BerylpawJoey grinned as he flicked his black, nicked ear. He had been getting ready to go and steal some more stuff so that he could trade it off for something more valuable. A purr rumbled in his throat as his odd coloured eyes focused on a nearby hole in the ground. It looked like a rabbit hole, but the young cat wasn't too sure... He decided to go check it out. Joey made his way towards the hole and began to dig near it, trying to make it larger so that his own body could fit in it. Thankfully, the cat wasn't yet fully grown so he wouldn't have to dig for very long. After a while of digging, the tuxedo feline finally managed to make it large enough and made his way in. It was a rabbit hole and inside was, strangely for the time of year, a small rabbit. The creature looked thankfully defenceless so Joey grabbed it and stepped back out of the hole. However, when he exited, he saw a white cat standing nearby. The young thief flicked his ear, "Who are you?" He said, trying to sound strong yet not scare her off yet.

Ruby had been walking but had stopped when she saw a cat with his head stuck deep down into a rabbit hole. She was quite sure it was a rabbit hole because there was another near by, and cats tended to tunnel. When the cat emerged with a small rabbit she was slightly surprised. All that effort for just a rabbit. "Who are you?"
Ruby nodded in response. "Great way to hunt a rabbit." she rolled her eyes. "All that effort and it's so small..."

"That's a weird name for a cat," Joey said, slightly agitated that his question had been ignored, "Never heard that one before, s'not very nice to meet you so far, Greatwaytohuntarabbit,". Joey dropped the rabbit and began to speak again, explaining himself, "I'll trade it with some associates of mine for something more valuable, afterall, baby rabbit's pretty popular where I'm from," He spoke, expecting something great when he went to go and meet his mother again who would trade him twoleg gold for it.

"Why did you bother getting your paws dirty for it? Why not just catch one when it poked it's head out?" she tilted her head, not seeming to notice the other cat's agitation. "A baby rabbit may be pretty, but I've never heard of a popular one before. Would you introduce me?" she paused for a moment. "And from what I know, when things die they tend to be less popular.

"Because then I'd have to chase it," Joey replied, flicking an ear, "And I prefer not wasting energy, even if it will give me profit," The black and white cat responded, sitting down and wrapping his tail around his paws to show that he wasn't going to fight when he decided that Ruby wasn't going to attack him. "Well, where I'm from, it's pretty rare that you find a baby rabbit considering the environment, and a wild born one is even rarer... It'll be worth twoleg gold once I give it to my mother and she pays me back for it," He said, proud of himself. "Dead or alive, nobody cares." The cat replied, blinking.

"Sure, maybe that's why you didn;t chase, but since you did pull it from a hole it would have been better to keep it alive. From what you say you'd get 'paid' more. Some cats may want it alive and since that is a harder request, it is worth more. That's how I think traiding works at least..." she was confusing herself mroe than clarifying things at that point, so she just quit talking.

Joey flicked his tail tip and left ear when the still unknown cat spoke to him. It was slightly irritating considering she was trying to speak about something she had no idea about that he had been a part of since birth. It may be," Joey replied, "But it probably would've starved to death on the journey even if it had survived," The tom replied, the journey to his birthplace was very far, which was why he tried to get a lot of stuff there in one go so he didn't have to visit so often.

"Would you starve on the trip?" she asked, not understanding any of this, but deciding she might as well talk. No reason to share that she didn't know what was going on. "that's all you need to answer, then it is easy to tell if it's worth it. It probably is by the way."

"No I wouldn't starve on the journey," Joey replied, deciding to give an explanation, despite it probably not being wanted at all, "I can feed myself without my mother and can last longer without food, whereas the rabbit would probably die after a few hours without it's mother."

"Without its mother. Well that rabbit there is a baby, but most baby rabbits even know how to eat. Just put it in a clover patch or with some of those carrot things." she rolled her eyes. "And if it died then horray for you apparently."

"Why would I put effort into nurturing something that I'm just going to trade away and probably be fed later?" Joey replied, finding that kind of unreasonable. He didn't have time to look after baby rabbits that he was just going to get rid of... There were more important things that he could be doing like gaining recognition and authority, not looking after something that would only be in his possession for a moon at most.
"Yes, horray for me, I don't have to put effort into looking after someone else's kid."

Ruby shrugged. "Well, why would you dig it out at all if your just gonna trade it away. Why trade it at all?" she asked, not confused, but trying to make a point. "And rabbits aren't kids. They are evil."

"I feel like I shouldn't be telling you so much about this, it's pretty private," Joey replied, blinking his eyes before beginning to give off yet another explaination, "By trading it off I can get more valuable items that can gain me respect. A lot of the things I collect and trade can also be exchanged for favours." The black and white cat couldn't help but chuckle at what he said next, "Kittypet these days know nothing about value, you could give 'em a feather and get enough food for a three cats along with favours." He genuinely found it funny how dumb kittypet were with that sort of stuff, then again he didn't expect them to understand considering they didn't have to work for everything.

"I hate cats with respect. They are always the ones who are most arrogant. You think kittypets are dumb, but they just have more priorities. Feathers are things to play with, and they don;t need all their food so its a fair trade for tthem. And twolegs just strait out offer things up. Are they stupid?" she asked.

"Yes but imagine if you were one if those cats," Joey replied, eyes brightening, "Wouldn't it be great to have cats bow down to you and look up to you as their leader?" He grinned, tail waving gently. "Kittypets are dumb though," He said, "They don't understand survival or how life works. I doubt one would last a moon on its own in the wild," He tried to reason, "Most have no idea how to hunt or fight or make a den or anything."
-I just realised how much Joey and Ghost really would hate eachother-
