Almondpaw hoped to catch one more piece of prey.
She started sniffing around but she could find something yet. After a few moments she spotted a mouse. 'I got to catch it.' The she-cat started creeping towards it and when it started dashing away, Almondpaw ran after it. Once she was close enough the she-cat pounced and sunk her teeth.

Stormfrost jumped to his paws and headed over towards Almondpaw.
"Congrats, you've passed the hunting portion. Now for a little
bit of a battle assessment. We will go till someone pins the
other cat down or there's a clear winner." And with that he leaped
at Almondpaw, wondering what her first move would be.

As he leaped Almondpaw remembered what Brightpaw would do.
The spotted tabby leapt out of the way before she spun around to attempt to quickly rake his side before backing up.

Stormfrost was big. A rather large cat at that which of course
he was strong but not necessarily the fastest. He felt a little
bit of a rake along his side and winced. The tom flipped around,
attempting to headbutt her, aiming to weaken her balance.

Almondpaw didn't move in time, she tried to keep her balance but it was hard. She didn't want to embarrass herself by falling. Once she had regained her balance, the spotted tabby ran around him in circles attempting to slash at his legs and backing away quickly.

He winced again and then rolled, attempting to roll into her to
knock her off her paws. It could either allow him to be pinned
and she would win or he could manage to get back up again
after playing a round of cat bowling, her legs as pins. A weird
comparison but nonetheless it worked.

Almondpaw then smirked noticing that he was rolling towards her. She could leapt on top of him and win. She stepped out of the way and then attempted to leapt on top of him.

Stormfrost was caught by surprise though at the same time he
had to admit that he saw it coming. He stopped rolling when
she leaped and she managed to land on top of him as he couldn't
get out of the way in time. "Good. See, you're fast. I'm strong,
but not as fast as you are. Make sure you use your speed to
your advantage. Now, let's go tell Jackalstar that you're ready
to become a warrior!" He could easily have used his back legs to
remove her as he was one of the strongest in the clan, despite his
age. But he didn't feel like doing so. "I'll help you carry the prey
back. Congrats by the way," he said, picking up two pieces and
waiting for her before starting back towards camp.

Almondpaw eyes shined as she leapt off of him. She had passed and now she could prove that she was better then her weak siblings. She was gonna become a warrior. Almondpaw dug up the rabbit she had caught and carried it happily to the camp.

(Already taken care of  ) Stormfrost headed to camp, proud of his little great granddaughter. "Not so little anymore.." He mumbled to himself quietly with the prey in his mouth. (End of thread) |
