She slid outside the thin layer of bramble and rock surrounding the camp, being especially light on her toes. Her ears were perked and her tail still lashing with something unreadable. He cant like me, surely. Im not pretty or even remotely likeable in a friend way, he must be insane, she thought, her orbs dilating. The large apprentice paused to wait for her companion to follow her. What am I even going to say? She wasn't sure she even wanted this discussion anymore, yet decided it was important to get it out of the way.

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw still didn't know what conversation she was talking about, but he decided not to venture too far. He stayed quiet, and decided to until he time was right to speak. Did I say something wrong?..

The shecat took a long inhale, then turned on him quickly, her ears perked and her face in a smile. "You don't honestly like me, do you?" Her tone was flat and her smile faded a few seconds after she said it, yet she remained unreadable. "I mean, you cant. There's nothing to like."

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw nearly jumped out of his fur when she turned. "I.. uh.." he backed a step. The tabby swallowed, "There.. are many things.. to l-like.." he said, a little hesitantly. What did I say wrong?!...

She drew her tongue across her muzzle, looking entirely unamused. "Thing is, I don't think you really like me. You're confused; you haven't met half the apprentices in the camp- most of which are much more attractive and friendly than me- which is a little disturbing to me," Stormpaw's tail lashed and she took a step closer to him when he stepped back, towering over him. "It's just infuriating because I know you'll find someone better in the long run so what's the point?"

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw blinked, "You.. actually made effort to get to know me.. though.." he mewed, "I think you're great, though.. No one else really wanted to talk to me, it seemed," he said simply. "You seemed.. confident, and smart.."

She stopped for a moment and sighed, then backed down. Her bushy tail curled over her mitts as she sat in front of him, bewildered. "Errmmm," the shecat felt hot beneath her pelt, like she was blushing or something, and her heart rate sped up dramatically.

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw lowered his head, "I'm... sorry," he said, his head turning to look behind him briefly. "I..," he didn't know what else to say, he felt bad and embarrassed.

The shecat shook her head and took a step forward, so they were close to eachother. "Stop, you're so easily put off." She smiled and touched her nose to his in a friendly gesture.

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw blushed, "I guess so..." he said simply. He swallowed as they touched noses, and he gave.. a small smile. He felt fine, or at least better than earlier.

She shoved him playfully, "Relax, I don't bite." The shecat licked her paw pad, then gave her chest fur a few quick laps. "Sooo, were we walking?" Quickly, she got to her paws again, shaking her right hind leg.

Tigerpaw Tigerpaw stood up and nodded, "Wherever you want to go," he commented, before taking a few steps.

The shecat began to walk but kept a slower pace just to keep next to him. She twitched her ear, wondering if there was possibly any prey nearby.

Tigerpaw The apprentice kept walking, just beside Stormpaw. He wondered how she felt or what the thought at the moment,he wondered if anything became awkward from the current day.

She tried not to think about things too much, but, just this once, her mind was swimming. Actually, she was overthinking so much it made her feel physically ill and like passing out. Obviously, she didn't allow this to show, however.
