Shiningpaw trie to dodge, but was still hit by the jab. She attacked with her other paw quickly.

 Hazelclaw Hazelclaw was easily hit by her recent move, since he wasn't expecting it. He then attempted to knock her over, then pin her down. The tom wanted to see how she would work against that.

Shiningpaw was knocked over, but rolled out of the way before she got pinned, taking a defensive position rather than attacking again.
