(Spice, don't worry about the title, I just come up with random stuff. Also, don't worry about matching length, lately I go super long and super short.)
Calli stepped out into the freezing morning, emerging from a tree which was her den at the time and seemed hollow. She started her days early, knowing it probably wasn't worth the few extra hours, but she liked having more free time, so she always did her daily work early. She sighed and walked quickly into the dimly lit forest. She did a little more den hunting before settling on a rather secluded one that she had found the other day, no where near the river, but close to a small pond. The water came from the swamp probably, but it was also rather clean as it wasn't directly linked to the swamp. She went to her tree den and grabbed a mouthful of her pre-stocked prey that she had for the colder days and went back, placing them in a small alcove by the pond that would be a bit cooler. She was heading back to get the rest when she ran into another cat. "I am so sorry." she said, her slightly big green eyes facing the other cat's brown ones. "I wasn't paying attention, I should have seen you there." she added. She had somehow taken this as an instinct, while a short time ago she would have snapped. She had changed though, but no one knew. No one had known her before she changed herself to Calli, an innocent cat that could never hurt a fly. Just the type of cat she used to hate. But it was worth it to not have other cats betray her. "I was thinking and not paying attention and-" she cut herself off, "I hope you can forgive me."
