Chirping crickets and growling leopards - (P)

[Leopardheart]

Leopardheart made her way out of the warriors den, amber eyes scanning the camp. The young toretoiseshell walked towards the fresh kill pile before choosing a nice plump robin to eat. Hopefully everyone else has eaten. Leopardheart began to munch on her meal. Once she had finished it, the toretoiseshell scanned the camp once more looking for someone she could hopefully talk to. Leopardheart then caught a scent.

"Hello?" The tortoiseshell murmured softly her voice kinda like a whisper. "Anyone here?"

Just a little closer....

Almost there....

Steady now....

The spotted warrior looked around, making Cricketkit freeze up. She was so close! The warrior's tail was only a leap away... but it seemed she had been scented. 'Stupid noses!' the she-kit scoffed. 'I wish only Dewmask was good at smelling things... and me! Then we'd be the coolest cats in TreeClan, and we'd be able to sneak up on anybody!'

Cricketkit smirked, and she lunged forward, claws out to get the stranger's tail. "Haaayaaa!"

[Leopardheart]

Leopardheart felt tiny claws sink into her tail. The tortoiseshell looked over her shoulder to see a tortoiseshell she-kit. "Oh hello there." She murmered before hoping that the she-kit would get off her tail. It did not hurt so much but still, Leopardheart did not enjoyed being poked.

"My name is Leopardheart, who are you?" The tortoiseshell asked.

Cricketkit raised her head, having being discovered, and quickly sheathed her claws. Skipping over to the front of the she-cat, the tortoiseshell laid down. She tossed her head back with a wide smile. "I'm Cricketkit." she introduced, and then gave her head a small tilt. "Leopardheart? That's a nice name. Are you secretly a leopard?"

Leopardheart shook her head.

"Well no..." The tortoiseshell answered, her voice barley more than a whisper. "Your names nice too, by the way." She meowed before curling her tail around her paws. She looked at the kitten. It had been so long since she had talked to anyone. Leopardheart was happy to finally speak to someone again. "Who are your parents." The question just came to the toretoieshell's mind. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

Cricketkit frowned, disappointed that Leopardheart really wasn't a leopard in hiding. But oh well. At the mention of her parents, the tortoiseshell gave her shoulders a light shrug. "My mama is Meadowlark. Though she's a warrior now, and I haven't seen her in a long time." she mewed, and then brightened. "But I know Papa is still alive! He's Duststorm, have you seen him around?"

Leopardheart blinked when she said her father was Duststorm.

Wait I have a half-sister! She thought "Wait.. your father is Duststorm too!" The tortoiseshell meowed cocking her head. "That means we're half sisters." Leopardheart meowed.

Cricketkit's eyes widened. Wait, she had a sister -- other than her missing littermate Morningkit?! "R-really? We're kin?!" she cried, leaping up in her excitement. "I-I have a sibling... that's still around? I thought I was alone... Thicketkit and Morningkit went missing a long, long time ago, so... i-is there anyone else?!"

[Leopardheart]

Leopardheart nodded.

"There's also my brother Foxstrike and my two sisters Fallenpaw and Volekit. My sisters are not around anymore. They disappeared and they are probably not coming back." She murmured

[Cricketpaw]

Foxstrike. Fallenpaw. Volekit.

Cricketkit would make sure to remember those names. "They're all Duststorm's kits, right?" she asked, but then confusion set in her firefly golden eyes. "Wait... whose your mama? It can't be Meadowlark... so...?"

[Leopardheart]

Leopardheart started to worry. My mother was a former loner. What will Cricketkit think of me if she found out that I'm not fully TreeClan. 

"No it's not Meadowlark. My mother's name is Brissa." The tortoishell murmered quietly her amber eyes looking at her paws.

[Cricketpaw]

Cricketkit tilted her head. "Brissa? Like a kittypet name?" she asked softly.

Leopardheart nodded shyly.

"Yeah a kittypet name." Her gaze fixed on her paws, She shifted her paws in embarrassment.

(Yeah I think your right, also mines short too)

Cricketkit smiled then. "Cool. I think Meadowlark was a loner before she joined the Clan." she piped up, completely glossing over the fact Leopardheart's mother was a kittypet easily.

Leopardheart blinked

"She was?" The tortoiseshell spoke. I guess there's a lot of kittypets and loners joining the clans these days.
