I'm glad he's alright, or at least says he is, but I'm not quite convinced. I get to my paws with him, and press my shoulder to his, trying to help him back to the den. I stay quiet as I do this, not sure how to break the heavy silence, and attempt to help him lower himself into the nest. Then I glance around, and crawl into the nest with him, snuggling up next to him and peering at his face with wide fearful eyes. At least I had the excuse to keep an eye on him as, were supposed to share the nest anyway, so I'm just tired too. We both know better than that, but I draw off the tired part, and drift off to sleep as the exhaustion from our prior came washes over me like a wave.
