Uggg, camp is so boring, Flowerpaw thought, flopping onto the dusty floor of the clearing and pouting as he stared at the entrance. He hated being stuck in camp, but he knew that he really wasn't supposed to be sneaking out without the company of another cat. After all, hawks could easily spot a younger cat and carry them off if they were on their own. Stupid hawks. he thought, pulling himself back up into a sitting positions and dusting off his pelt. His green eyes gleamed when he spotted another apprentice, seemingly without something to do as well. Well, looks like I just found my ticket out of here, he thought happily, smiling as he bounced onto his paws and bounded over to the she-cat.
"Hi!" the pale calico chirped brightly, "I'm Flowerpaw! Wanna go hunting? It's so boring in the camp." he pouted a slightly before grinned expectantly at the other apprentice.

Hazelpaw was so bored so she concluded a nap was her best bet. Suddenly a cat spoke up before her about... hunting. "I'm not really up for hunting but I'm up for a walk." She purred.

Flowerpaw grinned. "Perfect! Anything to get out of this stuffy camp," he mewed with a pouty huff before grinning and angling his ears towards the camp entrance, "come on, let's go!" The pale apprentice began slowly padding towards the entrance of the camp, waiting for the she-cat to catch up before picking up his pace.

Hazelpaw bounded after him and smiled " well I'm Hazelpaw nice to meetcha!"she purred in her usual outgoing manner "I love Greenleaf n'all but its been so sticky lately" she sighed.

"Ugg, I know, right?" his thick, fluffy coat made the heat unbearable, "I'll miss the sunny days but I can't wait until leaf-fall! Maybe we'll finally get some snow this year!" he grinned at the thought. Leaf-fall snow was the best, because it was light enough that it didn't make hunting hard, but there was enough snow to play in. Plus, all the white on his coat made it easy for him to blend in with the frozen water.

"I haven't seen snow before have you?" She asked

Flowerpaw nodded vigorously, "Yup!" he stated proudly, "There was still a little bit of snow in the camp when I was really little," he grinned, "the warriors didn't like it when I played in it though, since I was so little and the cold might've gotten me sick" he rolled his eyes. Someone as wonderful as me could never get sick. CloudClan wouldn't allow it.

"cool" she laughed ignoring the toms self absorbed tone.

"What about you?" Flowerpaw asked, "you ever seen snow before?" He tipped his head to the side, questioningly looking at the she-cat.

Flowerpaw's eye lit up, "aww, too bad. I've heard we didn't usually get snow all the way down here, but last leaf-bare was apparently really harsh. Which is bad for hunting I guess, but good for fun! Well, unless you have a short coat, I guess," the pale calico's coat wasn't particularly long, but it was defiantly more weather resistant than most FireClan cats.

"that isn't good for me then" she laughed. She was a short furred cat.

Flowerpaw giggled, "oh well, maybe you're coat will get thicker once it gets closer to leaf-bare?" the pale calico grinned, then bounced a bit when an idea popped into his head. "Oh! How about we make our own snow!" he said brightly, bobbed tail twitching.

"Come on, follow me and I'll show you!" Flowerpaw trotted towards one of the corners of the camp, hoping for Hazelpaw to follow since he couldn't beckon her with his stubby tail. He stopped at the only tree in the camp. It was small and dry due to the arid FireClan climate, but it still had leaves, most of which had fallen off and collected at the base.
