Swiftpaw nodded fervently in excitement. "I wanna work on hunting now please!" He chirped, still feeling more than enough energy to go out and learn how to hunt!

"Alright then," she said with a grin, "The first and most important thing is the crouch. Copy this," she said, going into a hunting crouch with ease as she spoke.

Swiftpaw was glad he'd met Fangshadow, who'd showed him the hunter's crouch and given him some pointers. It'd be nice to not completely embarrass himself! Shiningflame seemed so cool and everything! He dropped down into the crouch as well, though he seemed to keep changing his mind on which paw to shift his weight onto, and his tail tip kept switching between pointing up and pointing down. He looked to Shiningflame slightly anxiously, looking for feedback.

Shiningflame inspected the crouch and nodded. "It's good, but you need to relax. If you're nervous or anxious, when you hunt your prey it will ussually show in sloppy movements. That can scare the prey away."

Swiftpaw winced, and his ears drooped. "S-Sorry... It's true I'm kinda nervous... But I just erm... I've got a fidget problem..." He admitted to Shiningflame. "It takes a lot of concentration for me to try to stop..."

Shiningflame nodded. "That's alright, but as you practice hunting, you will find that will probably get in the way, so just try to relax and fidget less. One of the things with hunting is that you can ussually take your time, whereas later, once we get into fighting, you will have to move faster and use fast reflexes."

Swiftpaw nodded quietly. "I'll try to work on it..." It sounded boring, but important to learn how to get his own little body movements under control. He'd heard from two warriors now that it would hinder his career as a warrior in the future. "Okay."

"Ok," Shiningflame said, "Now, the rest of a hunt is pretty basic, you stalk forward then pounce, but we'll work on that another day. Get back to camp and rest up."

Swiftpaw blinked. "Er, oh. Okay. I'll promise I'll work on my fidgeting for next time!" He chirped before bouncing away, assuming that Shiningflame meant leave now and without further delay.
