Snakepaw blinked in confusion, noticing her smile. He'd never seen her do that before. He looked down, wondering if his fur was messier than usual or something. There had to be something going on that was making her smile. "It's something!" He insisted, squinting at her.

She cuffed his ear with a scowl. Although she wanted to smile at him checking his fur. Which she reminded her self she shouldn't smile at. "would you stop asking!?"

Snakepaw stopped walking. Did she really hear those words that often? She seemed to be really popular, or in his opinion at least. 'Maybe we have more in common than I thought.' He looked back at her. "Don't take it personal. The other cats in this clan are just too soft to deal with cats like us."

she laughed at that although she was fighting back the tears of shame from her family of beautiful calm quiet siblings who were mentally fine and had all their senses. "yeah totally" she grinned in a fake pumped up sorta way.

Snakepaw flashed a grin, a real, genuine one, though it disappeared in a matter of seconds. He looked down at his paws, unsure of what to say. Maybe Hazelpaw wasn't as bad as he'd originally thought. Maybe... he could make his first friend. "Um... Sorry about calling you that name before. Y'know, the one about you not being able to smell..."

"it's okay sorry for making fun of your friend count my mom always says she didn't meet her best friend till she was a warrior" she smiled rubbing her moist eyes dry with her front white paws. She was surprised how nice apologies were. "But none of this means I 'like like' you or anything okay" she said defensively her cheeks red. She was more or less saying this to her self. Foxkit was not right about that gross lovey dovey stuff.

Snakepaw looked away in embarrassment when she mentioned his lack of friends. "It's fine... Just don't bring it up." He was quiet for a few moments, about to speak again until she cut him off. He stared at her in confusion, eyes widening at the sight of how red she was turning. 'Why would she bring that up and blush if she didn't...' He shook his head, cutting off his train of thought. "Okay."
