(i am v tired and that means a short post, sorry)
Peter made a soft grunt as he slid into the nest, and for a few moments the pain intensified, but then it began to recede as he relaxed into the soft bedding. Sure, his body still ached and the scratches still stung, but he wasn't moving or holding himself up. It smelled strongly of Natalia, which put his senses on edge, but what could he expect.
As the she-cat had predicted Jude arrived quickly, though Peter only raised his head for a second to see. When the moss was placed in front of him Peter maneuvered his body so he was half sitting and half laying. "Thanks." He dipped his head and lapped at the dripping moss. The taste was more earthy than he was expecting, but the water was cool and soothed his dry throat. After a while he stopped his drinking and turned to Natalia.
"I should have said this earlier, but thank you as well."

((Eh. It's okay. You're probably more functional than I was during algebra yesterday
Peter still seemed tense, but at least he wasn't trying to bolt away. Natalia noticed Jude come in with dripping wet moss, and he sat down next to her. She was watching Peter carefully. Peter likely simply needed time to rest... It'd be fine. None of the scratches were serious, he'd heal them quickly and properly. Well, she hoped. She wasn't an expert at this stuff.
When Jude had come in, Peter had raised his head and moved to drink from the moss. Then he thanked Jude. Well, that was to be expected. She, herself was thankful to have Jude by her side. He was a good, reliable cat that if she were allowed to be selfish... Would stay with her. Of course, she didn't think she was allowed to be selfish. She tried to spend time with Jude when she could but...
She half expected him to leave unfortunately often.
But then came the real surprise. Peter thanked her. "Oh." Her ears folded back as she turned away. "It's really no problem...."
Wouldn't any cat help a kid?

"Of course." Jude said, trilling a purr. 'Looks like he's calmed down a lot. I wonder if Natalia gave him a pep-talk or something.' He wouldn't have thought that before, but now it didn't seem too far-fetched. He watched as Peter drank some water, and he couldn't help but smile at him. It felt nice to help out.
Jude chuckled when Natalia turned away. 'Look who got all shy all of a sudden.' He nudged her. "You did a good thing, Nat. I wouldn't have thought to carry him here." Then he turned back to Peter. "Are you okay now? Do you need anything else?" He wasn't going to ask him where he came from or what happened. Or at least, not yet.
