The sun was setting, and Loki was wondering what he was doing so close to the clan borders. He didn't enjoy clans, not since his own clan fell beneath his feet. He scowled at the ground in front of him. It wasn't his fault, he was suppose to be a great ruler. No, it was his pathetic brother, the perfect child, the first born.
Loki sat down with a horrible look upon his face. It cleared quickly, however, when he thought of all that had happened. It wasn't his brother to brought it upon them, and it wasn't Loki's fault either. It seemed as if it simply wasn't meant to be.
Finally, Loki got up and began walking again, and before long, he noticed he was right on the edge of the Fireclan border, from the scent of it. He vowed he would never get this close to a clan ever again, and yet, here he was. His green gaze pierced the slowly fading light, and he scanned the area. If ever he was to join a clan, he guessed he would fit in best with Fireclan. At least, that's what he was told. But he had no intentions of joining a clan, ever. He hadn't been in one for a long, long time, and even then, his home was far from where he was now.
Loki'sears perked and he swiveled his head in the direction of a twig cracking. He didn't spot anything, but he could hear nearly silent pawsteps. He focused his gaze clearly on the area. In the gray light, his dark pelt nearly blended in, but not enough. He knew he could still be seen, so he didn't try to hide.

Swanfrost headed out into the territory, her mind clouded. She had too many things to think about, and she needed to be out alone. Maybe she had dug herself too deep. Willowpaw was a great friend, and so was Brightwing... but they hated each other. What would they do if they found out? Did they already know? Maybe she was just stressing herself out, they probably wouldn't care, right? And Thunderblaze... He was her first friend, and now she felt like he was a complete stranger.
Swanfrost had barely even realized she was heading towards the border. Even if she did know, she probably wouldn't care. Despite the fact she was lost in thought her pawsteps were quiet, as always. She didn't like tromping around the territory, it scared off any nearby prey, even though she wasn't hunting she still tried to be careful not to chase them off.
Swanfrost was snapped back into reality when a twig broke under her paw. She tended as the scent of a loner flooded into her nostrils, the hair on her spine raising. If she hadn't scented him, she probably would have rolled straight across the border. She knew that her pelt would easily be seen, so she simply stepped closer, squinting slightly at him. "Uhh, hello..," she trailed off, her claws digging into the ground nervously. She had never met an outsider before. It was kind of... exciting.

The dark had rolled in, and Loki wondered if the only thing she could see of him now, was his glowing, green eyes. He peered at her, she seemed to be on edge, as he would expect from any clan cat. Then she said hello. She seemed to be interested, and she didn't look as if she was going to attack.
Maybe Loki should play with her for a bit, as he was good at that kind of thing. The act would come off sooner or later, and she'd notice he wasn't this all around monster. But for now, he wondered how she would respond.
He slid forward, the nearly white cat was a little ways off. "What are you doing away from you camp this late?" he asked, his voice sounding sinister. He smiled, not a kind one, however. Loki hoped she would stick around. Surely he wasn't that scary.

Swanfrost hissed softly. She could see his over all shape, though mostly just his eyes. She walked forward cockily, standing straight at the line that separated them from each other. It didn't occur to her that he may not respect it. "That's none of your business." She retorted, her tail swishing slightly. It wasn't a friendly display, but not exactly a hostile one either. "The more important question is what are you doing here?" She pressed, curiosity glinting in her eyes. He seemed sinister, but it only made her even more thrilled. She had never met a cat over the border, let alone a dangerous one.

Loki smiled even more evilly. He wasn't exactly an evil cat, but at least the other cat was playing his game. Now, he just had to keep his act up for a while longer. Now, he wondered how she would react when he dropped the act. His mind ventured back to Sky, and how she had kept up a psychotic act. She was an interesting cat.
"Mmm, you could say I was looking for someone," he said. Maybe he should add that he was hunting someone, just to see how she would take that. For some reason, Loki was enjoying acting a bit evil.

"Who?" Swanfrost pressed, her ears perked. Perhaps another creepy cat would suddenly pounce out from behind him. She shuddered slightly at the thought, looking behind him. Not that it made much of a difference, it was too dark to see much. Perhaps he was trying to find someone else in Fireclan. A forbidden love? Nah, she thought that was too far fetch. Although, something about the way he acted didn't seem right... almost like he was trying too hard. She shook the thought away.

((i guessed that))
Loki gave her a menacing look. Now, this might actually be him. He didn't have to act to be menacing, and he didn't have to act to at least make her a bit afraid. "I don't think that concerns you," he said.
He had been feared in his old clan, even when he didn't exactly want to be. His father feared he would bring the clan down if he lead, and so he chose his brother instead of him. His brother was an arrogant fool, and anyone could see that, but not their father. Loki had nearly wanted to kill his brother at that moment, and then his father banished him. Oh how that had made Loki happy. The only thing standing in his way was his old father, and his father was nearly dead, worn out by the pressure and of Loki's brother's faults. It was Loki who could lead without any boundaries. But his stupid brother always ruined everything...
At these thoughts, Loki eyes burned into the ground he was staring at. He might've been full of hate, but he knew how to control it. If someone ever made him lose his head, he would probably kill a few cats.
That was a bad thought.

Swanfrost wasn't intimidated in the slightest. Call it stupidity, but it took a lot more then a few glares to scare her. She had a whole clan behind her, and she was fast, even for a Fireclanner. Besides, Swanfrost was a decent fighter, and could certainly hold her own in a battle. "Actually, it kind of is." She snorted, sitting down, making sure to keep her guard up encase he suddenly decided to attack her. "What's your name anyway?" She changed the subject, wanting to know more about him. After all, she hadn't always been a clan cat. It was kind of weird, thinking how her life could have turned out if she was turned away by Fireclan.

"Loki," he said, not really caring. He was surprised to see her sit, yet he kept standing. It was obvious she wasn't scared of him, at least not yet. He didn't care too much that she wasn't scared. He was actually kind of glad she stayed.
But he used to be feared. He wondered what he had done back then to make his clan so afraid. Oh, of course, he was so close to killing his brother, the strongest warrior in the clan. Loki didn't want to kill him, though.

"Loki." Swanfrost tested the name out, letting it roll off her tongue. It sounded odd, coming from her mouth. "That's weird. What does it mean?" She questioned, doubtful that he would be able to answer. She was certain that his parents wouldn't have told him the meaning, that would just be weird.

It was weird to hear another cat say his name, other than his sister. Not many cats used it, and it was even weirder for her to ask him what it meant.
"I was always called a trickster by my parents, and so I guess it means something around there," he said, not really excited to talk about himself. His face still had a scowl on it.
"And who are you?"

"Jeez, you're certainly not a very happy camper." Swanfrost grinned, being her ususal annoying self. He honestly reminded her of herself, since usually she was wearing the same scowl while being spoken to. "I'm Swanfrost." She wrapped her thin tail tightly around her paws. She was positive that if it wasn't so dark he would be making fun of her odd appearance.

"If you'd been what I've gone through, I might be saying the same to you," Loki said. Finally, he sat down. He certainly wasn't too happy, having his clan taken from him and everyone in it always afraid of him.
He looked up at her when she said her name. It was, different, he supposed, but probably not when it came to clan cats. Their names were always weird, like she didn't look like a frosty swan in anyway. Well, she was white. That was a start.

"Oh? And what have you gone through?" Her eyes shone. She doubted it would be that bad, and she had a feeling he wouldn't even tell her in the first place, but... you can't blame a cat for trying. After all, he was still here, talking. If he didn't want to talk, he wouldn't still be here, right?

Loki frowned. "I don't think that's any of your concern, either," he said. His life story wasn't one he particularly liked to share all that often. Besides, she wouldn't understand unless it happened to her.
She probably didn't have an ignorant brother and two dead parents, a clan that was suppose to belong to you, and a sister who warned you that if he ever returned, they would kill you.
