Hailspirit poked her head in the apprentices' den and sniffed the air, trying to detect Silentpaw's scent. "Sli? It's time to get up." She said softly, backing out and taking a seat. She wasn't going to treat Silentpaw like her other apprentices. Sli was her friend, and she would treat her as one. 'I think this will be fun.'

Silentpaw had been awake for a while, so when Hailspirit came to tell her about training, she ran right out. "Hey Auroua!" She smiled with actual emotion. She hadn't seen her friend lately, so the apprentice was happy Hailspirit was her new mentor.

Hailspirit stood up when Silentpaw emerged, a friendly smile on her face. "Good morning." She started walking toward the exit, assuming that her friend was following. "I guess we can begin by you telling me what you already know, and we can go from there."

Silentpaw nodded to Hailspirit, watching as she started walking to the exit of camp. The apprentice followed quickly. "Well, I have explored the territories and learned a few hunting skills by myself, not pretty good, though." She sighed, blaming her lack of training to her asthma aka worst thing alive.

Hailspirit nodded. "So no battle? Looks like we'll start there." She said, leading the way to a small clearing. She hadn't practiced battle training with any of her apprentices yet, so this would be interesting. She turned toward Silentpaw's scent once she was a few pawsteps into the clearing. "Come and attack me. Even if you don't know any moves, just let your instinct kick in."

Silentpaw nodded at her mentor and followed quickly. Battle training should be easy, right? Hailspirit told the apprentice to attack her, she flinched back. What if she hurt her friend? She sighed and let instinct take over, she ran and leapt at her mentor, careful to keep her claws sheathed.

Hailspirit slid to the side, having anticipated her leap. She spun around and faced Silentpaw's scent again. She raced forward, swiping a paw close to the ground and trying to trip up her paws.

Silentpaws paws hit the ground, having to have missed Hailspirit. She shook a bit, trying not to fall from the leap. As soon as the black apprentice regained balence, she was almost tripped. Silentpaw jumped back and launched herself forwards.

Hailspirit tumbled backwards as Silentpaw leaped onto her. She rolled around for a bit, then attempted to gently kick the apprentice away. She aimed her back paws at the she-cat's underbelly, hoping it would do something.

Silentpaw felt a tiny bit of triumph as she leapt onto Hailspirit. But that feeling was soon taken as she fell off and was kicked in the stomach. It was light, of course, but it still made the she-cat wheeze. She stopped and stood in place, trying to catch her breath.

Hailspirit listened to the panting feline with concern. 'Did I kick her off too hard?' A little worried, she hopped to her paws and tried to sniff Silentpaw's fur. "Are you okay?"

Silentpaw liooked up at her mentor, her eyes dull. "Y-Yeah, just a kick in the stomach." She lied, her voice barely audible. How could she mention her asthma now, in the middle of training? "Can we start again once I start breathing normally?"

Hailspirit frowned. She knew she hadn't kicked too hard, so she didn't really think it could have been that. "Do you want me to fetch Anemonemist? I don't want to train if you're not feeling well."

Silentpaw widened her eyes for a split second before replying, "No, it's okay, I'll stop by later, I know what it is, it's not important." She said quickly. She didn't want to stop training, she was enjoying it so far, plus it might hurt her friend's feelings if she wanted to leave.

"Then what is it? Is there something wrong with your stomach? Do you have trouble breathing?" 'Poor thing... I probably should've asked if she had a medical condition or something.' Hailspirit sighed. "You don't have to tell me... But it would help a lot, and we could find a way to work around it."
