[[Asphyx ]]The day was mocking him, the dull bright sun and the cold warm breeze nothing compared to the perfect Asgard weather. It was like Midgard couldn't make up it's mind.
The canyons were where Thor found himself most of the time, usually not having enough energy to track down his brother. He had no idea why he didn't just make a home near him, but the warrior liked the quietness of the canyons and his little cave. He liked spotlight still, but he changed since his days in Asgard. Not the immature cocky warrior his was back home, but a wiser and better warrior than ever before. Thor learned how to care for others before himself, even if it was doing what most saw wrong.
Feeling bored, he lay near the small pool in his cave, staring at his reflection. It was no wonder his good looks, both his parents had been gorgeous in their younger days. His mother beautiful even still in her last days, even when she was sick. Even when she was dead. It never went away. It never would.
Thor stood, and stretched, walking into the middle of the area between his own cave and the wall in front of it. All down the sides were other caves, and he didn't see anyone near! He doubted anyone who lived here would want company, or were even cats. There were most definitely predators here as well, but none of that frightened Thor.
He laid in the clearing, pressing his body against the cold, smooth rock floor. Sometimes, if he was being really creative, the rock changed into a marble floor, and all the caves were the different rooms in the castle back home. But he always fell out of his day dream, and being out of the dream was always worse than being in it. Reality sucked.
Walking towards the edge of the many caves, he stood on the cliff and stared out at the clan territories. It was a long drop, and at the end were pointed rocks jutting out, which would surely kill a cat on contact. Or anything, for that matter.
And beyond the cliff and rocks was the loner and rogue forest, and after that the clan territories. He liked coming here at this cliff often, because it reminded him of the room back at home where ceremonies were held, and important gatherings for the cats of Asgard.
Each side of the cliff sloped down, making a crescent shape. Then in the middle of the forest was a long, clear path, something he was sure those crazy humans had done to the forest. He thought of both the left and right side of the forest where the audience back home would be, and the rocks below the cliff where the stairs were. Thor remembered his ceremony suddenly, he and Loki's. It wasn't that long ago, in Asgardian years. He remembered the cocky apprentice he was, and the arrogant warrior he had become. And for the first time in his life, the mighty warrior Thor felt ashamed of himself. He had never deserved the throne, and he never will. Though Loki was adopted, and a frost giant by blood; he deserved the throne more than Thor ever did.

blink and your dead i'm quick, i'm cunning, and i never miss The day had been lonely, as had the days in the past, and no doubt the days in the future. Everything seemed to be lonely, from a solitary rock, to a lone tree, and one lone, tabby cat. Asphyx plotted onwards, nearly dragging her paws and tail in the dust. Her gaze was on the ground, too ashamed to bring it any higher. She didn't deserve to life, she shouldn't be alive now.
Asphyx winced as pain shot through her hind leg, still slightly bloody from a falling rock. She had received nearly all her scars in the mountain, and the nightmare came back to her. She stopped, took a deep breath, then continued onward. Now wasn't the time to think about the past, though that's all she could think about.
When the dust was riled up and blew in her face, she was forced to jerk her head away, her gaze landing higher than it would normally be. It found a solitary cat, standing in the mouth of a cave high on a rock wall above her. At first, she was surprised at the cat's courage and bravery, standing so close to death, but as she looked, her breath was swept away. She stood for a long moment, staring, unblinking, at the sight she was watching.
It was Flick, but no, it couldn't be. But he had the same, bright blue eyes that reflected the sun perfectly, and the same even, gray fur with the most beautiful tabby markings. The only thing different about this cat was that he seemed much tougher than the fun, loving cat Asphyx remembered, the one that would laugh at something that wasn't even funny.
(( oh my this post sucks ))

[[is she based off a movie or book, or you just created her on your own?]]Thor's ears perked, as he swear he heard a slight gasp. He turned and looked, but no one was there. But when he looked down... a tall tabby she-cat stared up at him, her face full of confusion. The warrior never seen her before, but a faint sign of recognition appeared in her eyes , quickly replaced by doubt; then hope. Doubt again. Focusing harder, he could see she was scarred; and that she had a bloody hind leg. Though she still looked in confusion, she did look dangerous. She might not want his help.
Thor padded down the slope, jumping off onto the ground when the slope started heading towards the rocks; eyeing her the entire time. He forced his body to seem neutral, but he was sure she saw his preparation in case of attack. Or maybe she didn't, maybe she wanted to believe the impossible.
When he neared her, he was still a respectable distance, but close enough to see the color in those eyes. An odd mixture of blue, like the sky and ice, mixed together and locked away. Her scent of citrus and blood unnerved him, but he kept his straight face. "Are you okay?" Thor inquired in his deep accent, not knowing how to act. Whether the quietness would annoy her and be mistaken for pity, or a loud tone would anger her and be mistaken for hostility.

blink and your dead i'm quick, i'm cunning, and i never miss (( i created her from my imagination :3 ))
Asphyx watched as the tom slowly decended the slope, landing a fair enough distance away. She could tell he didn't recognize her at all, and he seemed as if he was preparing himself for an attack. Well, anyone would, from the looks of her. However, she couldn't seem to believe that the cat standing in front of her wasn't Flick, they were too similar. However, when he spoke, there was no similarity.
Asphyx seemed only half there. She shook her leg out as if she was shaking off the pain, then responded, "I don't think I'm any better off than other cats, but yes, if you speaking of my leg, it's okay. Its not broken." Her speech was light and elegant, adding to her accent and betraying her looks. However, there was still a hint of sorrow, hurt and longing behind it, as her heart was behind her words.

Thor wouldn't normally do this, but she seemed tired. The least he could do was offer her a place to stay for the night, rest a while, or maybe she was dehydrated. The water in his pool was delicious.
"Do you need... would you like to come to my cave? There may be something that can help you there." He could even sleep outside the den, but for some reason; Thor randomly felt like he needed to help the cat in some way. Like he owed her something. He offered a small grin; hoping that would help convince her.

blink and your dead i'm quick, i'm cunning, and i never miss Asphyx met his gaze once more, and his smile reminded her too much of Flick. She normally wouldn't accept such an offer, but being alone for so long had made her feel like no one else was in the world, and all the cats who cared for her died. She couldn't help but accept his offer, and give a tired smile in return. She didn't say anything, but only nodded.

Thor nodded, muscles rippling as he led her back towards his cave. It was a long, narrow path, but the cave clearing was absolutely beautiful. Whether it was night or day, the one hole in the ceiling and the few other small ones scattered around let light shine through them, illuminating the cave and making the walls shiny. Somewhat offset of the middle lay the pool, the col waters looking fresh as ever. The water continuously changed, a small water source that was undisturbed was a little ways away, the same water that filtered in and out of his pool; the old water flowing out a small hole and down the cliff. There were different ledges that stuck out in the cave wall, one directly above the pool that can be used to jump into the deeper part.
He let his gaze find her leg once more, which he was surprised still worked. It looked like she'd been traveling for a while, yet none of her many scars or her leg looked infected. Which was good. He motioned the cat to go to the pool. "You can drink and... clean your leg there." Thor paused before continuing on. "You sure you don't want anything else? I know where this type of medicine is that can relieve any pain you might have."

blink and your dead i'm quick, i'm cunning, and i never miss Asphyx followed the tom through the canyon to his cave, which was surprisingly beautiful. He had good taste, she found as she looked around in awe. Though there was a narrow passage to get to it, the location was gorgeous. Her eyes instantly trailed to a fresh looking pool, but he wouldn't dare go to it without permission. When he mentioned it, she at once nodded at him with a small smile and went to it, slipping into a shallow end so that both the wet and dry blood on her leg would wash away. She felt bad as the pool turned a faint red colour, but it slowly drained out.
When she climbed out of the pool, wet and dripping, she caught his gaze again. "You remind me of someone I used to know. He was very dear to me, but he is dead now," she said, finding a spot to sit in the sun. She sat elegantly, nearly straight up as she was told to do. The drills came back to her mind, hours of proper sitting and standing so they could look good going to their deaths.

[[By the way this is before Loki and Thor found the portal]]Embarrassed at his slouched posture, he straightened his back a little. "You remind me of someone as well, an old friend." Sif was a talented warrior, and a great friend. His parents wanted him to marry her when he became King, but that might never happen. There was no way to return to Asgard, and if there was; he didn't know how he felt about taking the throne. He may step down, and let Loki take the throne. "It was nice having a reminder of them. I may never see them again." Or any of his friends for that matter. The warrior shook his head, then looked at the cat again. "Are you hungry?" He questioned, starting to walk over to his pile of prey that was caught a little while before running into her, so it was still pretty fresh.

blink and your dead i'm quick, i'm cunning, and i never miss Asphyx smiled a small bit as he straightened up. Each thing he did reminded her of Flick, and she wondered if he'd let her call him that. When he spoke, a sad look gave over her eyes, and she felt his pain. "That's so sad. At least their still alive, and I hope you get to see them again. Never stop hoping, because we have nothing if not hope." She gave him more of a smile that what was already on her face. "My friend's name was Flick."
Then he continued on to ask her a question. She didn't want to admit that she was desperately starving, having trekked through snowy mountains for days on end with only but a snow weasel every now and then. She was an excellent hunter, but when you have no prey to hunt, there's no use. She stood and tried not to sprint over to the prey, but her steps were a bit hurried. "Thank you. How can I repay you?" she asked as she took a plump vole and began to eat. She hadn't had vole since she was a little kit, and the taste of it brought back memories. In the barracks, they had been given nothing but mice and birds.

Thor wondered her origins to make her say something like that, but new better than to ask. "Thank you, and my friend, her name was Sif."
Thor watched with an amused look at her hurried steps, then went on to answer her question. "You needn't repay me any way, can't a cat do something to purely be kind?" He paused, tilting his head as he decided what he wanted. "You can have as much as you want, it's probably going to waste anyway." He mewed, before choosing a large rabbit. "I'm Thor, by the way." The warrior said between bites.

blink and your dead i'm quick, i'm cunning, and i never miss Asphyx listened to what he had to say about his friend, Sif. She thought that was a pretty name, simple yet it sounded powerful. After a few smaller bites of vole, as she didn't want to scarf it down like animal, he looked up at him again, raising her head. "There aren't many cats out there that would do something such as this for a stranger," she commented.
He went on to say she could have as much as she wanted, so she smiled, being polite. "Thank you but, I'll have to see if I can eat all this before I go for another." She silently laughed at herself, knowing that the vole she had was probably more than enough. At his name, she dipped her head a small bit. "Nice to meet you, Thor. I'm Asphyx. I come from Pyyria."

"I'm far from a normal cat," he replied, finishing off his rabbit. "Your name, I like it. And Pyyria? I come from Asgard." Thor never shared the name of his home with a Midgardian cat, they were the only realm that was mostly sheltered from the other eight. Vain enough to think they were the most superior creatures out there. "What was your home like?" The tom questioned, hoping he wasn't being too invasive of her privacy.

blink and your dead i'm quick, i'm cunning, and i never miss Asphyx smiled at his comments about her name, home, and his home. When he mentioned his home, deja-vi seemed to overtake her for a second, and she blinked mildly. "I've heard that somewhere before. Long, long ago..." she replied, a little bewildered. How could she have known his homeland, even if the memory was extremely dull? Maybe she was just over exaggerating, and it was only a word that rhymed with Asgard.
"My home?" Asphyx smiled. "It was nothing special. Nothing compared to this." She waved her paw to the walls of the cave, which seemed to glow compared to where she was from. "The land was mostly flat. To the west, Pyyria stretched halfway over a large mountain range, so covered in snow yearround, that most wouldn't venture there." Her voice turned a bit sad at the mention of the mountains, but she shook it off. "To the east was a large marsh, and in the middle of those two landmarks was miles upon miles of trees, stacked so close together that the forest was nearly dark. Along the outskirts of the forest on the west side were dry plains, leading up to the foot of the mountain, where the plains turned stony. The area usually had no vegitation, so you were mostly walking on compact dirt, or mud, up to the mountain. The range bordered the treeline on the north and south side, but ended before reaching the east side. My home was located near the east side, right where the range ended. I was raised there, trained there, and went to war to defend that area..." she paused, her thoughts becoming storm clouds. Once again, she tried to shake them off. "My battalion died, all except for... Fang... and I. We were moved to the north side. It mostly rained."
After her long explaination, she looked to Thor for his answer, but threw in a question of her own, adding a smile to go along with it. "And the geography of your home?"

Thor nodded as he listened to Asphyx, painting the images in his head as she spoke. "My home..." he began. He wanted to explain it perfectly, make it seem wonderful. "It's bright and warm all the time. Not hot, mind you. Not too cool either. The citizens are kind and happy, and there is peace there. We have buildings, built with gold and marble and intricate carvings on and inside. There are wide halls, with long columns in said buildings. The village part isn't poor, but modeled somewhat after the bigger buildings. There is also a sea that lies close to it, with a waterfall, that flows without end. A bridge is the only way to enter Asgard, a very colorful bridge. A rainbow bridge, that lights up beneath your paws." Thor decided to leave out the part of the Bifrost, observatory, and Cave of Time, since the way Asgard was might already be confusing, adding that in would be worse. He didn't say what he was either, maybe he'd explain what he didn't another time. "It's heavily guarded, almost impossible to travel there without permission from a... Uh, someone who lives there."
