grayfang ran, his sore paws seemingly bearing the weight of the world. he'd been running a while now, and only now had he seen a place to stop.
caves.
there were many, he could see them all below him as he stood on a ledge. maybe he could hide out here for a while, but he doubted it. they were all probably taken by predators and other rogues and loners.
he jumped down, slowly sliding down a smooth rock. he walked until he found a cave with no scents of sorts, an emptied one. he padded in, the room growing darker as he neared the ewnd.
soon, his aching paws felt cooled; and looking down upon them he realized they were enveloped in a puddle of water. focusing his eyes on what lay ahead of him, he saw an even bigger pool of water. oh, how we wondered no cat nor animal had taken this cave. it was beautiful. he was now at the very end of the cave, a huge pool of water at the edge. he heard a trickling, and he soon spotted water flowing through a hole in the wall, creating a waterfall. above him, was a hole, and through it he could see the moon, which illuminated the whole room. he must've been running a long while, for the moon to almost be directly above him.
there were various different ledges and rocks, some ledges were high, and if he stood on them he'd touch the top of the cave. others were low, and in various placing all over. there were huge rocks that were smooth and glossy, and would be a nice place to sleep.
he blinked slowly, suddenly struggling to keep his eyes open. he'd hasn't had good sleep in ages, nor since he saw ravenblaze again.
he smiled at the thought of his brother, although gray was happy to see him, and raven did smile a bit at him; gray could tell he was still angry at him for tricking him all those moons ago.
whatever he did to wrong his brother, however he hurt him, gray prayed raven would forgive him.
gray walked over to the pool, bending down to drink the water. its coolness numbed him, it numbed all the bad feelings gray had at the moment. it was so fresh, delicious. the throbbing that had begun to take place in his head had stopped, his cracked and dry throat feeling satisfied.
he later perched on a rock, not exactly under the hole in the roof, but still so he could see the moon. his back was facing towards the end of the cave, and his face towards the entrance. he wasn't worried about anyone entering through the other holes, but this way, he could keep an eye on the entrance and be prepared for possible attacks; if indeed some rogue or other creature decided to make this place their home.
home.
home, he sighed. a place that seemed so distant now.
((Loki , sorry this sucks and is thrown all over the place and super long ouo))

T he sun started to set, and the stars started to pop out. Loki had been following Grayfang at a distance for a long while, and he was wondering if Gray knew where he was going. Gray was, in fact, running towards the clan territories. At the moment, they were on the other side of the Canyon, but it wouldn't be long until they made it there. Loki wondered what was going on inside his brother's head. Loki made sure to keep a good distance away from the other cat, watching as he scanned the canyon. Loki guessed he was trying to figure out a way across, and maybe, for whatever reason, Grayfang was going to join a clan. Loki serenely hoped he wouldn't, the clans were so boring, and so far away. That also meant he wouldn't be able to spend time with his brother, and the cat had just showed up, today. The black tom quickly padded to the edge of the rock and Gray disappeared over the ledge. He watched as his brother slowly descended to the floor of the canyon, then looked around and padded into a cave. Loki stared in surprise, and regretted not catching him before he went in. Last time he went into those caves was with Sky, and he winced as he remembered what happened. Without really thinking, he looked down at his shoulder, licked it once, and dove over the ledge, gliding down the same way Grayfang did, but in a quieter manner. The moon was high overhead when Loki reached the bottom, and the shadows hid his pure black pelt perfectly. He thanked Odin for being dark furred, and not white like the moonlight above him. On silent paws, he padded forward into the cave, and his sharp ears picked up the sound of moving water. He stuck to the walls, out of the light. He didn't want to be seen for some reason, but either way, there was a ton of moonlight in the cave. Loki hopped he wasn't visible. ((forgive my reference XD))

gray had started to doze off, the moon slowly leaving his sight. the sky was midnight velvet, the stars looking like dandelion flowers scattered about.
he sat up abruptly when a breeze hit him, carrying the scent of clovers. there was only one cat he knew that smelled like that, and he didn't know how to react.
it had been so long, he didn't blame his brother if he'd treat gray like a stranger. that's all he was anyway, he left him. in his pride ad arrogance, he left his family behind.
he didn't bother trying to be prepared in case his brother truly lost his mind and try to attack him. he was sure he wouldn't, even if he did; gray deserved it.
he simply shook his head, getting rid of all the tiredness and becoming fulling aware of his surroundings.
he couldn't see his brother, although that was no surprise. his fur was dark as night, perhaps even darker. and he was very stealthy, probably the only cat that could sneak up on him.
"brother." gray called out, not as a question or a welcoming; but simply a statement that needed to be said.
((excuse the dandelions, clovers, and all that nonsense I think gray is starting to hallucinate lol. ODIN xD))

L oki slowly stepped out from the shadows, letting the moonlight slip onto his fur, starting with his paw, then landing on his face, until his full form could be seen. He slipped his eyes away from his brother onto the rippling water, watching as it eddied and moved freely. His face held no expression, and he wondered what his brother was thinking at that moment. Suddenly, he wondered why he was there, then remembered. He had wanted to apologize for Cali's reaction, but why apologize when it wasn't his fault? Besides, he had warned her, and she never listened to him. At least he listened to his older siblings, a little. Grayfang had never really ordered him around, though. Mostly, the older cat asked for his help a lot. "Grayfang..." he started, wondering what to say. He ended up smiling after saying the cat's name, finding it amusing for some reason. "That's not the name of a loner." (( ahh that majestic appearance ))

grayfang watched the darkness, when suddenly, it flooded the moonlight; and his brother appeared. gray watched raven as the cats green eyes flicked to the water, a silence filing the room.
it was a comfortable silence though, yet grayfang had so much to tell raven, so much. he couldn't wait to share all that he'd found with his brother, but now clearly wasn't the time.
grayfang carefully watched raven's movements, calculating and trying to figure out his mood. he usually could tell very fast, but maybe raven had changed. maybe he was better at hiding emotions, or at least, his daily emotions.
raven started to speak first, a smile starting to form on his muzzle.
"my name?" gray asked, a confused look settling in his eyes; then one of slight understanding. he was a loner now. not a warrior of Asgard, but a loner. he hated that.
maybe it would be good for gray, a new name. a new place. a fresh start. he looked quizzically at his brother, "what sort of name do you propose?" he asked, wondering if raven had changed his own name as well.
((majestic indeed... and burdened with glorious purpose... o3o))

L oki sighed, maybe he shouldn't have said anything. He flicked his eyes back to meet his brother's, and tried to explain in the shortest sentence he could muster. "It doesn't matter, really," he said shortly. He actually liked that his brother kept his old name. It felt like he had brought a sense of home back to Loki, and it filled him with at least a little bit of joy in the dark world he lived in. Oh, their home was always so bright. Every cat's coat colors matched that of the sun, and everything shone like the many stars. Even at night, it seemed as if things were glowing. And then there was Loki, he was just black. A black shadow, floating throughout the glorious home of Sunclan. At that thought, he amused himself. That name was ever so true. (( MEHHH YESSS XDD you just made me smile ;3 ))

gray rolled his eyes, resisting the urge to yell in frustration. he sighed, "ravenblaze just-"
he erased the thought. if raven thought grayfang should change his name, that meant he had changed his own name as well. he thought of all their old nicknames, smiling as he remembered his own, thor; a smile appearing on his face.
Loki. he remembered, looking back towards his brother. "Loki?" he asked, assuming that was his new name. it fit Loki, the name better than ravenblaze. gray almost laughed at thor, it was weird. it didn't really fit him, but it made the memories of his childhood sweep into his mind. when gray and loki were more than brothers, but the bestest of friends.
no matter the awkwardness of the name, he thought he'd grow into it. perhaps it wasn't so good, going around calling himself grayfang; as he was sure it would anger and confuse both clan Cates and loners. but gray alone, he didn't like. it took the purpose out of the name.
"thor." he meowed hesitantly, his ears twitching at the sound of it being spoken after so long. he looked towards his brother, the question big in his eyes.
thor... what about that?
((c; also.. Gray needs to learn to use his words better xD))

L oki smiled as his hrother remembered his old nickname. Of course he would guess his new name easily. "It fits." Their parents had come up with some odd nicknames for them, but it seemed as if nicknames would turn to real names, and their real names would fade into the past.

He nodded, feeling a strange attachment to his new name. "Yeah." He murmured.
Thor looked over to Loki, a new light in his eyes. How had they ended up in the same place? How was he even able to find Loki? He had no idea, but was proud that he found the way.
He wondered what his brother saw when coming here, if he joined any of these clans, though he threw the idea out of his head quickly.
now thor wondered who loki has met while living here. he's sure to made some friends. a devilish look appeared on his face, a wide grin directed towards Loki.
"any cats you've met and particularly enjoy? Brother?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
((Sorry this is just ew deserves all the cringe this is a sucky post))

I f Loki's face could turn red, it would've. He was especially glad it was darker, even though moonlight fell through the hole in the ceiling, flooding the floor with eerie light. He sat down casually, trying to wipe any strange expressions from his face. "Not really, why do you ask?" That wasn't really a lie, but it was. He had met two cats in his time here that shared his same spirited personality, and he liked hanging around them, even if he thought one was just using him to cure her boredom for the time being.

thor laughed, then stood up. "Loki, you've got to get a mate sometime. I'm surprised the girls that meet you don't instantly fall in love; you're quite the one with good looks."
he narrowed his eyes, a fake scolding tone in his voice, "hope you aren't scaring them away, what with your random bursts of anger, and constant frowning. oh gods, you even scared the flowers back home. You neared them and they'd wilt, right on spot."

L oki shrugged, a sarcastic tone in his voice. "Its not my fault those flowers didn't like me." At his earlier comment, he smiled. Sure, he could ask a cat to be his mate and they would probably die on the spot, what with his charm and everything, but he would rather not. At least, not yet. "Yeah. Well, those ladies can wait," he said. "What about you? You must've found someone, unless your as antisocial as I thought." His tone was laced with sarcasm. His brother wasn't at all antisocial, in fact, he was pretty talkative. Maybe too talkative.

thor shrugged. "the cats are different out here."
it was true, for they were nothing like the cats at home. once he got out of range of anyone who knew of Asgard, they didn't fall to the ground and beg thor to mate them. He still has his usual charm and good-looks, but no one fell in love with him instantly. no one fell in love with him because of his rankings, because he was to be leader of Asgard. he had to work for attention, it made things more interesting. thor like it better this way.
"I haven't really run into anyone. it feels like an empty place. the clans are hidden pretty well. I did meet an apprentice though, I call her blue. She's a rockclanner." he tilted his head. "don't really know what to think of her." he said, his accent thick.

L oki nodded, feeling the same way as his brother. Cats were different, maybe because they didn't know who the two brothers were. "Oh, Rockclan. I met a cat there, she called herself Silentdust." Loki didn't get to know her very well, and he didn't really care either. She was a little bitter, but otherwise, he felt a little sorry for her. He would never say he disliked her, just that he didn't know her. "I've met a few stubborn-headed Fireclanners, two Treeclanners, and one Iceclanner. I've also met nearly all the rogues and a few Deathclanners." The truth was, Loki had been all over, meeting all kinds of cats. But all of them blended into the background, at least, all but two. "Most of them are pretty boring, besides a Treeclanner and a Deathclanner." The truth was, Loki knew these two cats were different, and it bothered him. Besides his family, they were the only cats he really knew.

thor shrugged, getting bored. Dreading the conversation that was bound to come up sometime.
"so." he started, not knowing where to continue.
