Asphyx winced, and continued her sentence. "Which comes to the fact that they aren't the same, and are maybe closer to opposites, if one comes from lack of expierence and the other without the lack. I mean," Asphyx closer her eyes and shrugged her shoulders, still with a smile.

Cinder tilted her head. "It is possible to be both," she said, giving a half smile and easily covering the pain that came with the memory. Gods, she had renamed herself after him, so she really didn't know why her name didn't bother her if mentioning him in particular actually did. "I just mean that they are very similar though. Two sides of the same coin. Both are over judgement, and both just get you killed."

Asphyx dropped her smile, and her eyes turned sad. However, she brought back the smile quickly, to draw the cat's gaze away from her eyes. "That is true."

Cinder imeadiatly saw the emotion in the other cat's eyes, but decided not to mention it as she also had her own issues to deal with it. Drawing in a breath as steadily as she could, she changed the subject. "Asphynx is a very... interesting name. What's the sorry behind it?"

Asphyx blinked at the sudden change of subject. "It's not so odd where I come from. My sister was named Melandia. A cat I trained with went by the name Ryker, and another Aamir. Where I come from, Asphyx is a cat from legend, who watched over and protected our lands with her elegance and wit. She was a strong warrior, and my mother always believed I would be the strongest of them all. She named me after the legendary feline."

Cinder nodded slowly. "Well deserved I assume. My parents named me what means 'bitter rose.' even if they didn't know what it meant, I think I've lived up to it so far."

Asphyx furrowed her eyebrows, if only just a bit. "You don't seem all that bitter," she commented.

Cinder hesitated slightly before responded, "And neither is that what Cinder means." she said with a small, teasing grin. "But bitter is defined differently by different cats. I would be called bitter by anyone who knew me when I was younger." she added as an actual response.

Cinder rolled her eyes, "Never. I was a naïve child who believed there was good in everyone and trusted way to easily. It's simply in comparison to that that they would say I am currently bitter."

Asphyx nodded, though her thoights were elsewhere. What the cat spoke of had sparked an old memory, and she was replaying it in her head.

Cinder's thoughts had quickly been drawn to her parents after what she had said, and she just as quickly pushed away the thought, instead turning to Asphynnx. "You want to go for a hunt?" she asked.

Cinder gave a small smile then led the way into the plains to an area where she knew there was ussually more prey.

Asphyx followed Cinder to the plains. She knew some areas, but she didn't know the whole land yet. She had only arrived here a week or so ago, and she was still getting used to the warmth. Compared to the cold she'd endured for such a long time, it felt like the sun was baking her alive.
