Hah! Success....? Well, it looked like Mudpaw was in pain as well now, so Brightpaw's possibly ill-conceived plan had worked. But now he was thrashing around, trying to get free. She tried slamming one of her forepaws down on Mudpaw's throat, trying to hold him down like that. Having pressure on your throat like that was immensely uncomfortable.

mudpaw continued to trash, his bright eyes focused on brightpaw as he tried to look for any sign of struggle on her face. he was getting kind of frustrated now, but tried not to let it show.
as he almost managed to get himself away, the other cat managed to slam her paw on his throat. his eyes widened and he opened his mouth, trying to keep his breath despite the discomfort. he began slamming his paws on brightpaw's legs again.
-aw he's so pathetic considering how good he thinks he is-

((Pfft, I'm sure he'll get better with time. Brightpaw, in the meantime, is very invested on being able to kick her siblings' butts))
Brightpaw could see her friend's discomfort, and she openly winced. She didn't like hurting her friends but... He did agree to the spar, even as weak as the excuse felt in her own mind.
"I win.... I think." She meowed, somewhat awkwardly. "I mean, if I unsheathed my claws I could slit your throat... So I think I win?" She lessened the pressure on Mudpaw's throat, not wanting to accidentally suffocate him. He seemed to be able to breathe still... Even if he experienced some difficulties.

-brightpaw is one of my favourite characters on here for that very reason though, she's so determined-
mudpaw smiled in relief when brightpaw loosened her grip on his throat, savoring the air like it was the best thing that could ever happen to him. he stayed lying on the floor, green eyes looking up at the other cat, smirking a little, although his ears flicked slightly, "okay, fine, you win," he said, laughter apparent in his voice, "but next time you better watch out, 'cause i wont go so easy on ya'" he threatened jokingly, winking.

((Ahahah thanks! That's actually a trait of her's that remained constant.
Brightpaw finally stepped off, letting Mudpaw get back on his paws. She awkwardly smiled. It was a gentle smile, not very wide or vastly expressive. "I'm looking forward to it." She didn't quite purr, but there was a certain lift to her voice. She was glad Mudpaw didn't seem mad or hurt. She supposed he really did enjoy fighting, even in a spar. Yep. He was infinitely better than any of her siblings. Mostly Almondpaw.

mudpaw stretched his legs out when brightpaw finally got off of him, before rolling onto his side and eventually lifting himself to his dirty paws. he shook some dust from his pelt, "you should," he grinned, swishing his tail. "do you have things to do or can i stay here longer?" he asked, feeling like they had been alone way too long without having to do anything work related.
-wow muse is dead-

Brightpaw watched as her friend stretched himself out, finally get onto his paws. Offhandedly, she thought that Mudpaw's name was pretty accurate... Her friend did kind of like getting dirty, or at least didn't mind it. Hm. She shrugged. "I mean... I don't really have any obligations to do anything right now, so we can stick around however long we like." She sighed. "Haven't heard from Eveningwhisper yet, so... Yeah."

-my nana and grandad are chopping onions and my eyes kill-
mudpaw's eyes lit up when brightpaw informed him that she had nothing to be doing, meaning the two could stay longer. he tilted his head at the mention of eveningwhisper's name- she was brightpaw's mentor, right? yeah, he remembered her from the ceremony... and from when she snuck him out of camp when he was a kit but that was irrelevant and not to be mentioned.
he opened his mouth to speak, his tone curious, "what do you mean you haven't heard from her yet?" he asked, "have you done your assessment already?"

((I'm screaming on the inside because I simultaneously understand that real life takes priority and tends to be VERY demanding and time-consuming BUT I am also with the patience of a squirrel and I have WAITED AND WAITED for things such as Rin/Aloe to come back and for Jc to also come back for Bright's assessment asdfghjkl;
Buuut in the meantime I can be cool with just stalking that thread you and Almond have huehuehuehue :3c))
Brightpaw was glad to see Mudpaw was happy to know that they could just stay here and hang out. It was nice to spend time with someone whom you cared about. Mudpaw was her best friend. No doubt. Though... Come to think of it, he was her only friend. Eh. It didn't bother her at all, really. She wasn't sure she wanted any more friends.
She shrugged. "No. I haven't had my assessment. I hope it's soon. I think Almondpaw had her's already..." She groaned. She could just imagine it. Vividly. Almondpaw was a total pain in her everywhere and if she was the first one to reach warriorhood... She'd probably lord it over her and Willowpaw as evidence that she was better than either of them. She really hoped to have her assessment soon....
Before Almondpaw turned into an even bigger jerk in the face.
((asdfghjkl; why can't these cats have better swears jeez))

-ah, i can relate on so many levels (well not currently but hey), which i guess is kinda hypocritical considering i made leesee (i think it was) wait over a month... but if you really don't wanna wait, you could ask someone else to fill in for jc
and oml, i'm being stalked (not that i don't stalk others), feel free to see even more of my terrible roleplaying skills-
mudpaw's ears flattened at that, trying to smile and brighten the mood a little, "well, maybe you'll be able to have yours soon and then you can at least have your ceremony at the same time as her," he tilted his head before his green eyes widened.
"orrr~" he said in a sing-song voice, "we could totally embarrass her at her warrior ceremony... wuci what are some stupid things she did as a kit?" he laughed, swishing his tail.
-wow that was kinda short... aaanyway, mudpaw has officially gained the role of best-friend, mission accomplished, i can retire from vww now
and yeah, i usually just kinda make some up... i guess they have to make the site child-friendly tho-

((Ehhh yeah I'm thinking of waiting until tomorrow, when it will have been two weeks since Jc last replied. I'm thinking that's an acceptable amount of time to wait until giving into my impatience and asking someone else to do Bright's assessment. I'll probably ask Cloudskip. She's active and nice.
And naw man. You're an awesome RP buddy ;D))
Brightpaw could see Mudpaw was trying to look on the bright side. She gave a small smile. "Yeah. If we have it on the same day... Maybe it won't be so bad. She'll still be a jerk, but less so." She held out no hope for Almondpaw not finding some way to try and hurt her... But anything softening those blows were welcome.
She tilted her head and frowned. "Well... In theory that's a great idea... But... The problem is, anything she did as a kit is something she was proud of. If I brought up the time she bit my tail off, she'll probably just laugh and call me a weak crybaby again."
((I'm not too good at making up some of these eheheh... I try my best, though.))

-aw thanks-
mudpaw frowned a little, "so you're saying that she really didn't do anything embarrassing as a kit?" he asked, "we could make something up..." he suggested, kind of unsure considering his originality was lacking a little, "or we could just call her almondmilk the rest of her life, or see if we can convince jackalstar to make that her permanent warrior name," he laughed at his own suggestion, although it probably wasn't all too funny.
the young cat flicked a white-tipped ear, "well, her calling you that makes her a liar then, doesn't it," he continued, "and an abusive piece of sung. just call her out on it," mudpaw said, eyes kind of drifting to look at brightpaw's tail.
-ahh this is a crappy drabble post, and it's fine-

((OMFG MUDDY
Brightpaw snorted loudly. "A-Almondmilk?" She was finding it a little hard to breathe because she was too busy trying not to laugh. It was ridiculous. Utterly, completely, ridiculous. Though, she imagined pretty much everyone would find it hard to take her sister seriously if her name was Almondmilk. Alas, it probably wouldn't happen, but it was a funny thought. Then a new thought crossed her mind.
"I just had a great idea. When she gets her warrior name, I'm just going to call her Almondmilk for the rest of forever regardless of her actual name." She decided.
Her ears flattened. "Well, yeah. I don't cry. And I'm not weak." She blinked. That was the first time she'd heard anyone call Almondpaw... Well, abusive. A bully, a jerk, cruel, and violent.... Yes. Abusive? Never. She gently shook her head. "She'll probably just call me whiny. She does it to Willowpaw all the time."

-aAHAHAH-
mudpaw grinned widely when he managed to make brightpaw laugh again and also began to snicker loudly at his own joke. he doubted that the joke was even actually that funny, but he could imagine the look on the other cat's face when she got called that. it'd be hilarious.
the tom nodded, blinking tears of laughter from his eyes... jeez, yeah it was funny but don't laugh at your own jokes man, gosh. "oh cloudclan, the way she'll react to being called almondmilk for her entire life," he began to snicker again.
mudpaw frowned again when brightpaw flattened her ears... come on, muddy, get your own emotions, man, stop stealing your friends. "you're definitely not weak," he said, referencing their spar, "maybe she's the whiny one and cant come to terms with it, which is why she's like that," he said. yes, mudpaw had also called willowpaw whiny, but at that point he was like fifty percent humour... and fifty percent regret but that was irrelevant.
-do cats even know what almond milk is?-

((Lol who cares
Brightpaw's laughing was joined with Mudpaw's snickering. It was originally her friend's joke, so of course he laughed. However, it was the sandy furred apprentice's intention to run with the joke as far as she could. Long after it stopped being funny to others. It would even make Almondpaw getting her ceremony first better!
Brightpaw snorted loudly. "That's exactly what I'm hoping for!" She explained, a playful glow accompanying her smile. Maybe it was a tad mean exactly what they were talking about... But after being called crybaby again and again, and even having her apprentice name disrespected... She couldn't really feel regret about it.
Brightpaw sighed. "Nah, Almondpaw doesn't whine. She just sinks herself ten fox-lengths deep in denial, really. It doesn't do much other than make it hard to mess with her, beyond getting her frustrated."
