Silverwhisker Silverwhisker was ready for another assessment to do. She hoped more assessments were to come, since they make her feel good. She was ready to test Mudpaw, and watch him become a warrior. She went into the apprentice's thread, wanting the day to be speedy. "Alright! Mudpaw, if you want, get a snack or something." The tabby went toward the pile, and once he would get there she would explain more, "You'll catch three different types of prey from the territory, and track down my scent. Bury the prey where I am, and we will assess your battling." "If you got all that, you can go."

mudpaw sighed with exaggeration when he was awoken by silverwhisker again. could she not just wait for him to wake up by himself? so rude... so rude.
he opened his green eyes and began making his way over to the fresh kill pile, picking up a small-ish rabbit and began eating it as his mentor explained their plans for the day. he nodded and let out a small hum when she finished, eating the final bite of the rabbit and burying the bones. the apprentice stood up, showing that he was ready to leave.

mudpaw nodded, taking in a deep breath of air before releasing it and crouching down, his ears upwards and jaws apart. he looked around with wide eyes, sniffing the air as he tried to get a scent. one of the negatives of having an assessment during leaf-bare was the lack of prey.
after a few minutes of searching and eventually wondering a few fox lengths away from silverwhisker, the apprentice finally picked up the scent of a vole. he grinned at it and crouched even lower, stalking towards it and pouncing. he let out a small 'gnah' noise as he landed on top of the creature and bit into it's neck, picking up the carcass and carrying it towards the warrior with a wide smile.

Silverwhisker Silverwhisker nodded as he left, and immediately began to hunt. She only followed him to a certain distance, before traveling back, as she assumed he took the first prey well. She gave him a smile as he came over, "I'll be waiting out at the battle clearing, just bring two more pieces of prey here, and then come find me." The tabby turned and left as soon as she stopped talking. She planned to check out the prey after they did battling.

mudpaw nodded, "will do," he said, before walking away again and repeating the process he had been through before.
he grunted softly when he couldn't find a scent for a while, despite his best efforts. the apprentice was about to give up and he would have done if it weren't going to affect him becoming a warrior. he shook his head and stood up straight, walking over to somewhere else and trying again, eventually picking up the scent of a mouse. he grinned. the young cat quickly stalked towards his prey and leaped up, catching it, and finally killing it with a swift bite to the neck. muddy purred and picked up the small creature, padding over to the other piece and dropping it next to it.

Silverwhisker Silverwhisker was following her usual path to the clearing she always did battle training. Or most of the time. She got there, then sat down to wait for the budding warrior.

mudpaw smiled softly at the thought that he only had one piece of prey left to catch. he made his way back towards his hunting spot and crouched down again, sniffing the air.
this time, it didn't take too long to scent some prey and track it down- from the scent of it, it was another mouse. he grinned and took one more step before pouncing on the creature silently, once again giving it a swift killing bite and taking it towards the pile where he had left the other two.
"silverwhisker," he called, taking two or three steps in her direction, "finished!"

muddy tensed a little when he saw silverwhisker get into an attacking stance, swiping at his ears. he saw that her claws were sheathed, so decided it was best for him to do so as well, besides, he wanted to pass and 'brutally attacking' his mentor probably wasn't the best way to do so.
he let out an involuntary hiss when his ears were swiped at and, in response, swiped his own paw and aiming it straight towards the tabby warrior's face.
