Joey's white paws shuffled on the ground as he considered the question. Maybe he could just reply with something that wouldn't affect him. He had told another cat about his family but he guessed that he probably shouldn't tell Natalia considering he knew nothing about her apart from the name she went by. "Hm," He paused, "Well, I'm not originally from around here, neither are my family. We come from far away but both me and my sister live in the plains." He stated, staying silent afterwards.

Natalia watched Joey carefully as he seemed to ponder her offer. It seemed to her, she and Joey shared some similarities. Namely, the lack of trust in strangers. It was something that Natalia found that not as many cats as she would've thought had. She supposed cats didn't like the idea that others might wish to do them harm. Even if the notion was a tiny bit self-centered.
Though, it seemed like Joey liked the idea of the exchange of information. Her tail swept from side to side behind her. Sounds like Joey and his apparent sister lived in the plains. So, loners then. Well, she could tell easily enough Joey was a loner... But family tended to drift.
She shrugged. "I'm not from around here either. My sister is one of the those clan cats, my brother is a kittypet, but they used to be loners." She purposefully omitted the fact she was a member of Deathclan. She wasn't sure how Joey would take it.

-This is so late and so short, I'm sorry-
Joey's black ears flicked slightly as he shuffled his white paws, amber and blue eyes wide. He twitched his tail tip slightly as he began to judge the cats whom Natalia had briefly described, "So one's a manipulative weakling and the other's boring." He stated, not bothered about whether this would offend the scarred tabby or not- it was his opinion and he was entitled to that.
"What are their names?" He asked out of pure curiosity.

((It's fine, don't worry about it.
Natalia frowned at Joey's crude explanation. Though, she wouldn't call Thomas manipulative. He was a little too forward to be called that. If he was truly manipulative, she imagined he'd be trying to take advantage of her instead of straight up trying to murder her. Or... Perhaps he was talking about her sister that she'd never met. Her name was Nightpaw, wasn't it...?
She couldn't make a judgement on her sister, since she hadn't met her.
"I knew them as Sunset and Eve. Apparently they changed their names to Thomas and Nightpaw respectively." She answered.

-Ahh crappers I meant to type 'easily manipulated but my English just went down the drain-
Joey began to look around, eyes beginning to scan the area. "I'm still confused about why one of them would join a clan... It's too orderly and boring for my taste." He continued, "And why'd the twoleg toy change his name?" Joey asked, not really seeing the point. He understood why the other one would because it was their awful tradition... But he still didn't get why the other would go through the effort to actually change their name.
-All of this is spammy waste-

((Don't worry ahaha. Also I operate under the headcanon that kittypets are at the very least able to glean certain words from their owners which is why they know words like cars and fences and stuff. Also, how they know what their owner named them.
Natalia snorted. "Hell if I know." She replied. "She left my family when I was born so..." She shrugged to emphasize her point. "But I don't really get those clanners either, so I can't even guess." She sighed. "You know how some kittypets have weird names? Like Nevada? I think somehow kittypets manage to untangle enough twoleg gibberish to get what their owners named them." She guessed. "But, I don't know. Never been a kittypet, so I can only theorize."

-Ah, I also operate under that, but Joey's pretty ignorant and doesn't really know about kittypets.-
Joey purred, shrugging. He was beginning to feel comfortable around Natalia, perhaps this cat wasn't too bad afterall- maybe he could trust her. Joey sighed, he honestly couldn't fathom the life choices of some cats, clans, twolegs, it was all nonsense to him. The young cat didn't understand why they couldn't all just live like he did, then again he had never experienced any other life.
Tilting his head slightly, Joey began to question the she-cat, "So... Where are you living right now? You live alone or...?"

((Umm... I think the extent as to what Nat knows about kittypets is that they tend to have weird names, and are probably all waaay too hungry for attention. She figures having kittypet heritage is the source of strange names belonging to loners and rogues.
Seems Joey was comfortable enough around Natalia. She didn't have any problems with him either, hence the lack of angry remarks. She did have a temper after all. She wondered if anyone actually knew... She hadn't met anyone who had incited her temper yet, after all.
"Sort of. I'm Deathclan." She shrugged. "Don't know what you've heard... But we're basically a bunch of cats who share the same living space. We mark our territory and cats who aren't Deathclan stay out, but that's pretty much it. I think we're supposed to band together to attack people sometimes, but that hasn't happened in moons."

-Ah. Jo just knows kittypets as the 'overfed ones who live with twolegs.-
Joey slanted his eyes slightly in confusion, his head tilting to the left, "So you're in like a rogue group?" He asked, trying to understand. Natalia seemed to agree with him about how the clans' traditions were strange, so if she was telling the truth then they weren't a traditional clan. The word 'death' also implied savage. Maybe they were like an anti-clan or something. He didn't know, all these fancy groups and things around this area were very confusing to him.
"Well, if you were to attack, I'd be glad to join," He said with amusement, his teeth flashing.

((Lol))
Natalia nodded. "Yeah, pretty much." She confirmed. It seemed Joey got the gist, so that was fine. Natalia shrugged. "If you want to join, you can. I'm not forcing you, though. Think on it." She advised. It seemed Joey disliked the clans enough to be willing to attack them. "You got a problem with the clans?" Natalia personally, was indifferent. Though, she was loyal enough to Deathclan to join in on any attack. At least she didn't know her sister's face, so she wouldn't even know if she was fighting her own family... Not that she really was family.
After all, she didn't even know what she looked like.

Joey grinned, nodding, "I'll have to check it out sometime," He purred, swishing his tail.
"I don't have a problem with the clans," The young cat continued, giving his forepaw a quick lick, "I just enjoy fighting and find their traditions odd," He replied.
-Short sorry-

Natalia shrugged. "Perhaps you will." Then she seemed to consider something. "Though, if you do come to check it out, be careful. There's all sorts of characters hanging around. Some with a little too much hostility and not enough general decency." She warned.
She shrugged. "Hm. I suppose I don't have a problem with the clans either, though I wouldn't mind being part of an attack on them." Though, she would draw the line at killing their apprentices, kits, and queens.

Joey smiled, waving his tail lightly, "I'm sure I'll be able to fight 'em off" He said confidently. He probably wouldn't be able to win a fight with any of the cats down there- yes, he was skilled, but he was also young and he had heard that Deathclan cats were very dangerous. Most of them anyway, Natalia didn't seem so bad.
Joey nodded silently in agreement, thinking about a fight with the clans. Of course, his thoughts weren't accurate- he had no idea how large an entire clan actually was.

((Except the clans aren't much bigger than DC tbh. Buuut DC also seems to be made up of primarily small children essentially
Natalia shrugged. She imagined it was cockiness. She didn't know if it was genuine or a cover up, but she supposed it didn't matter. "Maybe." She entertained the notion.
Then Joey silently nodded.
She felt as if she'd run out of conversation topics. She didn't like small talk much. She wasn't much good at it and she disliked the lack of meaning in it. "Got anything else to say?" She asked bluntly.
