Ruby sat on her own, grooming her white pelt as though her eyes weren't glistening with fake tears. She had summoned them in a previous conversation, but they  weren't real. She rubbed her paw across her eyes nonclolantly. Teary eyes always made her feel sleepy. She went back to grooming herself, looking up as she heard another cat, stormy grey eyes wide an innocent. "Hello." the loner said to the other cat.

"You alright?" Ghost asked as he walked over to an unfamiliar pelt. The cat did look like another that he had met before, although not as fluffy. He waved his black-tipped tail as he sat down near the other cat, his yellow eyes glinting slightly, "The name's Ghost."

"Yes, I'm fine." she responded with a sweet smile. She wanted to get to know the cats around here, because otherwise it was a rather nice place. She was planning on staying near by, but that all depended. "I am Ruby. Nice to meet you ghost."

Ghost purred as he blinked his yellow eyes, the sun burning his black pelt. "Nice to meet you too, Ruby," He smiled, wrapping his tail around himself.

Ruby smiled . "Are you a kittypet? Living around here?" she asked the other cat innocently, not meaning to imply anything if she did.

Ghost nodded in response, purring, "Yep," He said, moving his paw to motion to the spikey collar around his neck, the cross-shaped ID engraved with the word 'Gnasher'. He continued with a smile, "You?"

Ruby shook her head. "I can't say I do. I never tie myself to one place. It's to... I don't know what the word is, but it's not for me." responded no wanting to offend the other cat.

"Surely you have a better reason than that," Ghost replied, tail tip twitching as he smiled, "Come on, I'm not gonna be offended," He said, beginning to groom his paw.

Ruby laughed. "If I hated this place one I wouldn't be here or two I would join a clan. I simply perfer living on my own, although I am thinking of staying here for a little." she responded. "In fact, I think Kitty Pets are some of the best cats I've ever met."

Ghost nodded, understanding. If he hadn't have liked it here or found friends then he would've moved away to a clan or somewhere else also. He gave her a small purr and smile, "Well if you do end up staying here you're always welcome in my nest," He said, motioning to the large, black painted building. "And I have to agree," He continued, "Everyone thinks that just 'cause we live with twolegs that we're soft and stuck up... But most of us are pretty cool."

Ruby nodded. "Thanks for the offer. I will consider it." she smiled kindly, but semi acquwardly. She wass considering staying, but wasn't sure she would check out the twoleg dens yet. She had been raised with them being a terror. "Um, no offense, but you are kinda soft. If I said I'd killed a cat, i doubt you'd react well. But that;s part of what makes you guys cool. You can get over almost anything even when you guys react badly at first. That's what other cats see though, the first reaction, and that makes you soft in their eyes. They define soft weirdly." she said, crinckling her brow as she tried to make what she had said a bit less offensive.

"Hm," Ghost replied shortly, looking at the dirty floor, "Whatever you say," He said. He couldn't help but feel the slightest offended. The young cat didn't really enjoy being thought of as someone who was easily forgetful and weak just because he had the ability to get along with another creature and accept food from them. He loved the humans and apparently that made him soft in the eyes of forest cats.

Ruby bit her lip and looked down. "Sorry, it's just most kittypets are not well aquainted with death and danger of death, so they tend to be considered soft because they don't have a stone hard past. That's all I'm saying." she responded at Ghosts response.

"That's pretty dumb," Ghost said. Wild cats were pretty stupid if they thought that, "Even though unlike wild cats we're not cared for and given nice food by others and we don't need to be old enough to have kits before we're actually allowed to do stuff," He said, "Maybe they're the weak ones."
