-okay, i'll try reply a little quicker.-
mudpaw nodded, "thanks," he mumbled at her statement, swishing his tail as he looked around out the corners of his green eyes, trying not to show any more emotion on his face.
"yeah, sure," he replied to silverwhisker's question, sitting down as he watched her, waiting for an instruction.

Silverwhisker Silverwhisker smiled, then got into a hunting crouch. She moved a bit to demonstrate, "Getting used to this will make your chances of catching prey much greater." The tabby nodded, "Try it for a bit." "Also, make note of your surroundings when trying to catch an animal, hiding and staying downwind always help also. Once you're close enough, pounce, and kill it quickly and cleanly with a snap to the neck or spine." Waiting for a bit, she then blinked, "Once you've gotten used to the crouch, try to find a scent of something nearby."

mudpaw stood up when silverwhisker moved and got into a hunting crouch. he nodded as he observed her movement, flicking his tail quickly once as he continued watching. she then asked him to try the same.
he slowly lowered himself to mimick her position, a little wobbly at first, but once he got his legs into the right places, he was fine. he stayed like that for a minute before lifting his head and sniffing around, trying to find a scent. it took him a while to find one, considering there still wasn't lots of prey about, but eventually he did. he followed the scent.

Silverwhisker Silverwhisker nodded, mentally taking notes of what the apprentice did. Noticing he found a scent, she followed behind him, expecting him to already try to catch prey.

mudpaw began to feel a little awkward when he felt silverwhisker's eyes watching him hunt. it actually irritated him a lot how embarrassed he would have been if he messed up. he felt it strange that he was actually thinking that he might mess up- he never used to be like that. he quickly shook the thoughts from his head and began to continue following the scent, pouncing when he felt he got close enough and trying to land on the creature. he hadn't been able to tell what it was from scent, but he knew it was edible.

Silverwhisker Silverwhisker stayed a safe distance away when he was hunting. She saw as he tried to catch something, and she came over seeing if he succeeded or not.

-i reread through it and yeah a load of the tenses are messed up... pretty much all he did was pounce on the prey with a bit of an insight on his thoughts.-
mudpaw grinned, bending down and lifting up the prey he had caught, holding it up to show silverwhisker with pride. from it's long tail and small body, he now recognised it as a mouse. he began to shake it around, throwing it on the floor. "that good?" he asked, smirking, 'yes, yes it was,' he thought.

Silverwhisker Silverwhisker nodded a few times. She saw how late it was, "Nice catch, That was really good," she mewed with a nod. She gave a chuckle, "Don't try to destroy it before it gets to the pile." The tabby sighed, "Now, what you got to do is practice as much as you can. Let's get back."
