Loki smiled. How cute. He could remember when he was that young, his whole life spread out on a sheet of paper in front of him. He could be anyone he wanted to be, but then his brother took his spotlight, and he was cast in a shadow. His dreams slowly faded, and he knew that if he wanted to achive them, he would have to do something. So he did something, and look where he wound up.

    Toby held his breath as the other feline didn't talk. He decided it was safe to also stay silent, in case he said something wrong. He slowly sat down, and curled his tail over his paws.

Loki felt slightly hurt as the young tom lowered his head as if he was ashamed. He shook his head, maybe he should try being kinder? He thought he was being pretty kind right now.

"Why?" he asked. He meant, 'why lower your head? Why look as if you are ashamed of your own name?' but he couldn't say that. He wondered if Toby would understand. He wasn't responding to what the tom said, but what he didn't say.
