(I plan on doing one private training for both you and Mothpaw, after that you will train together.)
As evening approached, Redfoot waited near the camp entrance for her newest apprentice, Rosepaw. For a moment, the black she-cat thought about the training over her several previous apprentices. Although she had became very close with them all, she dearly hoped that her newest were nothing like Pincerear, her last apprentice. Redfoot had grown to understand that one, but she was often too headstrong to learn. Redfoot hoped Rosepaw was not similar to her previous apprentice for that reason alone.
Redfoot's ears perked as she recognized the young Rosepaw's scent and heard footsteps. Today, Redfoot would lay down her rules as a mentor, and offer a few words of wisdom to the new apprentice.

"Hi!" she's said as she approached her mentor. She had already grabbed something's to eat as she figured she's should. She's had been told when training would be so she figured it was time and she would just walk up. She was very excited for training, yet still the day had passed by quickly. Unlike other new apprentice she she didn't find the camp cramped, so she wasn't as eager to get out. "Is it time for training right now?" she asked, tilting her head.

"Hmm kind of," Redfoot began. "I want to just go over some basic rules and the jobs that come with being an apprentice. Then we can do some fun stuff after that. Sound good?"
Redfoot studied Rosepaw. As of right now, she didn't appear to be the hardheaded type. She actually seemed eager.

"Sure." she said with a huge smile. She figured that going over rules still was technically training, since it was an important part. She noticed Redfoot's rather intent gaze, but thought nothing of it. The older cat was probably trying to judge how well she would learn.

Redfoot nodded curtly to the apprentice before beginning.
"As an apprentice, it is your job to clean nests. It sucks, it's not fun, but it needs to be done. There's usually a fight over who gets to clean the Leader's Den, but it takes less time to do the Elder's. When it comes time to eat, you get the last pick. Your time will come. You are never to go out into the territory without permission or another Warrior unless told to do so," Redfoot said, making strong eye contact with the young she-cat. "I expect you to keep your den and yourself tidy, and always be on time. Also, I don't want to see any lovey, mushy stuff between you and any other apprentices. You do what you want on your time, but I do not want to see it."
Redfoot was a fairly strict mentor, but definitely not the worst. She was fun, but only if you followed her rules. The senior warrior did not tolerate disrespect.

Rosepaw nodded to everything, wrinkling her nose at the thought of liking another apprentice. After considering for a moment she nodded. "Alright. That's all pretty basic," she considered. To her it was, as it was better than she had expected. She still got to play games at least a little from time to time so all was good.

Redfoot nodded once more, pleased. She had expected some form of retaliation from Rosepaw.
"Now that we got that out of the way, it's time for the fun stuff," Redfoot mewed. Redfoot always preferred teaching battle moves, after all, it was her greatest strength. She was a considerably large cat, tall and lean. She was very strong. Although she was itching to practice battle, hunting seemed to be a more valuable skill for an apprentice to have.
"Show me your hunter's crouch," she ordered. It was unlikely for anyone to make a hunt today, the cold generally kept the prey hidden in their dens.

Rosepaw nodded and crouched down as well as she could although she wasn't very balanced in her stance. She wasn't sure she could move if she wanted to, so she knew she was doing it wrong.

Redfoot laughed softly, and poked the apprentice with her paw in an effort to knock the she-cat over. Redfoot was much larger than Rosepaw, so it wouldn't be too difficult to do.
"Well... I think you know you're a little unbalanced. You're not unathletic,so it's just a lack of experience. You'll get it," she said softly with a small smile.

Rosepaw fell when Redfoot tapped her and laughed. "I guess." she said as she stood up. "Everyone does learn eventually."

"You'll get the hang of it," she said with a chuckle. Redfoot then crouched down, showing her hunter's crouch that had taken moons to perfect. Her weight was mostly on her front feet, and her shoulders were low.
"I'm a lot bigger than you, so it should be easier for you to learn. Try again, but this time, spread your paws evenly. Keep your tail level with your body, and point your shoulders straight forward."

Rosepaw removed the weight from her hind legs as it had mostly been before and followed Redfoots directions as well as coping his crouch as much as she could. Being more of a see and do learner, she found the example very helpful. She managed to get in the stance more cofortable, although she knew it would be a while before she could just drop into the position.

Redfoot nodded with a smile, then looked around.
"Much better! Now, kill that weed," she said, flicking her tail in the direction of a small, lifeless tumbleweed. It might've seemed silly to Rosepaw, but it was the only way to really assess her talents without any live prey.
(Please make your den cleaning thread ASAP and tag me in it so I have the link.)

Rosepaw blinked as she located the weed but didn't question it. She slowly approached, still in the crouch, and pounced. Playing warriors literally all her life, she had a good sense of direction and distance when it came to jumping. (As soon as I can.)

Redfoot smiled, pleased, as her apprentice located and 'killed' the broken tumbleweed.
"Excellent, Rosepaw!" she praised. "Now I want you to close your eyes, and tell me what you smell."
