Natalia found her gaze being avoided. Whether that was intentional or not, she couldn't see many signs of. She huffed. "... I respect secrets. I wouldn't like someone screaming mine to the high heavens." She doubted she'd ever need to divulge what she'd been told to anyone for the good of Deathclan... So she felt sound in her ability to not go blabbing. She shrugged uselessly. "... Not many know about my past either. The only person who really knew is dead." She said, staring off into the distance, glassy-eyed.

blink and your dead i'm quick, i'm cunning, and i never miss Asphyx finally looked to the ground for the first time. "Oh. My only friend that I'd known here is dead, too. He promised he'd take me to show me his home, then he just disappeared. I'd found out he died a little later." Sadness overwhelmed her. It felt as if her chest was turning inside out and her heart was being ripped to pieces, but she wouldn't let it show. She simply stared at the ground.

Natalia shrugged. "... Cats go missing sometimes. Without warning, their scent goes stale and there's no trace. Sometimes they return. Sometimes they don't." She cast a glance at Asphyx. "... I suppose you're lucky in that you got confirmation of his death. I heard some cats never get that kind of closure." Though, sometimes she wondered if she'd be happier with the faint trace of hope that Jude hadn't died. Stumbling upon his dead body had felt like the final nail in the coffin of her capacity to love. To care.
Now, she felt like it wasn't worth it anymore. The pain still hurt, but it was constant. She got used to it, and she buried it under her apathy. Sometimes it reared its ugly head, but hey. She probably wouldn't get hurt again because no one really liked a cat like her.

blink and your dead i'm quick, i'm cunning, and i never miss Asphyx flattened her ears to her head. "I hardly think I'm lucky, but by now, I would think I'm used to the pain. I used to see thousands of cats die per day." She flexed her claws in the dirt. "I'm not sure whats wrong with me," she muttered, more to herself.
