Snow. It snowed all the time, but that was what it was suppose to do. Tikikit sat inside the nursery, watching the flakes land with fascination. She certainly didn't want one to land on her, but she was still awed by the white powder falling from the sky. Nothing had ever held her gaze for long, but this did. She just stared at it, trying to make sense of the weird event. Nothing she thought of made sense to her, and so she decided she would ask an older cat sometime later.

Tikikit rose and turned around, almost bumping into another cat she hadn't seen before. "Oh sorry!' She said quickly, smiling and taking a step back. She noticed the cat was another kit. "Hey! I'm Tikikit."

<sub>Ebonykit had just finished off a smaller fish, and was relaxing in her nest, her eyes narrowed into slits. She didn't like going outside when it was snowing, because the frigid winds often pushed the tiny she-kit around, sometimes even knocking her over, and Ebonykit didn't like being a laughing stock.

The dark tabby flinched as another kit bumped into her, but she didn't bristle or snap at the other kit, instead, Ebonykit stood up to get a look at her. "Nice to meet you, Tikikit." Ebonykit dipped her head, eyes glowing. "I'm Ebonykit."

Tikikit smiled, glad that the other kit didn't snap at her for bumping into her. "That's a cool name," she said, looking at the kit's extremely green eyes. They were very intriguing. Tikikit soon snapped her gaze away, since it might've looked as if she was staring into Ebonykit's soul, and that's just a little creepy.

Ebonykit nodded in thanks, not being shy and continuing to stare at Tikikit. "I think your name is interesting as well, thank you." She commented, tipping her head to the side. She didn't comment on Tikikit's apparent bashfulness, and instead decided to change the subject.

"Who's your mother? I was adopted." Ebonykit was born to loners that were unable to care for her, though the unusual circumstance didn't bother her, she was still an Iceclan cat.

Tikikit piped up and started talking again when it came to her mother. "My mom's name is Dappleleaf. Who adopted you?" Adoptions always interested her, and she wondered how the cat always felt. She wondered if they felt as if they really ever fit in, though she would never say it out loud.

Ebonykit perked up, a purr rising in her throat. "Dappledleaf adopted me." She said, waving her plumed tail. It was nice to know that she had something in common with Tikikit, they were both raised by the same cat, even if they weren't related by blood.

"What do you want your warrior name to be?" Ebonykit, being a kit, changed the subject as her mind wandered off topic.

Tikikit was excited to hear a purr come from Ebonykit as she said that they had the same mother. It was nice to know they had the same mom. It was as if Ebony was her sister.

At the topic of a warrior name, Tiki had no idea were to chose from. "I think Tikisong is cool, or Tikifeather." She smiled at Ebony. "What about you?"

"Oh, I've thought about it plenty!" Ebonykit's eyes glinted happily, as she was glad to share all of her ideas with someone. "I like your ideas, Tikisong sounds very nice."

"I want to be called Ebonywish. Or perhaps, Ebonydawn. What do you think?" Ebonykit suggested, the words rolling naturally off of her tongue.

Tikikit was impressed by her names. They seeemed to just slide off the tongue, and flow together like a river. "I personally think Ebonydawn is really, really cool." Tiki told her with utmost wonder. After saying the name out loud, she wanted to keep saying it over and over. "Ebonydawn, Ebonydawn, Ebonydawn," she murmured. Then she thought about her own name idea. They were both hoping for pretty spectacular names, not the average Snowtail.

Ebonykit purred, glad that this cat liked her ideas. Though, since she didn't have any actual control over her warrior name, it was just wishful thinking. 

"Hmm.." Her thoughts were drifting away again, as her eyes scanned the nursery. "Do you want to play a game? We could pretend to be leader and deputy, and I'll be Ebonystar." The dark she-kit asserted herself as leader.

Tikikit snuffed out a giggle when Ebonykit posed as a leader. "Okay! What should we do?" She couldn't help the giggle, because Tiki believed leaders were just normal cats that did a great deed and became leader. She knew you could walk up to them and ask them anything. However, she thought being deputy was just as great a privilege.

"Alright then, my deputy! Tikisong.." Ebonykit decided to use one of the names that Tikikit had chosen as her preferred warrior name. "Rockclan is attacking!" She mewed, and darted towards a small stone, kicking it up into the air, and batting it away.

"Come on, we have to defend the nursery!" Ebonykit purred, graceful as she went after tiny rocks and scraps of moss, anything she could get her paws on.

Tikikit tore after her, biting leaves and more random objects, fighting through to protect the nursery. "I'm right behind you," she yowled as she went after another rock. Her determination to win this battle was very apparent, and maybe she was a bit too determined.

Ebonykit was delicately careful, making sure not to go after anything that would be missed, such as the nursery walls, or another cat's nest. She continued to fight make-believe enemies alongside Tikikit, genuinely enjoying herself. Ebonykit knew that she had to take pleasure in these things whileshe still could, as when she was an apprentice, no horseplay would be tolerated.

Tikikit smiled at Ebonykit as she took out an 'enemy.' "I heard wind that they were retreating. Should we chase them out?" She waited for Ebonystar's command before commencing a chase.
