For once the she-kit was stayed quiet, not even a mew was heard from young Thymekit. Her eyes grew huge when Cloverstar said that RockClan's camp would be destroyed. That's when the young cat spoke. "Are we not gonna survive?" She squeaked slightly frightened. She was only a couple of moons after all.
Then her eyes lit up. "We're going on an adventure? It will be so exciting! I wonder if we'll meet other cats on the way? And there's a gathering tonight. Aww I wish I was an apprentice!" Thymekit blurted out.

"I see." Cloverstar frowned to herself. Although she wasn't fond of the idea of actually going to the Gathering and having to face new leaders, whom she knew nothing about but the fact they'd replaced the old ones she'd known, she thought that getting the announcement of RockClan's move over and done with so that they could focus on rebuilding seemed best.
"If they only hear about our move once it's already done, I imagine there'll be questions and suspicions," she replied curtly. "I think it's best to get it out of the way first so that we can focus on remaking our camp without worry of the other Clans' actions."
With a prick of her ear, she heard some kit's interjection about leaving the other clans and a warrior—Dapplecloud, wasn't it?—having her say as well. Cloverstar paused before she went on. "That's another reason our move must be announced at the Gathering," she answered. "The new territory borders TreeClan and IceClan. I expect that it'd be significantly easier to deal with them if they know beforehand that we're moving in near them."
She flicked her tail back and forth as she spoke, a nervous tic she'd picked up some time ago. "I'll leave the Gathering early," she added in response to Redfern. "I would prefer to go alone so that all the warriors can participate in preparations here, but a few who wish to come can join me."
Cloverstar doubted anyone would actually want to come along with her now that they knew they had to ready their clan for leaving to safety, but it was something to offer regardless.

Dapplecloud I listened carefully, nodding in agreement at Cloverstar's words. It would be a shock, or more likely, suspicious, if RockClan suddenly moved to a separate area, closer to IceClan and TreeClan. However, my ears pricked with I heard she would want to go to the Gathering alone. Though RockClan did not have many warriors to prepare for the coming disaster, the rest of RockClan was not so large, and sending the leader from the territory alone could cause complications. I spoke up: "If you don't mind, Cloverstar, I might request to come with you, unless you want me to stay and prepare the others to leave."

Nightsong had silently joined the crowd as it gathered, listening to the conversation while doubt plagued her own mind. Leave the camp? Looking up at the cliffs now, as she had for so many seasons, they seemed so stable and unmoving but...she believed CloudClan. Even if she didn't, though, it was clear the Cloverstar did, and it wasn't her place to argue.
RockClan was her home. Of course she was reluctant to leave the camp, but the camp hardly mattered to her as much as the cats in it did.
And despite the uncertainty still lingering in her mind, she stepped forward with Dapplecloud after Cloverstar finished speaking. It seemed like somewhat of a bad idea to leave the leader of the clan trekking through new territory alone. Besides- after a while of having done that already, it seemed to Nightsong that Cloverstar could use a few friendly faces. "I would like to come, too," she meowed, her voice sounding more confident than she felt, then hastily added, "-that is, if you'll let me. I'll stay if it's necessary of course, but I'd just rather you not go out there alone."

Foxtwist looked at the returning leader, her green gaze cold. She had abandoned them, why should they trust her? Hawkstar never would've let something like this happen, never would've left them. Redfern had been there, if not for her, RockClan would already be in ashed. She wished Redfern would stand up for herself.
The ginger she-cat listened silently, looking around for her kits. Of course, they were the loudest bunch in the Clan. She looked down at them with a strict glance, indicating that it was time for the adults to speak. There were so many questions to ask. She had young kits, how would they survive such a move? She thought about her apprentice, Icepaw. He was hardly brave enough to explore the territory, let alone journey to an unfamiliar land.
She looked directly at Cloverstar through narrowed eyes. She no longer trusted this cat.
"Best not let her go alone. After all, it might be moons before she returns again," Foxtwist said, her chin raised.

Icepaw slumped against Clove , eyes still plastered wide. He was breathing so fast one would have suspected he'd just run two laps around the edge of RockClan territory at full speed. Whimpering, the young tom tried in vein to slow down his rapid breaths. His head started to throb as well, and his pelt was getting hot and sticky with sweat. This is it, he thought, closing his eyes tight and trying hard to match his breath with the warrior next to him, I'm going to breath up all the oxygen around me and then they'll be no more and I'll have killed my whole clan. He wanted to wail, but was unable to do anything but breath in and out at an unhealthy pace.

She watched as he started to as she would describe it hyperventilate. "Deep breaths" she murmured to the young tom. She a peoples person her unbringing was the cause of that, but she had to try. At least try ot fit into the strange clan. "Cmon" she nudged him gentaly noting it would be best for him to get away from all the others he seemed to be freaking out and space would help.
