Snakekit growled at her. "Well, at least I'm smart enough to know that spiders are dangerous!" He bared his teeth. "I should have let it bite you!" He turned his back to her so he wouldn't see her reaction.

Beetlekit lowered her head, tail drooping. She felt awful, she hadn't meant to make him so angry. "I'm sorry for..." she trailed off, unsure. "Sorry." She swallowed thickly, keeping her ears plastered down on her head.

Snakekit whipped around quickly. He couldn't stop himself from laughing. "Ha! Got you!" He hoped he had proven himself to her. Her insults had meant nothing. He just loved pulling cat's tails.

Beetlekit wrinkled her nose, expression unreadable. "That wasn't funny." Her tail flicked, eyebrows scrunching together. She was really worried she had hurt his feelings.
