flovios yawned as he lay in the plains, a mouse in front of his face that he had recently caught. the young tom wasn't hungry enough to eat it then, but he liked having it there as almost a reminder that he was well off and was managing at surviving on his own. it was always nice knowing he could fend for himself, even if he didn't quite know why he felt that way.

as the young cat was about to fall asleep, his half-closed eyes suddenly opened wide at the sound of a noise. pawsteps. flovios quickly lifted his head off of the ground and glared around at his surroundings, "show yourself," he said loudly, voice demanding.

oki had been enjoying a stroll through the plains, and with not much to fear, if anything, he didn't always have to keep his posts completely silent. Though, he slightly regretted not being quieter as an unfamiliar cat's voice ran out, breaking the stillness. He padded out from the grass and stood a few tail lengths away, looking down his muzzle at the cat laying below him.

"If you ever want to stay alive, you shouldn't announce yourself, asking for someone to murder you," Loki said, a look of slightly disappointment on his face, but it was also mixed with amusement. He stood tall, like he always did, and his green eyes shone bright. He swayed his tail slowly behind him.

flovios raised his brows, replying, "pfft, i'm sure i could fight off whoever wanted to murder me," he stood up, although he still had to look up at the other as he was still quite a bit shorter, "besides, you would've scented me anyway," he remarked, stepping a few steps towards the green-eyed feline in front of him.

"who are you anyway?" he asked, lashing his tail as he waited for an answer.

oki gave a slightly mischievous grin, before looking temporarily down at his paws. "My apologies," he started, then met the other cat's blue gaze once again. "I'm Loki." He saw no reason to hide his name as other cats did. In fact, he found it quite stupid to do so.

flovios nodded and stepped even closer, circling loki once so he could get a better look at him before standing in front of him again and smiling slightly, "well, loki, i guess it's been pleasant meeting you," he said, a teasing tone in his voice at the word 'guess'. "i'm flovios," the young cat introduced himself.

oki nodded, storing the name with the face in his brain for later. "Where did you come from?" he asked. He continued to meet new cats almost every day, and it seemed strange to him that they randomly seemed to appear from thin air. But then again, why would that be strange? He used to make things appear from thin air, but those days were long behind him.

flovios shrugged, hesitating a little bit when loki asked him where he had come from- should he tell him that he was born in twolegplace? surely there wasn't no actual harm in that, but he still didn't want a bad reputation from it.

"umm..." he started, "well, i live in the plains if that's what you meant, but i tend to wander," he said, "yourself?"

oki gave a throughly amused smile, but he was more laughing at himself than the cat in front of him. If he started talking about where he came from, the cat would probably sprint away before he got one word into the story. "I tend to wander as well, I wasn't born around here," he said. He couldn't even remember his birth, it was so long ago. He remembered apprenticeship quite well, though, even though it was many, many, many moons ago.

flo flinched a little at loki's laugh, but tried to make it subtle. what if he had noticed that he had avoided the question. "that's pretty cool," he smiled, sitting down and wrapping his tail around his soft paws, "we have more in common than i would have first thought," he stated, beginning to glance around at their surroundings, blinking his still slightly tired eyes.

oki wanted to say, 'i am nothing like you,' but that would be extremely rude, so he held his tongue. Besides, he had barely gotten to know the cat. He didn't know if the tom was from some far away land, like himself, or the clans, or anything of the sorts. He wouldn't be quick to judge, but somehow, he always was. "Yes, we do," Loki ended up saying.

flovios let out a small 'mrrow' noise, continuing to look around and quickly checking behind him to make sure nobody had come by and taken his prey from earlier. "so how is life anyway?" the blue cat asked, "what do you enjoy doing, who're your friends?" he continued, purring softly.

oki answered his questions. "It's nice, could be better," then went on. "What I used to like doing, I can't do anymore, and I don't have a lot of friends." He had a way to get around nearly all the questions, then looked at Flovios as if he was asking them back.

flo nodded in agreement at loki's response to his first question, the blue cat could relate in a way. "and what could those things be?" he asked with confusion, furrowing his brow before shaking his head quickly and deciding to answer the questions himself. i guess i just enjoy nature and stuff, y'know just travelling... and i spend most of my time with my sibling, but they're off doing stuff so..." he trailed off.

oki nodded. "I like my siblings, as well."
