(I decided to start up a thread to try and regain activity)
Cinderflame trotted out of camp, her white-tipped tail trailing behind her as she walked towards the hollow rock. It was where she and Peachglow had chatted for a while but the deputy hadn't really explored the place by herself yet. The black feline sat down and scanned her surroundings, just in case there was any prey around.
Cinderflame tasted the air. She sighed in relief. The deputy wanted some time to think, wanted some time to enjoy the land around her without having to worry all the time.

Snowwhisper had made sure the den was taken care of as she always did before she headed out. She had finally finished collecting herbs, then recollecting them as a kit messed up some of the supplies, so she had some free time. Whether she would hunt or work on fighting, she didn't know. Sure she was a medicine cat, but she used to be a loner. She liked to hunt, and if the clan was under attack and she had to protect sick cats, she'd be ready with more than the nessisary basics for a medicine cat. She eventually decided to work on her fighting skills just as she arrived at Hollow Rock. She frowned as she picked up the scent of another cat, but she smiled anyway, as she spotted the other cat, recognizing the deputy quickly. "Cinderflame." she greeted.

Cinder's ears suddenly pricked up when she heard the voice of another cat. The deputy spun around, looking at the she-cat. It was Snowwhisper, the IceClan medicine cat. Cinderflame had never personally talked to the medicine cat before but the black-furred feline wanted to know what she was like. The deputy dipped her head. "Greetings Snowwhisper." The deputy spoke, her tone respectful.
Cinderflame felt awkward while in conversations but fierce in arguements. She wondered if Snowwhisper would end up being a friend or maybe even an enemy. "Are you out collecting herbs, I could get an apprentice to help if you need some extra paws."

Snowwhisper shook her head. "No, acctually. I finished with all that and Frostbreeze is watching the den so I have some free time. I was acctually gonna work on fighting." she explained, tilting her head to the side, ready to defend the point of learning to fight it need be. "Is being a deputy causing you any issues? Most all of us are still pretty new, even if it seems like it's been a lifetime."

Cinderflame nodded as she spoke, narrowing her eyes a bit when the medicine cat said that she was going to work on fighting. Well Snowwhisper did need to know how to defend herself if her came her way. "Alright. All the cats in the clan need to be fit if something tries to bring harm, except the kits and elders of course. They have the warriors to protect them." The deputy meowed.
"Being deputy hasn't caused issues now but earlier it did. I hope that the clan has gotten used to the sudden change in highranks by now though I still believe that some do not support Fallenstar and me." The black she-cat spoke.

Snowwhisper tilted her head at Cinderflame's words. "That is true, but the elders also shouldn't be forced to rely on others. Their life is already changed by age and they have to depend on others more, but they were still warriors as stubborn as anyone in their day. They don't like to let go, and if they've wish to remember to fight and work on it, they should, so long as they don't hurt themselves. As for the changes in high ranks, I think most cats accept it, and that's what counts. No leader, no to even the ancient and legendary Lionstar, is accepted by everyone in the clan. That goes for all the positions."

Cinderflame listened carefully. "True. If I ever retired I wouldn't want to relie on others for everything but cats who retire must learn to accept what the other cats do to help them." The deputy was very prideful and stubborn, she didn't wish to be treated like an elder anytime soon. Cinderflame still had many moons left in her.
She nodded at her next words. "There will always be cats who don't agreebut they must learn to respect it whether they like it or not." Cinderflame spoke. "It's just as hard for us as the clanborn cats."

Snowwhisper nodded. "And they do in their own aspects." she said with a small smile and left it at that for other subjects. "So, I came here to work on fighting, so would you s be willing to help me?" she asked, a small pleading in her voice. She practiced plenty, but rarely with another cat. "I'd really appreciate it."

Cinderflame looked at the medicine cat before nodding. "I'd love to help Snowwhisper, I could use some extra practice myself. We never know if IceClan needs to fight." She murmured. The black she-cat kept her claws sheathed, she knew that she wasn't supposed to use them on clanmates. Cinderflame also knew that killing bites were not honourable and shouldn't be used unless it was needed to.
The deputy crouched, ready to leapt at the white she-cat. "Ready?" She meowed, waiting for the medicine cat to also be prepared.

Snowwhisper smiled, "Thank you," she said before crouching down defensively, keeping her claws sheathed as well. Maybe she could use them when practicing on trees and rocks or imaginary cats, but not on acctual cats. She nodded at Cinderflame's question. "Yep." she said, turning her gaze to watch Cinderflame's movements.

Cinderflame liked to surprise her opponents not jusyt leapt at the them at the first few moments. A cat could easy sidestep and stay unharmed. A slight smile spread across her face as Cinder spun around the medicine cat, attempting to lash out at her ears with claws sheathed.
After her attempted blow, the deputy tried to slide underneath Snowwhisper to attempt to bat at her belly before slipping out and leaping backwards. Cinderflame dropped into a crouch once more.

Snowwhisper ducked bellow Cinderflame's first attack, attempting to strike while he struck and drew back so he couldn't dodge or block it since his paws were already busy. She was hit by his second attack, and backed away before he could attack again.

(Cinder is female. Sorry if I'm being a bit annoying by reminding you.)
Cinderflame prepared to attack again, glad that two of her blows hadn't missed the medicine cat. The deputy had also been hit as she had aimed her second blow. Snowwhisper was fairly good fighter even if she was a medicine cat.
The black-furred feline attempted to as quickly as she could to slip under her and bat at her belly before slipping out. Cinderflame then tried to quickly barrel into her and try to knock the medicine cat over as Cinder slipped out from under the white she-cat..

(Oh, I'm sorry. Thanks for notifying me. Sorry, I am terrible of keeping track of genders on this site.)
Rather than trying to do anything in that moment, Snowwhisper side stepped and regained distance. She knew what her abilities were, and the risks of getting hit were worse than the possibility of getting an attack in. She turned back to face the deputy and attempted a front strike, though she was fairly sure it would miss.

(It's fine, don't worry about it)
Cinderflame was distracted for a moment but noticed Snowwhisper's paws coming for her. She rolled to the side, the medicine cat's paws hitting her tail instead. I should pay attention. The black-furred feline scolded herself. While Snowwhisper was busy, the deputy attempted to bat at her face.
(Sorry short)
