Scarletkit laughed and shook her head. "I'd rather not. I would get scared and dodge instead of fight, so they'd get real mad, then I'll be in trouble."

Hailspirit sighed. "Maybe you'll get over your fear. Real fighting isn't as scary as you think it'd be." She leaned closer to give her a boop on the nose.

That seemed like an oddly wise thing for a kit to say. "Oh, I see. I wouldn't worry about this now, though. Hopefully you have plenty of time before your first battle."
