look-" She stopped, noticing Raccoonpaw's injury. Pantherpaw gasped and leaned close. "Are you okay?" She squeaked, not realizing that Sandstone had already asked.
