(o) Golden Sunrise (o)

    Firekit's ears twitched as she strained her eyes open to see the golden sunrise. She got up to her paws and yawned while flexing her legs. She sneaked out of the den.

    Outside the nursery she went. The sun rays turned her orange pelt to glowing fire-gold and shone bright as she sat down on the blank white snow. When she turned back to check if no one was behind her, she saw paw prints. She turned to her left and saw another kit sitting right next to her.

Jaguarkit was a sneaky little thing. He decided to take this to his advantage. He saw an orange pelted she kit wander out of the nursery and this struck a bit of curiosity within him. Jaguarkit wandered a few paces behind her and wandered up to her left side before plopping his rear on the ground next to her, softly though as to not make a sound. "Did I surprise you?" He asked, turning his head over to the other kit as she looked over at him. His blue eyes were steady as he set his gaze on her's.

Firekit knew another kit was next to her. Instead of looking surprised, she just acted casually. There was a silver tom with black spots and ice blue eyes. "Hello! What's your name?" 'Wow! This guy is really sneaky and quiet, like a JAGUAR!' "I'm guessing your name is Jaguarkit? Because you're really sneaky and quiet like a jaguar."

[Jaguarpaw]

He wasn't sure whether to be stunned, amused or impressed so he left his expression blank. "Yeah that's right. Just Jay is fine if you want. Who are you, anyway?" He asked, wondering what her name was in some way. Orange pelt. Something like Fire or Flame? It'd suit her well with a pelt like that. Jaguarkit thought and flicked a silver and black ear, keeping his blue eyes on her so she wouldn't be able to pull something over on him.

Swankit was extremely bored. She stared at the prey pile, though she wasn't hungry. Simply observing the dead. She watched the back and forth of two other kits, blinking slowly. Everyone was so boring, and there was nothing to do as a kit in this place. She approached them slowly, not really wanting to socialize. Swankit knew it was better then sitting on her butt all day. "Jay? Doesn't suit you." She decided, joining in their conversation quickly. "I'm Swankit, by the way."

Firekit replied, "Okay then Jay... My name?" Firekit paused for a moment. "My name is Firekit. Just like FIRE in Fireclan!" Firekit looked at the silver pelted cat. He was beautiful and handsome. Maybe in the future she could mate with him! "Anyways, don't you think the sunset is pretty?" Then she saw another white kit next to her. When she mentioned her name was Swankit, Firekit said, "Oh hi! I'm Firekit! Nice name Swankit!"

Jaguarkit gave a little narrow of his eyes over towards Swankit with a boyish sideways smile-smirkish thing. "Really? Why not? And Swankit? Cute." He turned his head back to Firekit. "I do think the sunset's pretty. And your name by the way suits you nicely." He said with a small smile. She'd been nicer from introduction than Swankit but he didn't seem to mind either one of their ways. He was around she cats of course.

Swankit wrinkled her nose in distaste at Firekits excitement, looking her over once. Her name was unoriginal, and she didn't think she deserved the title of her clans name. Despite this, Swankit flashed her a sickly sweet smile, not responding to her and instead focusing on the other kit. "You just don't sound like a Jay. Jay sounds exciting, fun, a rule breaker. But you? Not even maybe." Swankit rolled her eyes as he said her name was cute, huffing. Perhaps her statement was a bit of a challenge. Rule breaking trouble makers were always interesting, though she doubted he would live up to it.

Jaguarkit gave a mischievous grin. "Fun and exciting? Perhaps around people who deserve it." He muttered. "Maybe you should try it yourself sometime. And who are you to talk? I thought anyone called 'swan' was a perfect little princess," Jay added. She didn't seem to be the little princess type but it was always fun to get a rise out of someone, especially she cats. They seemed to react differently than toms, more annoyed and... girly. Like a little girl that didn't get her way.

Swankit groaned in annoyance at his cocky demeanor, raising a non-existent brow. "Oh? And who would that be? Let me guess, your mommy?" Swankit teased him, her nose twitching lightly. She sat down, wrapping her thin tail neatly over her paws. She thought about his next statement, her tail tip tapping the ground. It took a lot more then a few pathetic insults to get her riles up. She supposed all those things were true, though she had another side to her too. "To you I'm a perfect little princess, but I'm a lot more to people who deserve it." She mocked him with a smirk.

Firekit smiled and stared at the beautiful golden sunset. "It is beautiful, right?" she said in awe, "We could be friends, right?"

He ignored Swankit's remark. There was no use in arguing. Especially not sense someone else was here and they were enjoying their time watching the sunset. "Yeah it is beautiful. And sure we can be friends." He glanced from Firekit to Swankit and wondered what her take on the situation would be too. He hadn't really pictured the word friend dancing anywhere near their relationship or whatever it was.

Firekit eyes landed softly on Jaguarkit's. She felt a shiver in her and it made her blush, then turn away embarrassed. Then she forgot that Jaguarkit was talking about being friends. "Oh! Uh, I um... What? Oh yeah! We could totally be friends!" Firekit said awkwardly with a weird smile.

Swankit grimaced as the word 'friend' was used, quickly growing uncomfortable. It wasn't only because she didn't think friendship was anywhere close to what was happening with the three, but also because the question wasn't meant to be answered by her. It was painfully obvious that Firekit was crushing on 'Jay'. Instead, Swankit stared at the same sunset she watched ever morning, unimpressed. She didn't find it anything near pretty. She inhaled sharply, inching away from the two. They wouldn't notice her leaving anyway, and she was third wheeling.

Jaguarkit did seem to notice Firekit was a bit interested in him which he didn't mind necessarily and noticed Swankit was heading away from them. He was thinking it had to deal with him and Firekit but he didn't mention anything. If Firekit wanted her to stay around she'd probably say something if she even noticed that Swankit and her sneaky self was slinking away.
