Melony nodded in agreemnent as she watched the dog pad off. It was a little sad that the dogs she had tended to see recently all tried to chace her and hurt her. Talk about a twisted view of living. They were worse than other cats, and she saw them more often. She decided not to tell Dahlia about this part of the outside world, because she herself had nightmare about it, and Dahlia wasn;t accusstom to the typical world. Then agin, why would sh ever need to be. Her family, and sure they were twolegs and dogs, but still family, appeared to live there and not want to visit the outside world. She was safe, and didn't need tales of the outside horrors, she had already heard enough.
Mel listens to everything that Dahlia lists, and decides that they all sound like fun, so she shakes her head. "Whatever you think is the best." she responds, smiling brightly. She pauses for a minute before asking a question herself. "How many other house cats are there living in this city do you think?" she asked, teying to gouge out the size of the city, but not really sure if Dahlia would have an answer.

Dahlia watches her new companion curiously as she nods in agreeement, paying extra attention to the dog as he pads away out of sight. In fact, even once the dog is gone she seems concentrated on something...else. Like her thoughts are wandering too far and she's trying to herd them back to earth, with no avail of course. Dahlia blinks, frowning slightly and peering at Melony with worry in her gaze before the other seems to have successfully returned her thoughts to their confines, and turns the showcat a smile, considering her offers. Dahlia's worry dissipates like mist in the sun shine and she returns the smile instantly.
Her ears twitch slightly at the indecisive answer, before she nods happily. Most of the aforementioned things are in the sun room, which happens to be her little room, so she leaps down to the ground with utmost grace to head for that direction. Yet she pauses as the other speaks, peering over her shoulder to see Melony's curious expression. "Oh plenty, I'm sure. I haven't met many yet, but I know there must be lots, there is cat scent almost everywhere. I think this town loves cats quite wholly." With that she flicks her tail in a gesture to follow and trots off toward the sun room.
The room is pleasantly warm when Dahlia steps in, and she smiles to herself, tail curling in delight as she looks up at her little climbing gym. Twitching her tail, she peers up at the hugs 'cat highway' that loops around the house with lots of ups and downs, bridges and places to nap. It starts in three places, and from the top of her climbing frame is one of them. Offering the other a carefree smile she trots over and climbs onto a ledge that allows her to jump onto the second level, she climbs up the little ladder onto a platform and jumps up to perch outside her little box. Here she blinks around almost lazily before stepping onto a little bridge that arcs around a a plactform with a padded dip similar to that of a bed, it's directly in line with the sun from one of the windows, and she stretches out in her warming beams before grinning at Melony. "Feel free to explore, you can even look around the house from above, if you want." She nods toward the 'cat highway' at the last part, indicating a the path only open to them.
(She's got lots of stuff, the house is huge. I couldn't find exact images of what I wanted, but here are some examples; here, here and here)

Melony nodds and steps tentivly onto a bridge, gougingg safeness before climbing up higher, eventually coming to a Hoop looking think, ans lays down. "It's a nice house. she said, peering down and watching the door. "Why do towleg's like cats?" she mused. She aleasy knew whyy they needed a complanion or whatever, but why didn't they justt go with dogs. It seemed like hhalf of them did. (Hoop looking things means something like photo two top left. Sorry for shortness.)

Dahlia watches as the other tentatively makes her way up the climbing thing. She finds herself relaxing slightly under the warm rays of sunshine as they bath her through the window. With a slight purr she relaxes further into the comfort, claws unsheathing as she stretches out her legs. After her luxurious stretch she peers over to see Melony has found a comfortable perch upon one of the hoop things, and she smiles over at her, before frowning a little in thought at the question.
She mulls the question over and over again in her head, before realising she isn't really sure. After a pause, she rolls onto her back and peers up at the ceiling, as though such a thing is going to help her think. After a while she tilts her head back to peer over at the other feline and offers a childish grin. "Well, clearly because they love. Us. Besides, so long as food is provided we basically take care of ourselves." She smiles happily, allowing the sun to warm her belly as she closes her eyes. "They don't have to train us, or make sure we won't run away. We know our way home from anywhere, and if we don't epget along with something we avoid it,m unlike those silly dogs who'll attack it. Clearly we're just a little more...pleasant." She smiles happily at this, peering over at Melony to gouge her reaction to Dahlia's opinion.

Melony nodded. "That's definantly true." she said, pausing a moment to gather her thoughts. "but don't you think that while dogs are more cuddly, we are more commanding. Cats more tell them what to do, while dogs do all these tricks and twolegs tell them what to do. she shrugged.

Dahlia purrs, smiling pridefully as her new friend agrees with her. She'd already come to recognise her as a friend. Probably because they'd shared food, conversed for a reasonably long time without pause or irritation, and the other was now in her house having met the majority of her little family minus a twoleg and a dog. Her ears twitch slightly, the sun's rays causing her attention to lapse slightly. This particular fact causes her to startle as the other speaks, and she chuckles quietly at herself before settling and turning her head to listen.
"We are not exactly commanding, and we are perfectly Cuddly. If anything we're easier to cuddle because we're smaller. Besides, you can teach a cat tricks, too. Most housefolk just don't ask us to" This was perfectly true, or at least in her case. Being a 'live-to-please' showcat, she'd been taught many tricks, including how to navigate her little highway. Getting to her paws, Dahlia stretches and leaps onto another part of her highway, moving along just below the ceiling until the reaches a stretching post. Unsheathing her claws she scrapes them along the post a few times - which consists of a wooden beam holding up part of the highway, covered in carpet for this exact purpose - before stalking gracefully along until she reaches a perch on the climbing set. She carefully lowers herself expertly down to Melony's level before stretching out of a little platform jutting out nearby her.
