Moonfur woke up, remembering once again she had an apprentice. 'Right. First day of training!' she thought, slowly getting up and stretching. Quietly picking her way out of the den, she shivered a bit as she stepped outside. The one bad things about training in leaf-bare; it was cold. She moved towards the Apprentices' Den, poking her head inside. "Firepaw! Your training!" she hissed at a low volume as to not awaken the other apprentices. The warrior moved back out, standing at some point between the camp exit and the den's entrance.

Firepaw was snuggling inside the apprentices den when she heard a she-cat's voice calling "Firepaw! Your Training!". Firepaw had no idea what the she-cat was talking about. Firepaw then knew what she was talking about. Her first day of training! She jumped up and ran out of the apprentices den to greet... Moonfur! "Hi Moonfur! Sorry I came out late..." she murmured, "Anyways, what are we gonna do for training? I'm so excited!"

Moonfur smiled a bit. "It's no problem." As the apprentice asked what they were going to do, she began walking to the exit, beckoning with her tail for Firepaw to follow. "First things first, borders." she said, remembering her own training. Learn the borders, then hunting, then fighting. The last two could be switched, as they each had elements to take from the other. Thinking about the way to go, she added, "We'll be going to the Treeclan border first."

Firepaw was so excited to train, borders... "Borders?" she questioned, "Like clan territires and stuff?" Firepaw was so excited to begin her first day of training. "Let's go!"

[Moonfur]

Moonfur nodded. "Yes, follow me!" she said, passing through the exit and entering the clan territory. She started slow, making sure she was going in the right direction before bounding off towards the Treeclan border. Every so often she winced a tiny bit at the icy grass, but she told herself to get used to it. 'Going to have to go like this for at least a couple more moons..' she thought with a silent sigh.

Firepaw sprinted after Moonfur, feeling the cold wind of leafbare blowing into her face. She skidded into a stop and her head tilted, puzzled when Moonfur stopped and winced. "Moonfur? What's wrong?" Firepaw stepped into the grass that was icy cold, but sprinted forward anyways. "So what clan border is this?"

(ugh whyy)

Moonfur shook her head and let out a chuckle. "It's nothing, I just have to get used to the cold grass- again." she rolled her eyes sarcastically, her whiskers twitching in amusement. "Anyways! Over here is the Treeclan border- don't cross it, or any other borders, of course- without permission." she said, gesturing to the leafless trees across the invisible territory markings, bringing her tail in front of Firepaw in case she accidentally went too close. "Any questions?" she asked.

Firepaw smiled and sprinted on forward. "The grass is not cold to me!" she teased. When she scented the air, it smelled weird. So many trees on that side, smelled different than Fireclan. "Moonfur, why does it smell weird and different here in Treeclan border?"

(sorry so short... anyways school is more important than a cat site)

[Moonfur]

Moonfur shrugged. "Dunno. Probably because of all those trees." she said, sniffing a bit. "Anything else? If not, we're going to the Iceclan border next."

Firepaw gave a last sniff and heard that they were going to Iceclan border. "Isn't Iceclan cold though?" Firepaw asked. "And how many clans are there?"

Moonfur glanced back at her. "Four. Fireclan, which is us, Treeclan, Iceclan, and Rockclan." she answered. "And yes, I guess it's cold in Iceclan, but so are the rest of the clans." she laughed a bit. "It's just that their territory's got a lot of mountains, and they tend to be a little colder and have snow." the warrior added.

Firepaw frowned when Moonfur told her about the mountains and the coldness. "But can we go to Rockclan first?" she questioned shaking her pelt, "And after looking at the clan borders, what are we going to do?"

[Moonfur]

Moonfur shook her head a bit. "It's the fastest way to go past Iceclan to Rockclan, so it's better like this." she said. "We don't even have to go there, anyway, All we can really do is see it from our side of the border." she added. "Oh- after borders, we'll move on to hunting." The warrior had decided to do it the same order as her own apprentice training. Some of the skills from hunting would help her fighting, anyway.

Firepaw sighed in relief when Moonfur said only up to borders. " To Iceclan! Here we go!" Firepaw shouted running towards the right.

Moonfur smiled a bit as she followed after the young apprentice. "Stop when you get to the scent markers!" she called after Firepaw. After taking a few moments to relax, she picked up her pace, heading for the border.
