Crowkit seemed almost impatient during that pause of Squirrelkit's. Then he hummed, at hearing Bumblepaw's appearance. "I'll have to keep an eye out for him. He sounds like fun..." He was fairly certain at this point, Squirrelkit knew what fun meant coming from his mouth.
He tilted his head. "... Hm. I never thought about testing on myself before." He replied in response to Squirrelkit's threat to bite him. He'd always thought to experiment on others, largely due to the disconnect between him and most kittens that he saw. He never saw much of a point analyzing his strange behavior, because it was just... Him. He wanted to know why other cats did things like... Be polite. Nice. It baffled him, honestly.
Then the threat turned out to be false. "Can you bite me anyways? I'm curious."

"Well, I don't want to hurt you.." Squirrelkit's eyes glimmered with interest; she had never had a cat volunteer to be hurt by her before. It was extremely intriguing, and who was she to say no to such a polite offer. "But since you asked."
Squirrelkit crouched down, her tail tip twitching, and then deftly leaped forwards with her fangs bared, aiming to bite down on the dark tom's ear. She knew that he could be tricky, and was prepared for him to try to turn the tables and do something to her.

Crowkit tilted his head. "If you don't want to... Then what's that shine I see in your eye?" He asked. Honestly, it seemed more like Squirrelkit had wanted to put a front of being the better cat than he was. Still... The she-kit didn't disappoint.
He didn't even move as suddenly he felt pain for the first time, in his ear. With her teeth clamped down on his ear, his eyes shot open, wide. He gasped, the sensation being unlike anything he'd felt before. It felt so... There compared to every other feeling he had. His morbid curiosity and frustration had nothing on this sharpness. Then he smiled, even giggled a little. "S-So that's pain? It feels so real...."

Squirrelkit let go when Crowkit started talking, forcing down the urge to tear his ear off. It would be so easy, and she really liked the taste of his blood in her mouth. It made her feel powerful. But Crowkit hadn't done anything to her, and Squirrelkit didn't like violence, she liked doing whatever she had to do to get what she wanted.
"You're odd." Squirrelkit mewed, not shy about bluntly stating her feelings on the tom. It wasn't an insult, though, and Squirrelkit was pretty sure that he would agree with her. "What's your name, anyways?" It was impolite to bite a cat when you hardly knew them, after all.

Crowkit still had a bit of his crazed smile on his face, correcting his posture when Squirrelkit let go of his ear. Some of the blood was flicked from his ear, spattering on the ground. He reached up to touch the bleeding ear, and brought his paw down. "Huh. So blood really is red, huh?" He murmured to himself.
Then he shrugged at Squirrelkit. "Yeah. I'm pretty sure I am." Feeling not offended in the least, since he was aware it was a fact. If you placed kits on an average, he was most certainly an outlier. He didn't mind it. "Crowkit." He replied, seeing no problem with giving his name.

"Yeah, haven't you ever gotten a thorn stuck in your paw?" Squirrelkit was quite rambunctious, and often scratched herself on brambles or nettle, making her no stranger to pain. She flicked an ear, blinking at the darker kit. "I'm Squirrelkit."
Her eyes grew a sudden glint to them, and her voice grew quite a bit more intense. "You wanna analyze cats, huh? Have you noticed any differences between clan-born cats and rogues? If you don't, that could be pretty helpful to Arrowstar, you'd be able to prove that TreeClan should accept everyone." Personally, Squirrelkit didn't care either way, but she knew which side gave her a better chance at gaining power.

Crowkit shook his head. "No. Never." He answered. He often filled his days with talking to others... Biting others... He'd never been hurt himself. His life up until now had been painless. He felt like he'd been missing out.
He hummed in response. "Never talked to someone whose more rogue than clan cat yet. I'm sure it will be interesting." He told her. "There's likely differences in mindset. You know, teamwork versus isolationism." It made sense to Crowkit. He was fairly certain Squirrelkit wanted this information out of him for her gain and the gain of the rebels most likely... But he didn't really care all too much if his findings were used for less than ethical reasons. In fact, he didn't have much of a concept of ethics.

Squirrelkit was a very, very good liar, and she had not done much to show that she was on either side of the divide. It was easy, all she had to do was pretend to think like a different cat. The rogue-lovers had made their points and ideas clear, so mimicking them wasn't a problem, and the lies rolled off her tongue as naturally as if she believed them. "Then you should try doing that."
"But.." Squirrelkit frowned, concerned. "Since you're just a kit, I don't know if any cat will take you seriously. You'll have to be at least an apprentice, and prove yourself somehow."

Crowkit's eyes glittered. "I think I will." He purred in response. With such a controversial topic... He figured it'd be easier than normal to get his fix. He craved information of any sort, really.
Then he gave Squirrelkit a look. "... I can always pretend to be an overly curious, innocent kitten while I interrogate them." He pointed out. He figured it would work... Probably. Amp up the curiosity, and just... Pretend he was a normal cat. He'd seen the way his eyes sparkled in interest differed than how it appeared on normal cats. The normal cats that actually cared about the feelings of others for whatever reasons.

"I don't really care how you do it. I'm just interested in the results, like you." Squirrelkit mewed, her tone quite light and friendly for her words. Crowkit seemed to be shaping up to make a good ally, and if he could help her cause, then all the better. Though, the tom seemed intent on whatever he pleased, and Squirrelkit didn't want to constantly work to keep him on her side, and even then, she wouldn't know if he could be trusted.
Squirrelkit shrugged. "Have you ever tried to be a normal kit? You just have to care about other cats, it comes naturally. To me, at least." She spoke as if she couldn't imagine what Crowkit felt like.
