Brightpaw landed on her feet, as Cloudskip dodged. Though, the apprentice had almost gotten the warrior. Then a sheathed paw came slashing at her face. She ducked under the swipe, and lunged forward to tackle Cloudskip's chest.

Cloudskip flinched as she missed and was tackled. She fell onto the ground and took a few moments to catch her breath. If Brightpaw were to try and attack the she-cat while she was still, Cloudskip would tackle her. Maybe she should actually use that for combat sometime.

Brightpaw watched Cloudskip fall to the ground and try to catch her breath. She tried to go and step really hard on Cloudskip's gut, but was promptly tackled. She fell to the ground, rolling a bit, but managed to find her footing again. She cursed the fact she couldn't bite Cloudskip, because biting was a very good tactic... But it also kind of... Defeated the purpose of sheath claws. She leapt over Cloudskip, and tried to fiercely kick the older she-cat with her hindlegs. She aimed for the joints in the white-furred cat's hindlegs.

Cloudskip held her breath as the apprentice managed to kick her in the joints. She fell dragged herself up, not really in much shape to defend herself offensively. She merely braced for another attack and to see if there was an opening for her to retaliate.

Given that Brightpaw was already rather close, she lunged for the back of Cloudskip's neck, aiming to put all her weight there.

Cloudskip blinked, watching the apprentice lunge at her. The white warrior dropped onto her side and rolled out of the way just in time. Once Brightpaw hit the ground, Cloudskip aimed to trip her over. She was growing kind of tired from this, maybe they should finish it up soon.

Brightpaw landed on her paws, but was immediately tripped and she fell to the ground. Though, so Cloudskip wouldn't be able to try anything while she was down, she lashed out with her hindlegs. Then she rolled and landed on her paws.

Cloudskip flinched for a second, and just lied there fir a bit. "O-Okay... Do you want to finish? You've passed anyways." She laughed, staggering to her paws. She took some moments to take deep breaths just in case.

Brightpaw stared at Cloudskip who was simply laying the ground. "... Uh, sure." She said lamely. She wasn't entirely sure, what to say honestly... Though, she was never really one to extend fighting, even it was with sheathed claws. Then her assessor got to her paws. "So... That's it then?"

Cloudskip nodded and flicked her tail. "Yeah, that's it. We can dig up the buried prey and head back to camp." She sighed, and yawned.

Brightpaw nodded, moving to the side to dig up her buried prey. Once the meat was hanging from her jaws once more, she returned to Cloudskip, ready to leave.

Cloudskip nodded and smiled at Brightpaw. "Proud of you, Brightpaw." She said, wanting to lift the apprentice's spirits. "Now let's get back to camp, if you need help carrying prey, just ask."

Brightpaw didn't react much, other than a small incline of her head. It didn't mean much to her. She had no problems carrying the prey, and even if she did... She'd hardly admit it. She began walking in the direction of camp.
